Lots of very familiar people, places and things. I love just walking around!!! Everyone should just take their time and explore the Aci's.

Hi Eszter and Alfred. I just stunned, I'm flttered... my cheeks are getting red :-)))
Anyway, I'm sincerly happy to have met you and every time I ever enjoy to see your video. Often I think to myself our loved Sicily is treasure chest you never get to know it utterly.... you contribut to that discovery.
Sharply you said several sicilian contributed to make great that isle, among those the writer Giovanni Verga (of Catania) and the cinema director Giuseppe Tornatore (of Bagheria).
You know, to both of them, it occured an odd thing. When Verga published his famous novel, in 1881 (over that time started the first expate sicilian wawe toward America), italian critics (and I remarking italian no sicilian), attacked cruelly that novel, cause, according them poit of wiew was plenty of mistakes (some dialect word which broguht out the value of written), was rude eccetera.... after some years, that novel become on of the most famous novel throug out Italy.
When Tornatore played his movie the first time, italian cine critics, enjured it without pity... but when the movie was played in France, cause one actor were french, french critics , instead, had been enthusiastic and said that movie was a master piece. Soon that movie was candidate in USA e won Oscar award as best abroad movie.......The critic reputation was overwhelmed.

Eszter, I need Conderelli, pastice Alla mandola!!! 2 pounds each. Tradition has it that Carnavili in Aci Reale is older than Venice's.

Great show. What are the dates in October for tours. Also is there a selection of cheese to buy when leaving Sicily. My sister and I wanted to bring cheese, olive oil, etc. back with us. So if we buy a cannoli or another dessert to eat on the plane on our way back to the states will that be alright. My sister is the smart and younger one, so she has been checking flights for our trip. We are so excited. Can’t thank you enough for all that you are sharing with us. Oh, so we can’t bring back a loaf of bread either, oh no …..

In Italy, uniforms make the job worth having! And the more embellishments, the better!
