I don't know how TH-cam recommended this to me, as I don't watch anything gaming-related, but I'm glad it did. Watching you shop for N64s took me back to when my parents gifted me the n64 at Christmas. Similar to your story, but my parents made it seem like I didn't receive a gift that year. Everyone opened presents and I was left there without a gift. My parents told me “we were saving your one and only for last” I remember tearing up as I opened it and caught a glimpse of the System on the box. Thank you
As a true 90's kid I can't tell you how much nostalgia this video was for me when i saw the N64 and Gameboy Color, hit me right in the feels and almost made me shed a tear remembering all of the great memories I had with my brother and friends. I can safely say, I lived in the best era to be a child and I didn't even know it at the time. If you able to spend $10 grand on anything let alone a hobby item, there is no such thing as broke. It means you have plenty of money spending like that in the bank without worrying about bills
Whoever this guy is he produced a tremendous video, well edited, well thought out, and no doubt has worked his ass off to get to where he is today. This is the first time I've seen his channel - I'm a fan.
When I was in primary school, my father bought me a Gameboy Pocket and a Famicom. I still play video games but it seems like the most of the magic is no longer there.

I've never felt pure nostalgia but I think this is how it would feel. The Nintendo 64, Gameboy Color just bring me back to the 90's. The fact that we where living the best childhood and didn't even know it, this is as close as you could get to going back in time and I love it.
@@pvrplefrank1155 Early 90's was a fascinating time for sure, mid 90's until 1999 was okay, the only good thing about that time were actually video games and some underground music. December 1996, I was 5 years old. My dad and uncle said they got us(My brother and I) something “nice”. I was not expecting anything big because we didn’t had a lot money back then. They show me the box N64 and Mario Kart, I couldn’t sleep that night. It was impossible for me to close my eyes other than blink from time to time. What a wonderful memory
As a kid we opened all of our presents on Christmas morning but no N64. Then my parents saw a letter on the mantle. Turned out to be a scavenger hunt from Santa. We found an N64 at the end and had a memorable Christmas.
I sold my childhood collection after I got married, and now that I'm divorced and rich I've been rebuying them....only in mint condition. I'd rather be married, but having my games collection back is a nice runner-up prize.
Need to find a wife in the first place who doesn't want you to sell off your childhood, or anything you are into. They should support your hobby's and sentimental stuff even if they don't understand it. My wife got me a masterpiece Optimus Prime for Christmas one year, at the age of 38 or something, and got me a gaming PC chair one x mas as well.

I’m not really a completionist with much. I don’t want every game/console, but right now it’s been a lot of fun collecting all the Nintendo handhelds and Pokémon items. My collection is full of stuff that’s meaningful, I think is cool, or I enjoy playing. Sometimes I’ll look at a piece that I haven’t thought about in a long time and decide to let it go. But the collection grows faster than it shrinks for sure 😂
Remember getting my first N64. My family couldn't afford it for a while, I was fine with it. Maybe a little disappointed but I was still happy with what I had. One day I was out helping my Dad carry something back in from the car - he took out that same N64 box and I was in tears.
You know when you have all the money to spend is it really that much fun buying games when you can just buy them all. I think when you don’t have as much money to spend and buy games gradually is more fun and fulfilling.
Thanks for making me remember all those fun times I had as a kid as well playing all those N64 games... pretty much same top 10 favorite games as the ones on this video 😅
My first gaming device was the Atari ST520. I call it a device because not sure it can be called a console. However, my fondest memories and gaming joy was spent on Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. I came from a poor background, so having these consoles meant so much to me. My Super Nintendo bundle was the Super Mario World, and my second game was the European version of contra called Super Probotector. To me, it will never be contra.
I was reminiscing watching this. I was a kid when NES came out. I spent my childhood playing SNES. I remember reading a magazine behind the Christmas tree drooling over the forthcoming N64. My friends would come over and play N64 all night. I remember seeing it for the first time on demo at Toys R Us. I feel sad for those that missed these things and more.
I remember being a young kid and thinking about what I'd ask for if a genie granted me 3 wishes. I can't remember all the wishes, but I do remember that one of them would have been, when I turn on the water faucet at my home, instead of water, NES games would come pouring out. I've remembered that as a point illustrating that I have no idea what I really want and how, even if I could be granted my heart's desire, it probably wouldn't do much for my long-term happiness.. Seeing this, though, I guess I would be king of the nerds at these gaming conventions if I'd have gotten that wish.
The issue i always have with conventions like this, is there's often a lot of people selling the same thing, assuming we're not talking about super rare stuff, so it feels like trying to find the best price/best deal is hard as by the time you've looked all around and figured out that "yep, that first guy had the best price" you go back to find he's already sold it. I guess it's a "me problem" but it just makes these sort of things difficult for me.

Man, stuff like this is why i hate living in the EU. These retro game conventions just doesn't excist, and if they do excist, they're where you can't comfortably travel to. Loved this video, so much nostalgia. Just had to subscribe.
I remember my grandma buying one of those funtastic 64s for my cousins in Boston.. we were in Seattle at the time and I was around maybe 9 years old… we went to the pawn shop and she was getting it for them for Christmas and she asked me what color I thought they would like and games… still remember being jealous to this day 😂
This just makes me shake my head. My 10 year old son and I just lost everything in a house fire 3 weeks after Thanksgiving and people out here spending 10 grand on gaming systems
I might go out and buy the sets that remind me of my dad. He really loved gaming with me. We were poor but he always found random game finds. I remember him and I playing and beating windwaker. Also following that story id get fed up of him hogging windwaker and I put a quarter in a electric socket and all of the lights and game data went out. HE WAS PISSED 😂 For all his faults he was a cool guy. I remember after a bad day of school he picked me up and surprised me with a used copy of kingdom hearts 2. At the time I never even played the games but he thought id like it. Now it's one of my favorite games ever. I'll never forget how that day made me feel. I miss him, alot. Ps. Randomly stumbled upon your TH-cam channel and wow I’m loving it so far games are my life kept me out these streets for as long as they could lol 😂
Just having that non resale version of mario 64 signed would of made my whole week
Man, stuff like this is why i hate living in the EU. These retro game conventions just doesn't excist, and if they do excist, they're where you can't comfortably travel to.
Loved this video, so much nostalgia. Just had to subscribe.
I dont remember Blockbuster letting you rent whole consoles.
I love the comradery between you and the guys!
Mario Kart for $35 is a steal
Mario 64, Donkey kong country, Killer instinct, & 007 Golden eye all time favorite N64 games!
Ps. Idk why I decided to share this. The video just made me think of him.

They’re all sellers, as long as everyone’s making money everyone’s happy
Watching you forget the blue funtastic n64 and seeing it next to the smoke grey broke my heart
Hold up, 50 bucks a pop for Funtastic? Even buying multiple, that's a steal.
I'm amazed at the bargains you were able to score. 50% off for a whole box of games??? I'm so jealous lol
I just happen to have that light blue FUNtastic N64 sitting right here, in front of me 😍
I have a similar nostalgic Christmas story with me and my brothers getting that same bundle and the rest is basically history. Enjoyed the video
Let’s all appreciate the hard work that goes into making these videos!
The mark ups are insane. Thanks for introducing me to haggling 101
Dude you just brought me back and I so enjoyed this video. Thank you and God bless.
Damn imagine if that convention was sponsored by DKOldies. Those N64's would've been over $5000 alone
lol. This was at TORG in Columbus Ohio. Saw you guys there making deals and told my wife about your channel. Good stuff!
I did the same as you with getting Charles Martinett to sign my copy of Mario 64 cartridge when he was at Wales/Telford Comicon in the UK a year or so back so great minds think alike 😂 Mine wasn't a Not For Resale version, just a standard one, but still cool 😊😊
