Besides the points you mention, another aspect of EMH Thor I really like is his relationship with Jane Foster. Glad the creators went with the paramedic version of Jane rather than her being Astrophysicist like in the MCU, since it creates a contrast between the couple: While Thor is a warrior who always solve problems by punching the bad guys, Jane is a paramedic, seeking to help and heal people. Makes sense that she would be the one to connect Thor to humanity and play a role in his growth from arrogant warrior to a humble hero. Too bad this series couldn't show more of their relationship moving forward. It would be very cool if there was an episode where Thor and Jane, somehow, switch roles, with her becoming the Mighty Thor (allowing her to experiece what is like to be a warrior) while Thor becomes Doctor Donald Blake (allowing him to experience the life a of doctor and deal with the responsability of taking care of his patients).

EMH was so good. Vaguely hoping it may get the X-Men 97 treatment. Sad thing is even on the off chance it may happen it would be atleast 10 years before it does. All the characters were well written.
That note about how Thor usually just shows up to get his butt kicked by villains in fights, same issue with Superman in Justice League. Really just one of those cases where "This dude is a God so he should basically be unbeatable. But if he's too OP then other characters can't get a chance to shine and there'd be no conflict." They overcompensate heavily and knock the powerhouses down in effectiveness to give the win to others. They're still great characters, but their mishandling in fight scenes diminishes their overall depiction.
Just because Thor gets hit alot doesn't mean he's weak. Much like Superman he takes the hits that no one else can take. It's done to show scale. If something can hurt Thor than the audience takes it more seriously. Something to note through is that Thor is constantly holding back. He is more "cosmic" in scale so he'd likely be more at home fighting cosmic entities. another thing I love about this version of thor is the mythological aspect of his character media like the ultimates comics or the MCU feel almost ashamed of Thor's roots in mythology, like they're embarrassed of what the character is and so always try to say "no he isn't mythological he's a powered up environmentalist" or "no he's not mythological he's just an alien" EMH on the other hand is shameless of that fact and embraces the mythological part of his character, like yeah its silly but must super hero comics were goofy back then and that's partially what made them fun
This version of Thor sold me on the character, before the MCU. previously I thought Thor was the LAMEST character. Wasserman’s take on the character is, much like Bloom’s Captain America, my favorite performance as the character. Again, despite the GRAND nature of how he speaks at no point does it feel like he’s ACTING. It feels so natural, to the point I could listen to his Thor do a long winded monologue and not be tired of it. Even in Marvel vs Capcom 3 he has a taunt where he can do basically a whole monologue. This Thor feels as grand as he speaks, and that’s what it comes down to. Does he walk the walk as grand as he talks the talk? This show was the first, and for me, best one to do so.

Tony's denial of magic and Thor's lineage are among many reasons why I've hated his character so much. Science isn't the end all-beat all answer to ALL of humanity's questions, in the long run. Half the time, it does more harm than it does good (as shown many times in the series)
@@saajiddaya2152 But even AFTER seeing Asgard and all it's sorcery, Stark STILL tries to claim there's a "scientific explanation" behind it all. The dwarves, drow elves, faeries and especially the Gods aren't something out of some sci-fi novel like he assumes

@@saajiddaya2152 It is. I guess Odin thought that since they are gods, they should have a child.

Can't wait for the Wasp episode. She's genuinely one of my favorites.
EMC was amazing for my
Childhood and now these videos are too good
Great in-depth review of Thor's arcs in EMH. Loved that show and Thor is my favorite Avenger. Just two little details...
proponent: noun. a person who puts forward a proposition or proposal. a person who argues in favor of something; an advocate. Synonyms: enthusiast, champion, supporter. a person who supports a cause or doctrine; adherent.
alleviate: verb. relieve, lessen: such as. a. : to make (something, such as pain or suffering) more bearable. a drug that alleviates the symptoms. using relaxation techniques to alleviate stress.
Thor wasn't completely wrong. Mere mortals can't handle most of the threats humanity is facing. The Avengers are not mere mortals.
I recently rewatched that episode where Hulk leaves the team
And i believe that the Pepper potts that tells Thor to go after the hulk is actually the enchantress
I think it is hinted or at the the very least the fact that she calls almost immediately after Thor and Hulk argue is interesting
That’s always what I had assumed since she appears right behind where Thor was sitting after
@Venxous it's definitely very likely but either way, really great video 🙏🏽
I wanna tell you one usless but interesting fact:
In russian version of this show, Thor is very very poetic. He always talk like it's a poetry. He uses lot of old words, just like ancient warrior would do. Russian translation and voice acting in shows are often absolutely trash, but this time, they did really good job.
Cool. Is it on TH-cam?
Enchantress was a 🔥
I really like that take on it.
Thor not feeling better than everyone because he's stronger, but because he's stronger, he should use that strength the make their lives better.
If you can resist Amora advances, you may lift the Mjonir. No wonder only Thor can lift that thing.
As much as they nerfed him, I still think this is the best on-screen version of Thor.
How was he nerfed?
Nerfed? He’s their big gun how is he nerfed
He was absolutely not nerfed in this show
@@YEs69th420 He was killed by Ultrons lazer and was getting beaten pretty badly by Ultron before he got his Vibranium body. I know Ultron is meant to be strong but come on Thor should have at least had Ultron on the ropes on the other way around.
@@jasonboakye4526 They made him completely useless when Beta-ray bill took his Hammer, I know he was worthy but Thor is still the god of Lightning no his hammer??!!
This reminds me: Was curious as to Thor"s, Hulk's and (Skrull) Cap's costume changes? Like Tony had a good reason for his, the others just show up in the next season with new suits; mid-season 2 for Thor actually. And you can't say something like Hulk's pants start a testing because he's been wearing those since he first showed up in the show and it didn't bother anybody
Love this content continue what you’re doin more EMH JLU or whatever you decide cause I’m sure these take awhile to make we appreciate your hard work
Seaon 1 Thor here, not anything beyond. Though I will always like the unintentional backhand Cap threw at Tony at the start of the finally that his 'great breakthrough' was already solved sixty years prior. LOLZ!!
This show got me to start reading Thor comics.
another thing I love about this version of thor is the mythological aspect of his character
media like the ultimates comics or the MCU feel almost ashamed of Thor's roots in mythology, like they're embarrassed of what the character is and so always try to say "no he isn't mythological he's a powered up environmentalist" or "no he's not mythological he's just an alien" EMH on the other hand is shameless of that fact and embraces the mythological part of his character,
like yeah its silly but must super hero comics were goofy back then and that's partially what made them fun
This show foind the best way of portraying Thor's arrogance without making him a jackass.
Good stuff man! Audio was great. Keep it up and 100k is around the corner
Crazy how a show on the avenger's had a better character then the MCU movies on the character
I think Earths mightiest heroes Thor is The best Adaptation seeing him going from having a God Complex to respeacting Mortals at the end of the first Season was good.
Video is awesome. I'm lovin these analyses of one of the best shows.
I say this with a lot of love & you've probably got a lot of comments saying this, it is pronounced "coo" like a dove not "coop" like a chicken. It is Fr*nch so you gotta say it in the dumbest way possible.
Can't wait for the wasp video!
I love EMH so much
I really like with Xmen '97
We get a new season for this
Tony's denial of magic and Thor's lineage are among many reasons why I've hated his character so much.
Science isn't the end all-beat all answer to ALL of humanity's questions, in the long run. Half the time, it does more harm than it does good (as shown many times in the series)
That's why there are character arcs
@@saajiddaya2152 But even AFTER seeing Asgard and all it's sorcery, Stark STILL tries to claim there's a "scientific explanation" behind it all.
The dwarves, drow elves, faeries and especially the Gods aren't something out of some sci-fi novel like he assumes
The super cut video is going go crazy, I always these videos every time w new one comes out
You should do a breakdown of Amora The Enchantress and her turn to pure evil by the end of Season 2! Greatest Female Vilain in Marvel so far.
The audio of the clips only comes through left speakers. Not being a demanding viewer. Just poijnting out in case you didnt know that it might be in mono. Great video!!!
Thankfully I found and fixed the issue, i wouldn’t have know if it wasn’t for yall letting me know. I appreciate things like this to help me improve 🫡

"These videos are getting longer and longer."
"Wasp's video will be the last one."
Oh yeah, it's all coming together.
Hey, I think you are looking for the word "proportion," not "proponent." Great video, EMH is the best iteration of the Avengers, in my opinion.
This Version of Thor is my Definitive Favourite!
the video's like counter went up 4 times within 4 minutes :]

Nah it should ve been me
😂
He's so cool
That is really good video.
Did you split all the show audio to the right channel only on purpose? Cause i genuinely thought the video was corrupted when i was watching at work with one earcup off.
No it’s unfortunately an issue with the video show itself on certain episodes if you use both earbuds or over ears, I am looking for a solution to this.
Are we going to skip the part where thor blows up a huge area to kill that force field guy probably killing thousands of
👀 never said he was perfect
Generic comment for the algorithm.
Really liking these series of videos. One nitpick though: coup is pronounced like COO rather than COOP.
I disagree that Thor was to weak in this series. He was consistently the strongest member of the team. He was more often then not the last one standing and he whenever he finally showed up it was always a 'the cavalry has arrived moment.' I mean he single handedly defeated the Skrull military, he single handedly defeated the Kree military, he was the last guy left during Gamma world, and he brought Galactus to his knees.
Yeah that was a joke that just didn’t land
I love them all
I truly don’t know, is there more than one season of this show
Yes there are two seasons
Love your vids bro
1:30 EMH is in the same universe as Wolverine and the X-Men confirmed by the writers of the Yostverse and there was plans that Asgard would come to Earth after Ragnarok
Do you think Hulk vs Thor takes place after Earth Mightiest Heroes ?
@@comicbookking3446 It's confirmed that it takes place after EMH
@@victorhernandez5013 I’m a little curious on how it takes takes place after EMH since Odin has an eyepatch in that movie and Asgard is not on Earth.
Do you have the fear and hunger knocking noise in your bgm??? I swear I'm hearing it every few seconds and I gotta be honest that is NOT a fun sound lol
I think MY favourite portrayal of Thor is probably in the movie Kung Fury (2015).
Andreas Cahling makes Chris Hemsworth look TINY in comparison!
They are not God. Says Odin himself. They are just aliens just like Saiyans.
Who's Tony Stark? I only know a Tony Stank!
wolverine and the x-men and debatably spectacular spider man are a part of the same universe iirc some other films like hulk vs iirc too and thor tales of asgard
Can you do video's of other Marvel character like Wolverine from X-Men the Animated Series or Spider-Man from The Spectacular Spider-Man?
You’ve got to start putting subtitles on those clips or something man
We just gonna ignore that Thor nuked the city to fight one man? Tell me, with a straight face, that no one died.
I'm sure the citizens had time to evacuate. No harm done.
When does Wolverine and the X-men take place in relation to EMH? I never really knew the answer
makes sense Thor's weaker in this show he's the strongest avenger so just like Superman in JL they had to nerf him
Loki is Thor's stepbrother, not his brother.
Thor always refers to him as brother, even though I know he’s technically his step-brother I go off what Thor says
