Over 40 plus years I have been waiting for this type of masterpiece, and it's FINALLY here...I would not have guess in a million years that what I have been waiting for would be created by a beautiful 17 year old musical prodigy. Britt, you will have to be patient because Angelina and her team at Republic Records are strategically "dripping" out Angelina's new music for now, IMO, to build up curiosity and word-of-mouth about this remarkable new voice with her own style. So a single record announcing "I am here", then a few weeks later her EP ("that first record was no fluke") and a couple months later an album ("we finally are starting to understand what a phenomenon she is!") and a few months later a world tour. To paraphrase a star from a bygone era, "Fasten your seat belts. We're in for a bumpy ride!"
Her approach to writing has always been on an adult level. You need only go back to her pre-teen years when her mom made her change lyrics that she felt weren't appropriate for a young girl in Amy Winehouse songs. She would do this reconstruction seamlessly, forming it into adult themes that were acceptable to her mom Sara, and showed talent far beyond her years. A perfect example of this is Amy's song 'Rehab'. You listen to Angelina's version which talks about not wanting to go to school instead of Amy's lyrics dealing with not wanting to go to rehab, all of which was done by Angelina on her own. What an amazing song! It i so well constructed. The musical themes are never allowed to stay too long but are whisked off into another theme before you can quite get your fill of it. The harmonies are delicious and the rhythm! Even my poor 74-year-old feet were dancing. And that is not even to mention the lyrics. Britt, you will have to be patient because Angelina and her team at Republic Records are strategically "dripping" out Angelina's new music for now, IMO, to build up curiosity and word-of-mouth about this remarkable new voice with her own style. So a single record announcing "I am here", then a few weeks later her EP ("that first record was no fluke") and a couple months later an album ("we finally are starting to understand what a phenomenon she is!") and a few months later a world tour.
To paraphrase a star from a bygone era, "Fasten your seat belts. We're in for a bumpy ride!"

go back to her pre-teen years when her mom made her change lyrics that
she felt weren't appropriate for a young girl in Amy Winehouse songs. She
would do this reconstruction seamlessly, forming it into adult themes that
were acceptable to her mom Sara, and showed talent far beyond her years.
A perfect example of this is Amy's song 'Rehab'. You listen to Angelina's
version which talks about not wanting to go to school instead of Amy's
lyrics dealing with not wanting to go to rehab, all of which was done by
Angelina on her own. She functions on a genius level, whether it's writing,
arranging, or singing. With regard to this song, it is way beyond her earlier
writing changes to an other artist's original lyrics, while also including
vocals presenting a host of inflections that run the gamut with regard to
overall musicality. In essence, she weaves a vocal tapestry that contains
so many different layers, the listener is automatically mesmerized. Billie
Holiday was adept at doing this, and we already know that Angelina has

AJ is half Swedish, Quarter Iranian { Persian } and Quarter Japanese. They have not disclosed any details. AJ is Norwegian born and brought up in Oslo, so i guess its there business.... all i know is that she has been brought up to be a kind ,caring girl with a Wonderful Talent which they have supported though her whole life.... we are all curious but we have to just settle for enjoying her Wonderful Singing and thats good enough for me lol

What an amazing song! It i so well constructed. The musical themes are never allowed to stay too long but are whisked off into another theme before you can quite get your fill of it. The harmonies are delicious and the rhythm! Even my poor 74-year-old feet were dancing. And that is not even to mention the lyrics. I think the fact she had an older women in her car that she kissed when she got I car and it could have been her grandmother and I love her so even though she is not married she still knows what true love is. She killed it, and this song is well written, hook after hook after hook!! Like all of her songs I wish it was a little bit longer. This would also be a great torchy ballad slowed down but I really like this as they recorded it.
