    100% with you on tpu v tubeless. Ran tubeless for 2 years but in the end the hassle and mess got to me. Promise of zero punctures turned out to be a myth too.

      Exactly. Sealant may slow down the leak, but it never fixed it for me. After a puncture I face a choice - either install an inner tube with all the mess or replace the tire.

    I have two Superteam wheelsets - one for endurance road 45mm deep, and a gravel set 38mm deep (x 24 internal), both taped for tubeless with zero issues. I've put thousands of miles of them and they have been amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to get another Superteam wheelset or recommend them to others. Onlt thing that would put me off these is that mine have those flat section steel "pillar" spokes tho, they've been super durable.
    IDK about carbon spokes, I avoid them.

    • @donavonlewis1039

      curious why do you avoid carbon spokes?

    • @fennec13

      @@donavonlewis1039 - some years ago these thinner sorts of carbon fiber spokes would keep snapping, and even today a sideways impact, as from a rock, against a spoke under tension could cause one to break. So, I was happy, when I got my wheelsets, that the spoke were steel, flat sectioned spokes.
      Watching guys like Hambini - I see some brands or types of carbon spokes are well-liked and desirable for weight and aero on
      road wheels. But considering that I ride gravel and some pretty tough areas of pavement, so a bit more insurance against a broken spoke is what I prefer.

    • @milkdud3618

      Recently crashed after front Pirelli Pzero sidewall blew out. Thankfully I had steel spokes that do not shatter and splinter like carbon on side impact.

    12:34 The table and chart are based on Park TM-1. The spoke tension is nonlinear relative to the deflection applied by measurement tool. Since you use a different tensiometer (Ztto), the chart can't represent the true scale of variation. It will require a test jig to establish the correlation between the tension force and the deflection reading of tensiometer.
    Pillar spoke and Blackcat Wheels have their own tension calibration jigs ready for sale, on the other hand it's not very hard to DIY.
    10:45 I didn't know Minoura made the digital dishing tool until now. All other dishing tools look like toys compared to this.
    But Minoura's folding truing stand is another story, I sold it after using once and bought a Park TS-2.

    Rear wheels are usually dished more to the drive side than being centered because once the rider sits on the bike it centers. It's because of the much steeper drive side spoke angles or flange offset.

    • @georglinde3910

      Never heard of it... by how much?

    • @merckxy54

      No. They are dished off the centre of the hub towards the freehub side. But the rim is still in the centre of the wheel between the dust caps!

    • @mikeh6286

      @@merckxy54 Nope. When you put your weight on the wheel the shallower angle nds spokes achieve less of a tension drop and thus pull the rim towards the nds side slightly. Oz cycle measured 0.3mm dish and that is likely intentional. It used to be ~0.5mm but maybe the all carbon construction requires less of this offsetting.

    • @merckxy54

      @mikeh6286 The rim has to be central to the distance between the removable hubcaps or it wont sit central in the frame!

    • @georglinde3910

    Try using evaporated "Finish Line Teflon chain oil" on Pawl or star ratchet and for the other surfaces "Motorex bike grease" You will this way gain smoothnes and virtually silent of freehub.
    Personaly I use as abowe on my Novatec d042SB.
    Another thing is will it not be a better to change nyples side to hub side, this way rotation mass would be reduced and nyples would not be a concern in areodynamic characteristic of a wheel.

    With no rim tape, how will you balance them? The lead weight strips from your other video says to put it under the rim tape. If you just put them on this rim bed the tires might break them loose and the sealant might effect the adhesive.

    • @bernardjukema508
