Fun Fact: One of the few remakes that is waaay better than the Original. Rene Russo is Great. The whole film is perfect entertainment.
Watch the original after the remake. I didn't like it. Why? People are shot in the robbery. This one I liked because nobody was hurt, except some thugs by the guards. Once innocents were shot then I lost all sympathy for the original "Crown".
I still like the original more, the King of Cool was in it and Faye was stunning . At first I didn't like the remake at all. It grew on me. I now like them both equally. This scene in particular. Makes me miss my boat, I loved that boat.
@@user-ie8bz7jz2r Dennis Leary played his part superbly.
A hundred thousand dollars? Multiply that by a hundred....
This was a good movie...
The best part is he’s grinding a winch with no line on it.
WHAT IS THAT?!? WHY WOULD THEY EVER FILM THAT INSTEAD OF THE REAL THING?
@@markoakley4520 there are many winches on a sailboat that pull in the lines with a grinding motion, the winch he was grinding on did not have a line on it, so he wasn’t doing anything, but they left it in the movie
So, among the combination of HD film and that beautiful music...you choose to direct your attention on the 'line less winch'?
Absolutely brilliant movie, one of my all time greats. Ms. Russo - is pure bliss, and the entire catamaran scene is perfectly shot, cut, and scored. Thank you for this.
The music...
Back when the composer of the soundtrack still made a difference.
I really like this scene, seen it many times. I especially like the World Trade Center in the background. If you ever went there and saw NYC, The Statue of Liberty in the Hudson River with ships going to and fro on a sunny day from the observation tower. That was an awesome sight to behold. High above the streets, seeing people looking like ants as they went about their business. Planes flying in the distance Crown looks like he's having fun and she looks stunning.
Thank you MGM for restoring this in showing it in HD. One of the best scenes in the whole movie! This sounds amazing on Bose products!
You work at Walmart boss

I like this show a lot...
Awesome
Did he really just like the splash... or was he trying to see how big a splash he could make?
Goes from clear skies to overcast at the 26 second mark.
1:32 major to minor switch - goose bumps!
I wanna be like this rich 😎
$100k isn't all that expensive for a boat that size.... just sayin'.
And capsizing what is a big dinghy won't come close to wrecking it.
would anyone know the title of the background music?
Bill Conti -The Catamaran
Naw, the boat is fine.
Bent mast ?
Yeah, I don't the boat was wrecked, merely... SWAMPED!
the worlds warmed up, its a flood not swamp
I'd like to see an extended version of this scene.
whats crashing a 100 thousand dollar catamarang
MGM🍇✌🏻✝️
What is the music track for this scene? Seams to be hard to find
I have this and I listen to this one and the 1968 version. I got them on I tunes years ago and I do listen to them. I like instrumentals. I'm sure with a little digging you can find what you're looking for.
It’s on the released soundtrack, it’s written by the film’s composer Bill Conti.
Glider pt 1, Glider pt 2, and Black and White X5 - available on the Thomas Crown Score, composed by Bill Conti.
