- Avengers Earths Mightest Heroes is as we all know by now an amazing and nearly perfect show and its version of Wasp is no different. She is in nearly every episode and is a joy to watch in each. I'm glad you all have been eating up these Avengers Earths Mightest Heroes as I have loved making them. Once Again Thank You All!

I swear the animators wore drawing with one hand every time black widow was on screen
Animators typically draw with one hand
Ya hear that? That's the sound of a joke going over a head.
"Wore drawing" im pretty sure you typed that with one hand watching this 😳
How do you think animators draw you think they have tentacles
Personally? I wish we got more of Wasp and Hulk's friendship. I don't think we saw enough of that.
Your right without her, hulk wouldn’t have even joined in the first place
@@AndreNitroX Yup, but it doesn't get explored much, apart from the fact Hulk will apparently listen is she says to Smash someone.
ah yas, shipping size different
@@vladlenvolkov9034 I mean, shipping wasn't my intent. Meant more friendship. Though, shipping is always a thing.
Those two were playing wild cop the moment they met.
To be fair on Janet with her being frustrated with Hank’s POV, he doesn’t really give *her* the grace to really listen to her POV a lot of the time. She has a similar belief to Spidey in that they have a responsibility to help people with the powers Hank gave them. Hank is too personal minded with his approach while she is very big picture
Their relationship always frustrated me as a kid, but as an adult it seems realistic that two opposite personalities would not work out
I think the strongest part of how the relationship was written is that both parties could be in the wrong.
Hank is hyper obsessive with work and generally has a hard time understanding others feelings/wants so he ends up neglecting Janet
Janet on the other hand just doesn’t get that fundamentally Hank isn’t a superhero (or more accurately a fighter/warrior) sure he wants to help people but to him that’s through rehabilitation and scientific discovery which Janet just doesn’t get
Neither one is “the bad guy/villain in the relationship” their just two slightly flawed good people
@@christopherauzenne5023 indeed. I’m just saying one side is more wrong is a bit off. Especially if you look at how things are
I like this Wasp's costume. You don't see very many superhero outfits like it.
Yeah, say what you want about a sundress being an impractical hero outfit but it’s fun & flashy in the ways you want superhero outfits to be (and considering Janet is a fashion designer totally fits her).
If a third season had happened she would have a body tight black suit with yellow stripes. Get this show back now!
Wasp was one of the first characters that made me feel... THAT way. She is absolutely awesome.
What do you mean?
@@Witty-jn2ykhorny
@@Witty-jn2yk He'll tell you when you're older
Mine was Maria Hill from this show lol
Why would you write that?
When black widow, jane foster, and maria hill are right there?
One quote you should have included was Wasp deciding to live at the mansion because "that's what firefighters do, they sleep in the firehouse." It really shows her attitude towards the Avengers and it was how she got Hank to be part of the team.
Yeah it also perfectly encapsulates what makes her character endearing, she genuinely loves being a superhero. Not out of vanity or fame but for that feeling we all have of wanting to have superpowers and fight crime, she is just so excited about it that you can’t help but also be
One thing I think you missed in regards to her feelings for Hank: watch her body language right before she offers up Ultron as the army to fight Kang. It is clear that she did it for the right reasons, but a part of her clearly felt like she was betraying Hank by doing so. She doesn't agree with him, but she still to some extent understsnds and appreciates his worldview.
Your right you could see the regret she had with revealing hanks secret robot army of peacekeepers that she knew would need to be sacrificed for the greater good
And yet her and antman weren't main avengers in the mcu. Loved this show and this shows interpretation of her.
Basically got replaced fully by Black Widow and Hawkeye because they were way more grounded and easy characters to do in the MCU at the time.
Still def sucks imo.
@@Shift_Saltand because of how scared Marvel were to touch on them because of the infamous Yellowjacket slap, that permanently stained Hank Pym in the comics for a while, so they were turned into old mentors instead in the MCU.
@@SecretMagician they could've simply NOT adapted the slap?
Most people didn't read the comics, hell most people didn't even knew ironman at the time.
@@stranger5011 they didn't adapt the slap in any media, but Marvel got too scared about having a hero who's a domestic abuser in the MCU so he was made an old mentor figure to Scott.
@@Shift_Salt
A man with an arc reactor in his chest, a Norse god who is on earth, a wimpy scientist who turns into a raging green monster, and a man from the 40s who woke up in present day.
Yet a size shifting man who controls ants, and a woman who may or may not be a mutant due to her powers is not "grounded" enough?
Wasp set the standard for female characters in a fictional setting. Compassionate, loving, thrill-seeking, Childishly optimistic, emotionally hyperactive, Short tempered. Always got a glint in her eyes for adventure and action, while always empathising with her friends and those she aims to protect. Simply, a character like wasp could only be portrayed in an animation setting, where the exaggerated range of expressions and movements can fully be realised.
Worry not that the MCU never added THE first avenger to their original roster, but be grateful that EMH gave us the best presentation of a character that could be portrayed. Anytime I rewatch EMH, Wasp carries my enjoyment and I'm never disappointed.
Thank you for the video, and thank Marcusyates for his rightful persistence and dedication.
those who found out about wasp from MCU first must be living sad lives
We are
I took one look at Ant Man and the Wasp's trailer and immediately knew that I was going to skip that movie.
Glad I wasn't one of those people.
Hope Van Dyne from ANT-MAN TAS (2017) > MCU Hope Van Dyne
I'm lucky cuz I found out through the MCU but I forgot
I kinda find Wasp and Martian Manhunter similar in terms of being the heart and soul of their respective teams, but they are often forgotten about due to how their respective companies underutilized them
I think DC and Marvel need a refresher course ever since the MCU and New 52 those two have taken a serious back seat.
to be honest I saw Martian Manhunters role more similar to Black Panthers within the team.
Love how this show remembered that Wasp was who created the name of _Avengers_
I love that too.
The love of my child heart.... I mean, I'm married now, but still....
Facts. The Wasp was originally planned to make a debut in _The Avengers_ (2012) with Zooey Deschanel supposed to play the role as the director sets a new script without Scarlett Johansson in fears of not able to get her in the film due to the schedule conflicts.
So, in the alternate timeline of the MCU, Wasp was going to be Black Widow's place.
Sounds like a better timeline already.
Exactly like they could have made Janet the founding member of the group while keeping widow as a spy for shield for Nick fury while working with the avengers at the same time they didn't have to really make her an official member of the group@@DinoDave150
Wasp truly is the Avengers' heart and soul, as she brings out the best in everyone. Janet in the comics especially, is such a loveable character that Im disappointed the MCU never really utilised it since she is much more of an exciting character than Hope. Janet's extroverted personality and her fun, free spirit energy really helps add a sense of infectious positivity and bright whimsy to the Avengers as she loves being an Avenger. I also like how they depicted her relationship with Hank as the two of them have a very "complicated" relationship in the comics, and her love for Hank in this show as a more introverted pacifist makes their relationship dynamic sweet. One thing about her character I appreciate is how empathetic she is as she cares about other people, is willing to help Hulk when he feels like he doesn't deserve to be on a team, or is willing to help Korvac by bringing his wife to him, and most surprisingly to me was how she told the Avengers about Kang trying to save Ravonna and despite Kang being a time skipping conquer she is still willing to look past that and attempt to resolve things peacefully
Well said despite being the weakest of the avengers, Janet prove time and again to be the most driven out of all of them
Those video essays made me realise it slipped under my radar for most of the the time. I might watch it all, sooner or later.
Also those down bad comments about Wasp thrown in between made me giggle a little. I understand why, but still.
Who else just loves him outing some of the comments people make
Who else come to see how many people are simping for wasp?😂
People like the character so fuck you
me not disappointed
Would
I forgot how much this show shaped my simpage
It was less than I thought.
Janet is inspiring. She voices her opinion and concerns. I love her first interaction with Hulk. It made me smile. Her dynamic with Thor was cool. Hearing his dialogue and saying what 😂😂. I love her heart. She may not be the strongest but definitely will prove her worth. Hopefully we see this with Hope maybe I doubt it but Cassie should definitely be the heart of YA's in their movie.

Bro who tf was asking for a WASP video?!
(Everyone, everyone was asking for it)
People listening: 🤔😮🧐
People watching: 👀😳😳
I honestly glad we got this Wasp
I do like her in Ultimate Avengers.
It's sad they made her and Hank old in the MCU along with not being founding Avengers. It really missed the opportunity of them growing into their wiser selfs. I do like her in Quantamania despite the problems that movie had.
Agreed this show and that ultimate avengers movie was my first introduction to antman and wasp and I wish they could have been founding members in the MCU too
Every EMH video on TH-cam with *that* scene of Wasp is always the most popular segment on their respective videos. We really are simple men.
Are you referring to the swimming pool scene?
@@AndreNitroXI think he means the Scene where she adjusts her Bra part of the Suit in the Buildings Reflection
@@Thebigem Timestamp?
@@21Arrowheads Turns out that Scene actually isn’t in the Show
It was a Drawing on an Adult Website somewhere and I legit thought it was in the Show :|
@@Thebigem that's crazy 💀
Me and my brother loved this character in two different ways when we were kids: I was a sucker for girl power and my bro had her as his superhero waifu.
She had badass moments and thick moments, I mean come on the swimming pool scene!
I see wasp, I click, simple as
Too bad EMH was cancelled before it could develop Janet futher as character. I could see this version of her growing into the badass leader she became in the 80's Avengers comics.
Wasp as a character was just so immensely likable. She’s a a person most of us would like to hang out with.
The only thing sadder than Janet not being a major part of the Ant Man movies is Hope not being a real character after the first movie
Wasp is if Scout from TF2 was a girk and had superpowers.
I'm girkin' off
21:41 i been caught lacking
I regret absolutely nothing
thanks for making this vid! The Wasp has always been my fav superhero ever since reading the old avengers run with my pops as a kid, its always been so sad (even when I liked the mcu) to watch modern marvel dismiss and miss understand her role in a good avengers story. she brings the team together by being so much more grounded and emotional then the boys most times and idk reacts to things like a .. idk a human ?a girlie pop who is just the life of the party and loves her job . also dresses like to the nines and a fashion icon, my queen bee frfr
The Wasp video! The madman has finally done it!
We have been asking for this for a long time
This was a great analysis and it helped me understand Janet more. Also I love all the thirsty comments for Janet they are hilarious.❤
What I love about this version of Janet is her friendship with the Hulk, it's basically big green depressed guy and overly optimistic hyperactive pixie girl.
Don’t you mean hyperactive pixie girl?
Very close to a literal Pixie girl in this case
Jan rocks in this show, legit best girl
We need a video about Amora the Enchantress 😏😂😂😂
👊 👊
😃
Woooo!
Thank you so very very much for putting me in the video, and as always awesome video, hulk and wasp are my favorite characters in the series.
I mean have we *really* gotten a good experience of MCU Wasp as an Avenger? For all we know her chemistry with the others might just be perfect too!
This series really is something special. It's a shame it wasn't more popular, especially since it came out at like the perfect time in the early to mid 2010s. And the fact that it had nothing to do with the MCU meant that you were getting a fresh story, something that certainly hearkened closer to the comics. And Episode 6 and 7, Breakout, was just a fantastic premise for the team to come together. Graviton was such a powerhouse, there's no way any single Avenger could have taken him on. They needed each other.
This show is the perfect introduction for kids or anyone who is not familiar with the world of marvel
Lmk if I miss any

Real talk these videos might make me rewatch the whole show
I really love her,she truly is the heart of the team 😊
Hank seems like he's written to be like mid to late 20s were Jan is written to clearly be closer to 18 19 20 that party girl scene
I think both of them are in their late twenties, Hank has his own lab and Janet is a famous fashion designer
What I really appreciate about EMH is how it’s able to give characters very human and understandable flaws, with its best example being wasp. I think the best instance of this is how she argues with Hank about their relationship how he deals with his overall beliefs due to their opposing views on being hero’s (especially when it comes to a head where she tells him that they’re just bad guys and that they’re supposed to be hit in the episode where he quits)
the wasp from this show was so perfect. This show was so great in general. I was gutted when it got killed in favor of Assemble.
Your not alone, the overlords decided to make a cartoon that resembled the live action movies stripping away all heart and personality
@@AndreNitroX yeah and then they did the same thing to the marvel vs. Capcom series.
Maybe Hank having a sack/bag rather than a suitcase or something was to show that he had so little in the mansion that at the moment he felt it was time to go; he could just grab his little bag and split since he was never there for more than simply being with Janet.
I mean it totally makes sense for Hank to have a rucksack. As we see in the Ant-Man movie, he just shrinks personal items down for easy storage
Ok small detail I love about her and Hank. 1:58 when the two are shrunk down she is much larger than Hank. This makes sense because Hank has a better understanding of pym particles/needs to shrink more for scientific work but it also conveys an ANT and WASP more with ants being smaller while wasp are larger which I think is kinda quite.
But an aspect that was pointed out to me that I love is that Janet is the “annoyance/dodge tank” of the team. Basically someone who constantly annoys/draws enemy fire to them ( is to hard to hit) so that the other teammates can either power up or create a plan to beat them
I would say there is an arc actually for Wasp though. Janet's arc is not as grand or personally changing personality wise, but maturity wise. Its the Arc of Relationships, as she grows to learn about the fact that she is the peppy person, party girl, feels perfect in many ways. But she comes to learn that even with all that, and her love of Hank, sometimes that wont be enough. Try and try as she did, she ultimately did hurt Hank through having him around for so long with the Avengers, forced his morality down a path he never wanted even, to the point that this push hurts so much, she loses him. And I think that's a huge arc for her, although she wont learn from it quite yet fully.
Dude the comments appearing was gold also you might enjoy the super hero squad show it is a bit more geared to kids but it was still entertaining when i was younger
In hindsight I think it was a low-to-mid show but it was a good stepping stone to watching EMH and introducing the Infinity Stones, Planet Hulk, etc. My favourite part was Ronan the Accuser accusing the Silver Surfer for not wearing a seatbelt in a car.
I love how all of the down bad comments have been immortalised in this video.
Janet did appear in the Future Avengers anime as one of the main characters
EMH was great at taking the best parts of these characters from the comics and putting them into the show and Wasp is one of the best examples of that in my opinion.
EmH is the equivalent of justice league unlimited, they do every hero and villain perfectly
Honestly, the first thing I could think of when I watched the show as a kid was she had the same voice as ino from Naruto
Ive been waiting for this for *checks watch* about a week since i started watching this guy
She is MY FAVOURITE Version of the Wasp!
[EDIT]: Unlike those People who Thirst for her, I Love that Character because of all of those Admirable Traits as Shown in this Video and if she was a Real Person she would make a Great Friend, TBH!
Let's go! Finally get to see Wasp's breakdown. Also, accurate description as heart of the team.
Because I grew up with this show, I have grown to dislike the MCU simply because Janet isn’t an Avenger and Hawkeye is extremely mid if not worse. And those are just the most glaring problems for me.
There’s actually many more I have issue with, that I just don’t care to list here.
I have been looking forward to this. Janet in this show has so much personality, her passion to become a superhero is good, her relationship with hank is messy and she can come across as overbearing at times but she is still likeable
Checks time "damn only an hour ago im good at this watching youtube thing"
I believe Janet Van Dyne not getting mentioned much is due to the infamous time where she was slapped by Hank Pym in comics, which led to Ultimate Comics' take on the Avengers known as the Ultimates, which was edgier and made Hank Pym a wife-beater to Janet, due to her being more successful than him and making him envious of her.
Meanwhile in the MCU: "I had needs Hank!"
Wasn't that in hishe of antman 3?
Cool Yostverse content! Subbed 🎉
I love Wasp 🐝 at 6:28! She and the Hulk have a “sweet little sister/grumpy big brother” thing going, especially when she’s making faces at him. Also at 7:26, after the Hulk snaps out of the Enchantress’s spell, he discovers it lifted right before he could flatten Wasp, the first Avenger who showed him kindness to him. He gently places her on the ground, then considers the possibility that he really *is* a monster before leaving. But things got better within their friendship throughout the series as for example, in “The Kang Dynasty”, where Thor blocks the Damocles’ laser and starts falling from the sky, Hulk cheers Wasp up with a sweet portion of encouragement.
Wasp: “Thor!”
Hulk: *[smiles]* “Goldilocks is tough. He’ll make it.”
I think I have Hank's luggage figured out in that scene. He had a couple suit cases that he shrank and put in his pocket. The bag is his dirty laundry, and he didn't want to carry dirty laundry in his pocket
Growing up this was one of my favorite shows and make me love all thr members of the Avengers in this show, It makes me sad seeing how the MCU treated these characters.
I like how EMH hank would never hurt wasp to the point point even Ultron couldn't. But OG comic Hank was teaching her the meaning of equal rights 😂😂
And all that happened just because miscomunication between the artist and the writer.
@@uncannydcmarvelous5732 it was glorious
Long live EMH
I this Wasp was cool in this series and Earth mightiest heroes Wasp is my favourite adaptation of her character she really is the Heart of the team Seeing her be the first to accept Hulk and her struggling with her Relationship with Hank and seeing that he does love her despite not saying it like she wants him to do.
I hate how in the MCU most female characters are portrayed as serious and uncharismatic while most male characters are goofballs, since I suppose it's very empowering in MCU's eyes to say that women are not funny, yet in the comics and animation it's the opposite. It's actually way more compelling when you have these rough dudes like Thor and Cap be all-serious, and then there's this tender girl who is the heart of the team and always oozes positivity in spite of everything. The MCU missed hard on not having Hank and Janette in the original roaster of The Avengers.
God EMH was so good for no reason.
Thirst on the black vidow video would be the only one comparable
Wasp in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is simply goated!
Everyone see can't wait for season 3 from marvel studios animation.😊😊😊
She was the first person in the show to see Hulk for the 1st time and didn't bat an eye, while the generic citizens just absolutely act like it's Armageddon when he has a midnight stroll.

I LIKE This
I like that her Asgardian outfit (the helmet specifically) resembles her original comic design
Another great video.
I always liked Wasp, in the mainstream Marvel Universe, and on this series.
Hulk should’ve smash wasp
not Hank
Dude, she would be paralyzed for life if that happened...Or she'd end up becoming that cute Wasp monster again.
Yep, she definitely is perfect😳
This Janet is my favorite version of the Wasp.
Wasp's positivity is definitely infectious.
The mightiest support
Wasp was always my favorite on this show, the teams emotional heart and the most unique part of the cartoon canon, and it's her cutest design in any medium.
But looking back after watching this video I see what you mean by toxic. She's kind of self absorbed even if she's an altruistic hero, she never truely understands the guy she supposedly loves until he leaves the team and never listens, she just drags him along for the caped action ride and expects him to get in line on the same page with her. And basically every bad thing that happens to Hank is all her fault. Ultron was truely all her fault, not Hanks, and yet Hank is the one who has to 'take responsibility' or ownership of Ultron becoming evil. But Wasp was the one who wanted Hanks idealized correctional harmless robots to learn the concept of violence. But she never takes any shared responsibility for that and acts like this is just something the team needs to forgive Hank for.
Her relationship with Hank, the guy she theoretically loves the most really calls into question if she's actually a genuine altruistic hero or if she's just a wealthy privileged debutant white girl who is clout chasing and virtue signaling while chasing an adrenaline filled adventurous life.
Just when I thought you were above simping for Janet, with all the thirst posts being used throughout, you go and do this in the end 24:18 you are a man of culture indeed!
I thought it would be funny for yall, as it’s been a running gag on the channel specifically for black cat 😂

Though he's more of a side character in the show, but I think 🤔 it would be awesome to see a Nick Fury and SHIELD 🛡 video 📼
Hello there. I stumbled upon this video of yours and thought that it was really well done. Your insight on the character of The Wasp was interesting and really entertaining. I have to admit that I am a fan of this particular character and thought that this series was one of the best versions of an Avengers Animated Series. Nevertheless, I must admit that the comic version of The Wasp is not really sunshine and rainbows, like this series shows her.
I mean Janet in the comics actually has done some bad things, like creating Cyclops style Sunglasses just to help funded the new Avengers team.
Look, I never saw EMH, but I do know Hank Pym was awesome here, and Wasps got Gyatt as always, so 8/10
Easily the best version of Wasp. Best design, best voice, best personality, best role... She's awesome! It's a shame Marvel will never go back to this version of the character. They're too busy making everything like the MCU. Bless you, X-Men 97'... You were spared from the MCUifacation.
Best character hands down
