    Having just done this on a 69 Chevelle with the Hellwig FX kit and I can tell you that I certainly did not have that much clearance between the body and the cross member. With 3” exhaust there is only abut 1” clearance between the body and the collector extension.

      Too bad it’s copyrighted.
      Could get away with it in old TH-cam though

    Do you bother to check the fit re the body to make sure nothing interferes? How do you get the header off ...I assume that 1 tube bolts on?

      Yes that one tube is separate. When I had the body on i ensured there was plenty of room.

    What wall thickness is the square tubing you are using? I'm about to do something similar. I'm putting a 1986 c10 and a 350 nv3500 5 speed in a 2005 ford expedition chassis.

    Hi Lukas,
    I hope you can help me with this question, If I make a new front crossmember to mount and attach the old front crossmember on it, detach the lower control arm from the old crossmember and attach it to the new crossmember (that is on bottom).
    Will that new angle change in the LCA add upward force (coilover wants now wants to stretch because the LCA is further, but the weight of the car is pressing it) makeing the LCA moving upwards therefore giving the car more lift?

      You are referring to the k-member? Under the engine, between the front two tires?

      @@A.A.HadiWhite all those angles will have to be dialed in for sure! Unless you are replacing both frame horns with a tubular design, or something, I don't believe it would raise the front of the vehicle.

    whats the purpose of the adding the metal to the frame rails

    • @lukasgarrison8505
      @lukasgarrison8505  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason I boxed this frame is to eliminate twisting. Basically, making your frame more rigid improves handling
