You recently did a poll over whether or not we would want more Japan vlogs... and I mean of course the answer is yes, because it's great content! However... I do miss more of your old mod and restoration videos. Even if it is a lot of stuff you've shown before, I think it would be pretty cool for you to do more of that stuff and maybe branch out to home consoles and such. Keep doing what you do!
5:17 They actually released these for Club Nintendo in America as well, I should see if I can find the one I got way back when when I go back home. I believe the carved writing in the ds game slots on the left are just from the previous owner hahaha
Fun fact, in the UK, the Gameboy Camera was the first time we ever saw a Pokémon on Nintendo hardware, through the stickers you could place on photos. Im 98% sure of this after checking the dates myself, with a memory as a kid of wondering who these strange things were meant to be. A couple of years later, the answer came.
I loved all the game stuff, but that Sony Walkman was a beauty! I love collecting both games and walkmans, so watching all these videos was a absolute joy. Thank you for making these vlogs 😄
THE SODA CAN CAMERA WAS EPIC! Ive got a boxed lime dsi and it's an... interesting color. You got a lotta good stuff! That walkman was incredible, and as usual, all the game boys, ds's and accessories were all also simply amazing! I look forward to seeing future (heh) videos from you!
The GBA link cable was used with Legend of Zelda Four Swords. When you and your friends went into a cave, your party would show up on the GBA! It is also how you went to Cap’n’s island when playing the first Animal Crossing!
And FF crystal chronicles too. My friend and I recently played that game using our gameboy sps as controllers, you view and manage your inventory and read letters etc on your sp screen while you play on the tv
Awesome video! Sadly, my wife and I just left Japan, and it was the experience of a lifetime! I'm really happy that you were able to explore most of Japan and find such rare crazy items that most people have never seen! For anyone watching this video I implore you to go to Japan! The food, culture, and lifestyle is so much different from the west! While I was there I was able to get a Gameboy Advance ( transparent pink) a Gameboy Advance SP ( Silver) and nintendos new Game and Watch devices! (Mario & Zelda) all the devices worked and were in excellent condition that it was hard to justify if they really were used! Also, the prices for these devices are insanely low! I even bought the same Black Gameboy you showcased for my Mom! ( Hers broke some years back ) I also sent her the Sega Mega leather case with the Gameboy inside! (That Sega Mega case makes great gift wrapping lol) lastly I got my wife and I matching Casio watches that were some kind of limited gold edition watches! I can go on and on for hours but for anyone watching, please go and bring whoever you can to share the experience with! Also, if you don't climb Mt. Fuji... you bound to come back to Japan ( At least that's a US Navy saying!)
Oh happy days, kid in a toy store. Enough videos in the pipeline to keep you busy and us entertained for months ;) thanks Sendico for making this all happen. Best items by far are the Walkman and the VCR ;)
Nice to see all the great stuff you bought! One thing I do know, is that the Game Boy Advance adapter supports The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords for GameCube. Parts of the game were played on the GBA if you had it hooked up. Very cool. Game Boy Camera brought back memories for me as well.
I know you said "I don't think many other people are going to find that cool" about the microfiber cloth, well I assure you all of us here think all of this is cool and we all love your reactions of excitement for simple things like a microfiber cloth with the DS logo on it. I really hope we get to see that Pokemon VCR repair and you showing those Sonic VHS on that
The GBA to GC link cable allowed you to use the GBA as a controller for Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles; both would show player specific information on the GBAs screen. I'm sure there were some other games that worked with it, but those were the major ones.
Another game with good GBA link support is Rayman 3, which has this minigame where one player on the TV is trying to get through a race track of sorts that's being constructed in real time by a GBA player. It's a lot of fun with a friend, and there's also a 2v2 version of that minigame (good luck unlocking it though)
6:10 Great material for a video! Pokémon Colosseum and XD used it for both trading and a battle mode with Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Firered and Leafgreen. Zelda Four Swords Adventures allowed to use up to 4 GBAs to have gameplay on both the TV and GBA screen, years before the WiiU was a thing! =D Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is a (quite expensive) fan favourite with GBA connectivity as well!
I too am looking forward to the unboxing mystery Game Boy games video. I vaguely remember seeing one of your previous Japan videos where you got these games and for the longest time have been super curious about them.
Just returned from 3 years in Japan. Aw man it was such a good time. Saw a lot and went everywhere but sometimes there was nothing better than finding a hard off store during them travels 😩😩😩
Oh man, AC e+ is really neat-- has some extra stuff that isn't in the worldwide GC version! Really unique and cool! Great video as always, love seeing the spoils!
Don't forget you can still buy things as seen in this video directly from Japan via services like Sendico. They actually sponsored his Japan visit by paying for his stay and travel
When you mentioned the VHS tape I was expecting a normal one, but then you blew me away that it’s _not_ ordinary! I really like the Sonic tapes. It reminds me of the 90s when my older brothers owned these kinds of treasures! Lovely haul you have for sure!
I saw a quick glance of those Sonic promo VHS tapes in the Japan vlogs and I was praying you picked them up, glad you did. That Sonic 3 one is a cool watch even if you don't know Japanese.
that can camera instantly became my favorite item NGL. i also love that VHS player too! This makes me really want to go to japan for a shopping excursion, purely for video game and tech goodies.
I always wanted to take a vacation in Japan, however seeing your videos it seems like it'd turn into a retail therapy trip. Seriously need to bring a solid thousand just to grow my crippling addiction for retro video games and tech.
Probably the belts have gone gummy. Techmoan has some good repair videos of VHS players. And yes. That thing with a CRT and a pikachu y4ellow N64? As a 90's teen? Certified Fresh.
Absolutely LOVED your Japan travel series (started checking out Sendico immediately)... but please add this final haul video to the end of your playlist! Excellent work, Elliott... I really hope you get to do another travel series... maybe in a different country?!
Love that DMG pocket, I got one from sendico and when it came it was in a mint condition box and had never been used once, with a completely mint screen too! It was a great buy
that kirby Game is called "Coro Coro Kirby" aka "Kirby's Tilt n Tumble" comes in a special cartridge to allow the use of motion controls. If played on a gameboy player you have to tilt the entire gamecube.
Was so excited to see this video after watching the blog. But omg a Pokémon VHS player? Can’t wait for the fix it video! I really want to go to Japan now and buy some cheap consoles lol
The card holder holds something like a building door pass, or car park pass. They are basically a disk system game floppy disk shell, and you put the card into it. I have those, I use one for my work building swipe card pass. This was released a couple of years ago on the Nintendo ship Japan only.
I think it would be helpful to know how you got all of that stuff back, so that people going there in the future can be prepared. The box had Sendico branding on it which I assume how they got shipped, but what about the process to get the stuff you bought from the stores to their warehouse?
Yeah, the cardholder is for the trains. Suica and pasmo are for Tokyo, and Icoca is for the Osaka area, although they all work everywhere; it's just more about which is available where.
7:25 That Kirby game have a gyroscope Inside the cartridge! You can controll Kirby with tilt the gameboy. I know today every phone have gyro but back in those thay that a fantastic new way for controls.
Bro I’m just catching up on your videos and I cannot believe this haul. I need to be in Japan asap. I loved the gold steering wheel and I cannot wait to see that play it loud polished up. My favourites could easily be that Pokémon centre Gameboy, the VHS player, and that that sick little Sony microphone
I had one of those GBA cables for the GameCube. I had it to use the GBA for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles in multiplayer mode. It had your GBA show a mini map on the screen as well as to be the controller, it was awesome. I’m not sure what other games it worked for as crystal Chronicles is the only game I used it for.
The Japanese DMG Game boy pocket I didn’t know they had one of those soon as I saw it I had to go to eBay and find me one and I watched all the Japanese blogs. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I’ll probably never get back into Japan, so I enjoyed watching what you did. It was really cool. I enjoyed seeing all the stuff you got.
The GBA to GC link cable did wonders for Super Mario Advance 4: SMB 3 if you had the E-Reader and the SMB 3 E-Reader cards. At one point in my life, I had every single E-Reader card. I kept them in a 3-ring binder because the cards fit perfectly in the pouch sheets that are used for baseball trading cards. When you have Super Mario Advance 4 plugged into your GameCube via the GB Player, the GBA connected via the link cable, and the E-Reader connected to the GBA, you can do some wild things with the game. Such as unlocking new areas, quickly adding extra lives, and giving you Kribo's Shoe at any time. These extra features are dependent on which E-Reader card you swiped.
12:59 The darker DS Lite is Enamel Blue and the other is Cobalt and Black @15:22 Felicia Blue. I have all 4 of the colors from this PSP 2000 series and two of the metallic PSP 3000 seris which I am making a wall shelf and displaying them all. Should look AWESOME!
I love the pingu ps controller! Noot noot! Also about the megadrive bag, they released a similar PS1 bag aswell. These magazines with a bag are called E-mook(s), you have them for all kinds of brands. Fashion and food brands, you name it.
I went to Japan just after you and I bought one of the gameboys you showed on camera lol. I fixed it up and modded it because the screen wasn't in great condition.
Oh hell yes, I've been waiting for this haul for _months._ You found/showcased some really legit stuff in your travel vlogs, time to see what you splurged on!
Thank you again Elliot for this video. I am looking forward to the unboxing videos of the other cool stuff and also the restoration vids of the Gameboys you have🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
You looked like a kid at Christmas as you were unwrapping each item. Also, I wonder how many miles/kilometers of bubble wrap Sindeco goes through a year. My favorite item is the Pokemon GB Pocket which was the Pokemon Store exclusive.
As I recall, the GBA link cable lets you use Tingle like a GPS on the map in Zelda: Wind Waker, and there was a sort of mini-game where he helped you find things (maybe misremembering?)
My favorite piece is the Pokemon Center game system in the pink case. I saw them when I was little in an old store ad. You were able to get either Pokemon Gold or Pokemon Silver. I was saving up for it, but by the time I had the money to buy it, they were all sold out in 2 stores. So major regret on not being able to buy it.
You can, I have two Japan PSPS, both are in English. You still get the "close game" screen in Japanese. The games are not region locked though the UMD movies are.
Im sure iv seen something similar to that can camera before. But it was a portable cassette player along the same lines as a walkman. Very kitch but also comfortably nostalgic at the same time
This video right here reignited my drive to vacation in Japan in 2024. Awesome stuff, man!
Its so cool have fun ! 😮
Same! Where can we sign up for the group discount? 😅
Did you end up going to Japan?
Love that you kept pulling stuff out and saying, “Why have I bought that!”😂😂😂
Me when I order stuff from Sendico
Bro will buy anything from Japan i reckon lol.
Believe me, we questioned it at the time 🤣
RF is exactly the opposite of Tito : "I regret not buying that so and so" 😂
I love how all youtubers eventually have to go to japan, like its a part of their checklist!
I mean, it's the cradle of videogames, of course it makes sense to go there if you're a gaming-related content creator.
Isn’t it on everybody’s checklist though?
@@chaysecrossley.not really

So much cool stuff! The Toys'R'us GBA is so beautiful but the Pokémon VHS Player is by far my favourite one.
I loved all the game stuff, but that Sony Walkman was a beauty! I love collecting both games and walkmans, so watching all these videos was a absolute joy. Thank you for making these vlogs 😄
Ahh that pokemon vhs player looks so cool, never seen that before! The walkman looks soooo retro haha, love it. Nice pickups mate.

I have always wanted to go to Japan, not just for the gameboys but for the sightseeing
Same, just not the cities at all. never did like them.
Yeah, you can see a lot of really pretty landscapes on the countryside@@shaungreer3350

The GBA link cable was used with Legend of Zelda Four Swords. When you and your friends went into a cave, your party would show up on the GBA! It is also how you went to Cap’n’s island when playing the first Animal Crossing!

Another wonderful morning coffee to go with a classic retro future video. Love it!

I remember my older sister bought me that PSP Value Pack and totally surprised me on Christmas. How I wish I still had it.
I'm just currently uploading my first video of my haul too!! It's like we're fully aligned Elliot!!!
LOVE that pokemon center GBC!! Incredible!
I literally just watched your video too 🤣

Loved your Japan series!
You've helped me grow my love for retro tech, gameboys, and repairing my own stuff. Thanks Elliot!
Great haul! The Walkman is definitely my favorite one, a timeless piece of a time that doesn't come back.
Oh man, AC e+ is really neat-- has some extra stuff that isn't in the worldwide GC version! Really unique and cool! Great video as always, love seeing the spoils!

I had the charging dock imported when I got the n3ds XL and I still use it. Nice to see they're still around.

That pokemon VHS player just looks awesome also that Sony Walkman, incredible colours!
