Greetings from Canada thanks for sharing this video I understand that living on a boat in Holland or most European countries with rivers is a different life 😮

@@robtheplod There are lots of widebeam permanent cruisers and many miles of rivers/canals that they can navigate. Okay, a widebeam can't access ALL canals, but there are still plenty to choose from which will allow you to travel far and wide.
If this boat is on the River Nene ( we pronounce itt Nen) then there is no access to Midland Canals only down the Nene to the sea, ( don't think it would be able to cruise the Middle level either ) it would still be nice to just cruise the Nene though.
I would be bored going up and down rivers. But must say this is a beautiful boat. WOW! The drawers are wonderful. Put them in my new kitchen! No squatting and digging in the back!
These wide beams are so beautiful compared to the narrower boats ! I think the narrowboats are fine EXCEPT for the sitting area - just too tiny to relax in IMO.
Not much of a canal boat but very much of a river one, what is close to it on the canal route is more than well compensated by the river access where the narrowboats are total no go. Also the normal two bedroom space in comparison to the super cramped one on a narrowboat with similar lenght achieved for only 15-20% up in the price is a very solid selling point. Beautiful, beautiful boat.
My late partner had a narrowboat and we mostly cruised on rivers as we found the wildlife and width of water preferable to canals - and not so many locks! Widebeams can access many canals - though not all.
What a strange boat. And the doors into the stairs. It might be the first boat to that no room to invite anybody. And the strange table in the captains room.
It's wired for solar, but you need to put the panels in. Not a fan of the carpet. Put a proper sized sofa in to give you the breakfast bar back, and it'll give you a bit more room as well. I'd turn the guest room into an office. The price is not bad for what you're getting
There are MANY rivers and canals that a widebeam can access. There are TH-cam channels of permanent cruisers on their widebeam boat as well as plenty who have one as their 'holiday home'.

It's bigger than lots of apartments and has the added benefit of being able to travel. For anyone wanting to live aboard and/or permanently cruise it's bloody cheap. Ditto for someone wanting a holiday home. You wouldn't get a garden shed for that price in London for example.
some young couple will buy this and think wow let's cruise the cut , and one day it will dawn on them this boat is to big for the canal , mooring it is a nightmare, because is so heavy lots of places aren't deep enough, they will have to run there engine to charge the batteries for 6 hours a day or more from october to march , and every narrow boater they come in contact with will think get that ducking grate thing out of my way plz .
Canals are not the only inland waterway, the draft is the same as most narrow boats and can be moored just the same. Very "narrowminded" view in my opinion.
Iol i dont work for rugby boats, i have spent 5 years living on a narrow boat and am now into my second year on a wide beam. There are some canals you cant cruise because of the narrow locks but plenty you can and the draft on ouf wide is the same as our narrow. Some narrow boats have deeper drafts than others, especially the older ones. The wide is a dream on the rivers. I get this said a lot and just wanted to put out there it is not the case.
I am an American who followed the TH-cam rabbit hole to narrowboats, and I'm absolutely in love with this!
Oooo! I could live very comfortably on this boat!
absolutely agree. And the only things I would change is the decorations and replacing the spare bed by a desk and make it a hobby room. 🙂
I am a American who would love to live on the canals. It is a Beautiful place . I really like the UK and the people.
Me too.
Fabulous boat one of the I’ve seen, thank you James a great walkthrough as usual 👌
Look @ the little guy, he is soooooo happy!!!
Morning!! 😊😊I’m awake for a change watching you tube. This is a nice looking barge that is for sale. 👍👍
Glad to see that Bumble found a toy to run away with! 😂
Um barco casa de muito bom gosto. Parabéns aos proprietários. Saudações do Brasil.

Super nice clean boat for 160k, thanks for sharing.
My farm cost that , and is now worth two mill , my boat was a money drainer

Not a barge.
This is Earls Barton, where the river Nene is pronounced Nenn...
Does a wide beam boat exclude most of the canals you can use?
Yes heavily restricted. People buy these to moor/live and will rarely move....
Lovely
@robtheplod might aswell just buy a static caravan then, same luxury half the cost

Stunning!
£159,950
ME AND PAULINE LOVE THIS.. IS IT STILL FOR SALE?
Look up Rugby boats
Yes it's still for sale
Wonderful boat. I am wondering what Aintree and Nottingham could build today for USD $204,000.
Is the dog supposed to stay on the boat! Because puppy got off and we didn't see him get back on!
Loved the poco boat d9nt know if it’s music related
That would take me down the Rhine/Danube to the Black Sea ❤
Lovely
Watch out ror ruskies
This is the first boat I have ever coveted.
Me to 😊
I want it too
Beautiful boat.
Would have been nice to put a price on it.
Was all going well until I saw the toilet roll put on the holder incorrectly so it’s a no from me!
No, no the toilet roll is correct ... and I know I am in the minority! Ha ha
Sigh...the amount of toilet rolls I've had to change over...
🤣😭🤣
Deal breakers right there
Hi its lovley is just canel boat or sea as well ❤
can i just ask, is it lovely ?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Didn't mention dock fee's and upkeep plus all other costs good 2 know?
Then ask!

wow super nice i wonder if u could get a mortgage for it as cant see many people having loose change in there pockets haha
Yes, she is still for sale. Please visit our website for our number www.rugbyboats.co.uk
How much does it cost to moor something like this for the year ?
Hi Trev different marina's have different tariff depending on location. We pay £400 a month in the midlands. If that's any help.
Ours is a 60ft 12ft wide beam.
The closer to London you get the higher the cost. Depending on where you want to keep it.
Any chance I get free? Or low price?? 😅
About £2000 a year to keep it on the water I think mooring charges can very across the country
£1200 a year not 2000
Are you havin a laff i pay nearly that for a 57ft narrowboat with fees to crt ,insurance etc???

Can an American buy this boat?
Already retired
yes you can
I want one of these.
Beautiful
How much please
Its on rugby boats website with lots of info and a download able brochure. Its 159,950
Could you imagine living on that?
Are any boats like this for sale in the USA? This would be perfect on the Mississippi or even the Arkansas.
There are very few, designed for the UK inland waterways, not so good on rivers, and not classified for sea going.
I'll be frank, it lacks character. Might be o k when filled with clutter. Two double beds are pointless
I suppose they are for marina living
@@ladygardener100 No. They can access many of the canals and rivers in the 2,000 miles of inland waterways that cover England and Wales.
What a lovely boat x
How many m² altogether including the 2 balcony things?
L X B = Area
price?
Price on website.
£159.950
How can it feel new
Not a lot of wear and tear and the very limited mileage used.
Two Great moments in your life when you pick up your new boat 🛥 😅, the 2nd when you eventually sell it 😮
Only flaw for me was the small fridge. A full size can easily fit in that kitchen.
“Lovely” …
Very nice what a difference a few inches make!
As the actress said to the Bishop. 😂
These wide beams are so beautiful compared to the narrower boats ! I think the narrowboats are fine EXCEPT for the sitting area - just too tiny to relax in IMO.
However a narrow boat can use the whole canal system, it depends whether you want a boat to sit on - or one to travel the whole system on.
Its a beautiful boat, I would move the tv, but that's the only thing I would change. I would add solar panels
Yes TV in weird place.
That’s two things then

Tiny fridge and freezer!
Wth are you talking about "well maintained" its 6 years old !
Its worth about 50 quid!
I grew up between Oundle and Thrapston,it's definitely NENN,but you know better (smug laugh)
I live just below Peterborough and here it's definitely Nene (as in Neen) - smug laugh 😂😏
I’m not surprised it’s only got 215 hours on the engine, she can’t fit anywhere 😂 Probably been chugging round the marina
To and from service jetty only!
I have seen this boat out on the nene a few times. Lovely boat.
