The real problem is the "20k ish" initial price tag ballooning to near "40k" in such a short time. Labor costs in Mexico must be pricey.
The 20k ish is the xl the new xl is nowhere near even 30k. my loaded 23 lariat was just under 36k if you don’t know the facts keep your false opinions to yourself. The lariat in 22 was in the mid 30’s loaded. So while they have gone up not doubled like your trying to infer

Yeap I confirm this. They changed my 1) cluster display, 2) my gear shift AWD control, 3) upgrade software for lock and unlock doors, and 4) finally side airbags. But I am supper happy with my Ford Maverick Lariat AWD 2022. 2.0lt Ecoboost is a beast! 250hp are amazing for this small truck.
Many folks waited over a year for their mavericks.

I have a 2023 with no recalls no problems. I have been a ASE Certified Master Technician for over 30 years. If they were that DANGEROUS. You would here about it on the news. How many people have seen news reports on actual fires. God forbid a blinker doesn't work especially in Florida where most of the damn people don't know what a blinker is for. With that being said these stories are a way for the person making the video to make money on You tube. So don't believe everything you here. Nothing you hear on the internet could be wrong.
Same here. Not one single problem here with my 22' Maverick Lariat AWD. It's been the best vehicle I've ever owned. I always wanted a truck, but even the used ones were too expensive. I traded in my 17' Focus is mostly why the Lariat was just barely affordable.
Anyway, I did my research and found these small turbo engines need more frequent oil changes and I did my first one myself at 1,200 miles. The dealer did the first but got mud on the door sill. So I went to an NTB but they also got sloppy, so now I'm doing my own oil changes. Overall, 24,467 trouble free miles. My only trouble was sloppy technicians.
