Maybe at this point, they should install advanced cameras like in Fastrak in California where they take pictures of the license plates and just send the fee by mail, and if they don't pay for it, it can result on vehicle impoundment, license revocation/suspension, or jail time for more than 3 offenses. It can also help with the lack of personnel. Although it might be expensive to install it at first, but in the long run it will recoup the cost of the cameras and also make it easier for personnel to maintain. I've been watching Gadget for a long time and I agree with everyone at least that they should increase the violation fee to at least ₱10,000. ₱5,000 is not enough increase.

Im curious about this. Are they slapping 20k fine to those that given show cause order or even those that try to run on the 1st enforcer but are stopped by the 2nd or 3rd.
@@hypnos4545 If you're not apprehended by hand, you 're still slapped with 20k given a show cause to the riders because their plate numbers are all recorded with their powerful lenses. If you are caught eventually after a short chase, you still get P20,000 penalty.

Better in the US but there are also kamotes in there who refuse to obey traffic laws. BMW drivers never use blinkers and always cut everyone in the traffic like they are racing in a game, drivers crossing the yellow solid lane going inside and out of a car pool lane, speeding going 60 in a 30-40 road.

There aren't enough personnel, which is why many violators get away. I don't know who the admin of MMDA is, but if each driver who violates gets a fine of 5000 pesos, how many 5000 pesos are lost because of the lack of personnel? Let's say each enforcer's salary is 800 pesos per day. Each enforcer can apprehend 5 to 10 violators per day. That's more than 20 times their salary or the salary of additional enforcers. It's super worth it. And the biggest benefit is that many drivers will improve their behavior. So why not hire more personnel and use the fines from violators to pay their salaries?

The problem is the 10 year validity of license. Di kinukumpiska ng MMDA yung lisensya, ticket lang. So kung kaka.renew lang nila eh after 10years pa nila pwede bayaran.
@@yajsonthe penalty incur additional interest if not paid within time limit. That will be huge amount after 10years. Also you need to get a clearance from MMDA before you can renew your license.
MMDA encompass the whole MM and that includes violation on rotational obstruction, clearing, etc

There are overhead signs, road-level signs, lane markings etc
But the signs don't specifically mention the penalty amount.

theres no plate because LTO is not issuing plates. what do you mean?? its not the riders fault that LTO doesnt give out plates.
Even if you don't have your official plate, you're required to attach a temporary plate.
And actually a lot of the time, when the rider opens his compartment, the LTO-issued plate can be seen inside 🤦

But as for why, I think it's pretty obvious why you don't want vehicles driving around without plates, while their official plate is being processed.

4 I feel like I miss the clearing operations more now since we get to see the different states of our roads in different areas of metro manila. Clearing operations vids had the involved parties sometimes speak what's on their mind on camera which is fascinating and sometimes get really trendy.

@GadgetAddict, would you know how many simultaneous operations are happening on EDSA, both north and southbound? Last Wednesday, I saw a Busway operation, but just a bit further, motorcycles were back in the bus lanes, seemingly not expecting any more SAICT operations.

Bakit din di lagyan ng barriers ang pagitan ng bus at private lanes. Grabe paano kung nagkamali ka lang lalo na pag walang signage or di mapansin ang mga signs? Agree kayo ng agree sa penalty at halos ipapatay nyo yung mga violators sa panggigil nyo, check nyo muna din kung maayos na ginawa yang bus lane. At isa pa, bakit kailangan pa natin ng mga taga harang sa kalsada? For intimidation? Sana talaga mas dumami na yung train sa Pilipinas para di na kailangan mag sasakyan at makotongan ng mga traffic officers aka as kotong officers.
Show the apprehension stats on a monthly basis including fees, number of times apprehended, suspensions, revoke licenses, etc.
This rule on bus lane is the same as rule on sim registration. People who wants to disobey will disobey no matter the penalty imposed. They will always find the way to do their thing in the end.
mr gadget addict please recommend to the authorities in order to avoid/deter private motorist using the bus lane the bus lane should be going the opposite direction from moa to monumento bus should be using the left side of edsa and right side from monumento to moa that way the passenger will also be safe when getting off the bus

Hey GadgetAddict, I'm not sure if you noticed, oftentimes people who get caught on a bus lane violation always has the blue pants. Are they police or security guards? its kinda telling you know.
This is not a sustainable solution. The penalty should serve as a deterrent, not as a source of revenue. We lack discipline, which is deeply rooted in our culture as Filipinos, and this must change. We have only recently started enforcing rules, and now riders are having a hard time adjusting. 😅😅
If it's a traffic violation then it shouldn't be a deterrent cuz there are already signs and they just committed a violation. If it's a safety issue like motorcycles can't on a bridge then it should be a deterrents

Inilayo na nga ang mga Bus para hindi maka-aksidente, Lumalapit parin talaga kayo sa Bus, Ayan lapit kayo sa opisina ng LTO para mag bayad ng 5k sa pag tubos ng inyong lisensya.
Parang kulang pa yung 5000 na penalty. Gawin nyo nang 20000 + 1 month suspension ng lisensya + 1 week seminar para sa 1st Offense. Ewan ko na lang kung magdaanan pa yan sa EDSA Bus Lane. Ang hilig kasi karamihan ng mga riders Lane Splitting at hindi nahuhuli.

Why not pass a law that'll allow other motorists to submit their videos/ dashcam videos of buslane violators/ other traffic violations/ violators to LTO, MMDA or other Gov't organizations who can penalize violators and in turn get incentives or subsidies either thru fuel discounts or gov't fee transactions? This will significantly increase force multiplier effect for government, make kamotes on the road think twice about their behavior and road driving ethics and perhaps even minimize lagayan system as the profit goes to " deserving citizens ".

I have no idea why this is on my suggested list as i've never been to the phillipines.. but anyway the bikes don't cause any congestion so don't really see why they should get tickets tbh..
The first camote shown should be given a 3rd offense, he tried to run. As long as they are letting this go, people will keep doing it. they shouldn't be spending time trying to convince the kamotes go to the buslane layby, they should just say, you try to run, we will give you the 3rd offense violation.
Increase the fine to P10k. It seems these people find P5k as peanuts anyway.
