I think we're taught that the Roman Empire was the greatest empire because it was so large, existed for so long and was one of the first major societies. In comparison, the Mongol empire was large but it only existed for around 160 years (compared to Rome's 1000 years), and was a nomadic society.

The patterns on the giraffes are caused by the amount and the heat of the sun, in the hotter climates, the giraffes have smaller black spots so their white colour can reflect the heat, in the colder climates the giraffes have bigger black spots so they can absorb more heat. Pretty sure the giraffes have different patterns based on where they are from cuz the spots are used for camouflage and depending on where they are the environment will change therefore they will need a different pattern to blend in so predators can’t spot them. This is just a guess btw but it sounds about right think Probs more reasons too so lmk
You can't travel west and in a straight line unless you're directly on the equator. And the problem isn't running out of physical space, it's running out of habitable space. You're still right that we've plenty to handle the 11bn cap we're set to hit in the next few decades, but it's worth mentioning that large swaths of empty land are empty for a reason.
