its a zelda one sealed, i mean I wouldnt buy this, but this collector/reseller thought it was worth 500, so the market must think so

im not a gamer by ANY means, but man I really enjoyed this video. Back in my day I got an Original Gameboy for 8th grade promotion, had a Sega Master System (Afterburner ring a bell?) and bought a GBA Glacier when I got married. I just like seeing the retro stuff so well maintained and the passion you have for these items.
i wish i met more people in real life who played sega master system. i recently saw a full walkthrough on Time Soldiers and there were levels and enemies i had no idea existed! lol no youtube guides to follow back then. we had the 3D glasses, gun and floor mat pad too. that system was GREAT fun all the way through high school even.
Seeing some of those prices for just the boxes makes me glad I’ve held onto almost all of mines, lol. Also I knew the 3DS were up in price but I didn’t think they’d be that much.

id love to collect retro video games to play them on original hardware but scalpers have ruined the hobby so bad ive no interest in spending those sums of money lining some greedy assholes pockets just to be able to enjoy a game
Back then, you could buy a 3DS in good condition for a very reasonable price. Then the pandemic happened. Let me tell you, the pandemic made the scalpers more nuts than usual.
@@mosstitsi legit sold my new 3ds xl with 8 games + homebrewed for $109 pre pandemic, actually one of the biggest regrets of my life. not even money wise, just that i gave away my childhood like that. thankfully i didn’t include my white 2 copy since i couldn’t find it because that would’ve been even worse LOL

I have all the standard gameboy colors loose, completed that a few years ago. I got stands from rose colored gaming for them, they look really sick on my shelf above the TV.

The only console I care for in my whole game collection is my 3ds’s systems, so seeing you buy up all the handhelds was a great video to watch

You could’ve spent way less (or maybe float to the same) and flown to Japan and got the experience of Japan and found the real holy grail of video games and bought countless game boys for Pennies on the dollar.

It's cool to see 2 Dudes Gaming pop up in all of the convention videos I see, they're about an hour and a half from where I'm at and I've gotten some stuff from their store before.

Love buying Game Boy Colors. Hate hunting for ones with nice serial numbers and back plates haha. The way the back looks is more important to me than how the front looks lol

Wow a game boy micro in the box (I saw it over your shoulder in the background) I once bought a dsi for $50 and he gave me a game boy micro collectors edition with it. I sold it a week later for a few hundred bucks.

The problem is also, "a couple years ago" prices were so different from today. Retro games and old handhelds are much more expensive these days.

@AstarionWifey yea, i had no idea. Im not a pokemon guy to begin with so when I found all the old stuff i was honestly happy with the 30 because i was actually going to throw it away. I only sold it on the suggestion of my wife, to which i replied nobody wants this old crap. Boy was i wrong.

whats funny is tht for one of my birthdays way back when i was a kid my mom bought those napkins and some plates for a pokemon theme party lmao 13:50 its insane how things can gain value over time. i also own tht 3ds xl red with X and Y so its surreal how long its been since the release of those things

As a small time collector myself, really surprises me the amount of purchases that were just tossed in a bag on top of other consoles 😢

Do you remove batteries from the consoles? I found a MIB Nintendo dsi and the battery had swollen up like a balloon.
Before backlit gameboy colors became a thing the price for gameboy colors were as cheap as $20 bucks on mercari and I bought 35 of them back then. Now the price is around 60-80

Have you guys ever done charity stuff? I though about the nostalgia of the game boy colours. What about donating a bunch of game boys with pokemon and Mario games to a children's hospital? You could do a video about it and give the proceeds from the video to the hospital, too. Could be a great way to give back once you hit that 100,000 subscriber mark!
