- This is day 2 onboard the ship on my way to Iceland. This is the first time I have a glance at the remote Faroe Islands - what a stunning place. I would definitely like to go back there some day and explore those islands, but right now, I am staying onboard to get to Iceland. I am almost there and cannot wait to get off board!!

I mean, there's literally hundred thousands of "vloggers" in the internet today, but few can make such content that would excite and grab the attention of the viewers up to the end of each videos. And Itchyboots is one of those!

There's something totally genuine and human about Noraly's videos, no pretence, no ego, just enthusiasm and honesty. I already know a lot about motorcycles, the thrill, the freedom and unfortunately the danger :( What I learn from Noraly's journeys are the little golden nuggets of local info and her own challenges and how she overcomes them alone and with such humility :)

William Simmons harbor pilots I bet. Every ship I’ve been in we intentionally watched for the harbor pilots to be picked up while still out at sea. Those guys have the skills.
Yes, and they use swivel thrusters to push the ship sideways into the berth. Look closely as the ship gets close to the dock and you will see evidence of the braking thrust.
Dennis M it’s fun to watch. I really loved watching the harbor pilots come aboard! They have to be strong and fast. On most ships, they have to take a rope ladder at least part of the way into the ship. I was amazed at how many harbor pilots had grey hair and also had NO trouble boarding a moving ship from a moving boat AND then jumping on or scaling a rope ladder at sea!! COOL GUYS!
You can do it if you have side trusters ,I think driving in our cities is probably riskier than docking that ship.

Have no idea because I live, just as Noraly, in the Neherlands and have never been at the Faroes and Iceland.
I live in the fareo island to (Tórshavn)
I was going to visit but hate the pointless whale slaughter and heard the government introduced a new law that said if anyone saw whales and didn't report the sighting to a local hunt master they would be breaking the law.

The only thing still missing of a "mainstream" Itchy Boots scenario is a known channel to discover and promote her as a series producer for them. There are series which are worth not that much on these channels, so unique Itchy should become a global star.

@@SavvasHiker While on the surface that might seem like an awesome opportunity for someone as lovely as Noraly, I can't help thinking such a direction would be fraught with Poison Chalices and Faustian Bargains with MSM moguls who then try their best to 'reshape' (Read: dumb down) Noraly's unique presentation style down to fit their own 'formula', ... or (advertising) agenda. And in that process, something truly precious would be 'lost'.
For all her gregarious engagement with us, her fans and followers, via her cameras, Noraly has a fiercely independent spirit who would chafe against any attempt to corral or prescribe how she presents her content and experiences to the world.
Let us revel in, and vicariously partake in her own joy of being Mistress Of Her Own Destiny as she shows us Our World, on Her terms.

I was there next to you in that amazing, beautiful and huge ship, listening to you and watching all that lovely scenery around, I could feel the fresh wind that blew your hair in the air. Faroe Islands is just one of the MOST amazing places where I've been. Thank you for sharing this, which gave me such a warm feeling in my heart. If you haven't been there, well... you really should. Those red houses with the grass on top is "Tinganes", the government point... and also where you will find the house of Faroe Islands Prime Minister. ;) Again, thank you for this and I also wish to return there soon again, and again, and again :) ...
Hi, I just wanted to tell you how much i have appreciated your videos. I have been battling with mental health for a very long time. you don't know how you have helped me get myself into a place where i can feel free and amazed with what life can offer me. I am taking my motorbike test to start to travel and see all of those things that i have only ever dreamt about. so i just wanted to say a very huge thank you. my first destination will be Amsterdam as i love the Netherlands so much, (I have in fact been to the motorbike show at the conference centre in Utrecht delivering some helmets) then off to Germany, nothing to hard for my first overseas trip. Motorcycles are a great way to deal with mental stress and mental health. You can talk out loud, you can talk in your mind you can give your brain a chance to work things out. Best therapy ever. There's a reason why it's called "Wind Therapy"!! Put your knees in the breeze and just go, then just let go.

really enjoyed to see the Faroe Islands, even from only the ship. have been a licensed 'kortegolf radio' operator since teenage years. i met people all over this globe, and your travels now show me see some of these countries. Faroe's remoteness is intriguing. as you said, i also would love to visit there.

Just luvin’ very much this current series of videos. Firstly, as a fairly frequent visitor to Netherlands (Heemstede) BÚT, hadn’t realized your journey was via Tórshavn. This is of special interest to me as my mum was born in Sumba, on the island of Suderoy, the most southerly part of the Faroe Islands. It was in Tórshavn that my English father met my mum during the war, when he was on mine disposal duties in the Faroe Islands.
It was an emotional moment at 3:43 as my brother’s house came into view dead centre of the footage 👍 My brother used to live in Iceland - flautist in the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, and Reykjavík Wind Quintet - but now lives and works as a teacher and conductor in Faroe Islands.
Can’t wait to see your Icelandic adventures...

Good old Swiss Army Knife! I carried mine on walks for about 20 years and then finally used the saw blade.....my wife and I cut a lamb out of a thicket on a remote part of a moor. Really enjoyed that video and the sense of anticipation for your Iceland motorcycle adventure. We wish you well. Cheers from Devon UK.

I have two favourite moments in here. First one starting at 3:36 where it shows the island far away surrounded by the calm grey waters. It felt like I'm in some kind of a dream and man that background score had such an effect! It was magical. 🤩
Second one starts at 3:24 where your happiness appear to have no bounds whatsoever. The emotions seemed so genuine and raw. A very captivating vlog overall! 😌

And the weather.... When i was a truck driver i once had to take the railship from Malmö to Travemunde. When we left the captain announced that he would do a fourth and last attempt to leave the port otherwise he would dock back to shore and wait it out. That attempt just worked so you can imagine how the ride was. Luckily i still had my sea legs and could enjoy the fine food and a good night sleep.
Can't wait to see the Iceland rides and hope i will have some good internet next week and the 2 weeks after that so i can keep up with the video's when i'm on my own trip.

Everyone's English is so good! The crewmember at @10:58 used the phrase "can be a lifesaver"--which is somewhat colloquial. Even when you first boarded the ferry--the staff's English was exceptionally clear (even considering that they must repeat the same phrases, to many different visitors). Haven't visited Europe in 20 years--I think this has changed since those days.
Wow, never thought of the Faroes as a destination to go. May have changed my mind!

Don't think I'll ever forget my first bout with sea sickness....fishing offshore at Carolina Beach with dad and 30 others....I was the only one sick. When we docked later in the day the captain gave dad and myself free tickets the nxt day.....We both had a dose of dramamine before breakfast....Kinda funny looking back when I joined the US Navy before graduating high school to go fight in Vietnam. Cheers to new exciting adventures Noraly.

There is another place in Europe that sits on both the American and Euro-Asian tectonic plates. The Azores archipelago has two islands on the American plate and the other seven are on the Euro-Asian. Maybe on another trip you can visit that as well as it might also be geologically interesting 😊

Those grasses on the roof top actually keeps the house warm during winter and cold during summer ..... Villages in New Zealand too have grasses on the roofs. Love watching your videos, saw the Season 1 with Basanti...that was beautiful...All the best for your future trips..

I vividly recall Noraly's crossing into Kyrgyzstan (S1 - Ep79) oxygen-starved, freezing-cold, riding on a "road" of half-frozen, slippery mud. I have much respect for such a hardy, always-cheerful soul.

유서연 I come to South Korea every year. It is SO beautiful, and has great infrastructure and public transportation.
One of the best kept secrets of international travel. The train from Cheongnyangni Station, in Seoul, over to Taebaek, Jeongdongjin, and Gangneung is a world class trip, for only about $20 U.S.!

I really hope you will visit the Faroe Islands. It's one of my favorite places I've visited (and I've been to Iceland too, found the Faroes to have more charm). I also hope to return to the Faroes since I didn't get to see all I wanted last time. You will totally love it there
