- An enforcement operation of the EDSA bus lane, an exclusive lane that was created as part of the plan to improve, modernize and prioritize public transport.
Aside from solving many issues on EDSA, this exclusive bus lane proved that it’s possible to move hundreds of thousands of commuters, while only occupying a single lane.

Running away should have jailtime minimum of 3 months for them to learn. This will just become a bragging rights for them considering most of the motorcycle riders has years of expired registration or has no license at all.
Fortunately, the SAICT do have the plate number of the motorcycle which ran away from enforcers.
This gives them the option of asking LTO to take action against the driver and/or the registered owner.
Can they have someone watching the bus lane 24/7? That would be good for the country's economy as well with all the penalties they would get.

For having a Professional drivers licensed, for the 1st offense their license besides the fine, they need to be suspended for 6 months even on the 1st offense. And if MMDA & auxiliary agencies are going to do an operation, they should have the 2 chase bikes on hand for the ones that decided to run. And the ones that decided to run should be fined Php10,000 + Php5000 and license confiscated and suspended for 6 months automatically.

Early morning has less traffic. These violators are really hard headed.
That's what surprised me about many of the riders they caught in the bike lane, a couple of days ago..
The regular lanes were flowing smoothly, with a relatively low volume of vehicles on the road - especially given the time.
But despite that, many riders were still using the bicycle lane. It's like it's already a habit for them 🤷♂

Running away from a traffic violation should be an Olympic sport, easy gold for the Philippines...
Given the number of riders I see run from enforcers and even police, on a regular basis, it's certainly a huge problem.
I just hope that enforcers will always take the time to submit the plate to LTO for action. That's the only way people will learn that it's not okay to run from the law.
Yes they can try to radio ahead, but generally if you can't get someone stopped at the time, and there's no big bike on standby to chase them - the chance of catching them is very slim.
And just to be clear, sometimes cars do fail to stop, or run away, but it's pretty rare. Whereas I see motorcycles running or failing to stop, in nearly every operation.

Add additional personnel to enforce the traffic law until those violators follows the rules
When enforcers flag down a motorist, how do they check if it's the 1st violation or the motorist is a repeat offender ?
Do they have access to a database to check on the spot?
What happens when a License gets suspended? Does the mmda confiscate?
Once you claim your DL and pay for penalty it will appear all your record if any then you will know how much the penalty

I now see so many VIP cars with blinkers and motorcycles at the EDSA bus lane ever since MMDA/iACT stopped their operations. Implementation cannot really be sustained.

Even if there is non contact cameras, the enforcers still can take photos of the violators manually to all those violators to show them that they can't run because they have photos of them and their plates.
Hopefully we'll have a 24hr rotation with these operations. And a higher penalty! Hopefully the non contact apprehension will be back and better than before. Unfortunately they can't have it just enabled for the bus lane violators as others may see that as unfair.

What is the reason for the Supreme Court suspending the non-contact fines? As actual violations and fines skyrocketed after it was suspended, it obviously worked and must be cheaper than sending teams of enforcers out every day and everywhere.
Maybe it was a judge that was caught and used their powers to prevent it from happening to them again

I became a victim of a tampered meter (yellow taxi) from NAIA Terminal 2 just over a month ago. Paid 200+ pesos for a 10 minute, 3 km ride but the meter is already at 6+ km. When I asked the driver what's the number 6 on the meter (obviously distance) he replied that he's just a new driver and he doesn't know. If he does not know how to operate a meter how come he's driving a taxi?

How do they check if the violators they apprehend are first timers or repeat offenders? Hope this gets noticed.

Did they catch the run away rider? Because if not, he will become an example for more motorists thinking they still have a chance of running away from the law without consequences.
They have the plate number of the rider that ran away, meaning LTO has the opportunity to take action against the rider.

According to R.A. 4136 on topic of safety tips while driving it said that “Never Follow Or Guide An Emergency Vechicle like ambulance or firetruct” maybe they just got their license through fixers. Thats why they dont know the rules and regulation of traffic and about R.A. 4136. Thankfully, because SAICT is deputized by LTO - they do confiscate the license.

When someone runs away, they can submit the plate number to LTO for action. Typically this would be in the form of a show-cause order.
Although there have been recent cases where people have simply ignored the show-cause order issued by LTO.
Keep em short. The videos often speak for themselves.
Speaking of taxi's white ones. Everytime I go to Maynila the taxi drivers won't let me ride unless I pay close to 1,000 to go some where. If I say meter they won't let me get in. I can afford it so I just say eff it but I know it's way over what the fare should be.

I wish operations are 24 hrs. It will act as deterent to violators as well as lessen crime..but iact and mmda should be accompanied by regular police or military police since they are unarmed, illegal parking, drunk drivers and other road violators will think hard before commiting a crime

Harangin lahat ng violators n yan. Ilista mga plate numbers agad just in case n tumakbo sila. Dapat laging maraming personnel or enforcers manning the bus lane na manghuli s knila. 10 to 15 personnels na nakapwedto strategically pra effective operation nla. May spotters to record them malayo p lang pra marelay din agad s mga kasamahan nilang nakaabang n s knila. Mahirap manghuli kung kokonti peronnel at disorganized kc dami talaga nilang mga violators lalo n mga MC riders. Sakit talaga sila ulo. Takaw disgrasya p sila
