    I have to say that the tip for Alto vs. Pare stop signs isn’t to be used with 100% certainty. Was in Mexico recently and noticed that most of the stop signs were a mix between the two, they didn’t simply use only Alto.

    This will definitely help me out
    Edit after watching: As expected, I knew a bit of every map beforehand, but I learnt a lot of new information about the topics, and this will surely be a very helpful video to use while playing learning games.

    New-Brunswick recently changed its laws so now it does not require front plates. Although this will not really affect geoguesser for a little while. Great video, very nice to have all this information in one place :)

    when it comes to the UAE, Abu Dhabi is the one emirate that’ll have a speed limit of 140 shown on the signs, (except for 2 highways with a speed limit of 160km/h) but has very limited official Google coverage compared to the other emirates. Dubai has a speed limit of 110 km/h and all the other northern emirates have a speed limit of 120km/h.

    @9:30
    Some things to note here on the speed for in USA.
    In texas, only 1 or 2 roads have a speed limit of 85mph, that would be toll road 130 between north austin and east of san antonio. The other may be out on on west I-10 there may be some spots with 85. Most of the state is 70-75.
    If you ever see "speed", without the "limit" you will be in oregon, it wasn't until, well now like 15 years ago, oregon finally said they would update their oDOT books and include the word limit. They never have gone in and just replaced all the signs, so over time they are updating to speed limit, but there are still quite a few noted as just "SPEED"
    And finally, in oregon, along i-5, there have been several sections over the years where they have "test sections", for the name of "Safety" of them testing different road types and different max speeds. So you will see up to 75mph speeds in oregon. My last trip to oregon was in spring of 2021, and they indeed did have a test section of 75mph.
    And one more map to include, if anyone has it, and if it even would be a think anymore, is which states have a day/night and/or truck speed limits.
    Texas uses to have day and night speeds for cars, then they had it for only trucks, and now we have just a simple speed limit. I do believe some still states still have a day and night; and i know several states do have truck limits.

    Great video, as always. Just a note about the Norwegian road lines, which you have as "Middle yellow or white". Middle road lines - meaning lines that separate traffic in opposite directions - will always be yellow in Norway. If the road is too narrow, there will be no middle line at all, and if there are several lanes in the same direction, they will be separated by white lines, but then there will also be a yellow line somewhere.

    The speed limit in Germany is mainly limited to 130. But the chance of seeing German highways is also low.

  • @trixn4285
    @trixn4285 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Of course we have speed limits in germany. Only on the Autobahn (and there also only on some sections) there is no speed limit. Ordinary roads have a speed limit of 100 km/h outside of towns and 120 km/h on expressways (not to confuse with the Autobahn). On the Autobahn you'll often see speed limits of 120 or 130 km/h.

    Great information, thank you for sharing. As others have said, ohio no longer requires a front plate. I imagine it could be confusing in a new gen of Google maps since some people still have front and back plates while others may have a decorative placard or even nothing at all

    In the summer of 2020, the Ohio legislature passed House Bill 62 which removed the requirement of displaying a front Ohio license plate on a vehicle. While a rear license plate is still required, the only vehicle that is still required by Ohio law to have a front license plate is a tractor.

    Regarding road lines, it is not always true that you have yellow in the middle in the US. In the US, and I would think other countries that use multi colors, the color of the yellow line means something...in that if you cross over, you cross over into opposing traffic. In the US, white lines mean traffic goes the same direction on both sides of the line, or it's curb in cases when the white is on outside. So a two lane, two direction road will use yellow middle, but a two (or more) lane road in the same direction will use white centers. Obviously yellow dominates because outside of freeways, there aren't a ton of single direction, multi lane roads out there. This is why on a freeway the left line is always yellow, because if you cross over it and the separator (if possible), you're in the wrong late of the freeway.
