Love my Maverick Lariat Hybrid!

I hesitate because it's the same style since 2017. So nobody knows that you just spent 45k on a brand new truck since it looks 8 years old. I also hate the push button shifter. I have rented them and don't care for it, but uh, I don't mind the rotary knobs that are in quite a few Chrysler and Ford vehicles.

I have never had one Ford door latch fail, EVER. Working out of the truck going in and out thousands of times. My sister bought a GMC and door latches, hinges, you name it. Every kind of latch broke

I had a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. It was an electrical nightmare. I wind up trading it in for a 2024 bronco wildtrak. I’m 20,000 miles in my bronco no issues I got to say it rides super smooth for an off-road vehicle

I have a 21 Ranger XLT getting ready to turn 70,000 miles. I am not impressed with the transmission but I have no real complaints about anything. It is easy to drive and park and I have had good reliability with it. Maybe it was built on a Wednesday, but I really can't complain.

My 85 year old dad always said: I never owned a Ford truck cause since I stood on 2 feet, Ford was always known for quantity NOT quality. Till today, I never owned one, not to say that others don't have issues, but Ford's is very typical.

If you think the Maverick was intended to be an F150 replacement, you’re way off base. It was intended to give the public a low-cost option to the F150 and Ranger. There are plenty of people who want the utility of a truck without spending $40,000+ to get one. Also, the hybrid was intended to allow someone who wanted the utility of a truck, but wouldn’t be towing, to get good gas mileage around town.

Nobody who tows or needs bomb through the bush is buying a ridgeline. Cool. You know who is. Smart, practical people who commute. Shop at Costco and have to drive the garbage to a transfer station and don't want it in the cabin. I will get a small box trailer for firewood season soon because it is easy to max out the payload, so why not put some of it behind me. But i need to do that 2 to 3 weekends a year. Not worth the big truck cost the rest of the time. Plus the little trunk works great for keeping my saw safe. Name one other truck with a real lockable trunk? The ridgline is not a Tacoma. It is more like a Maverick or a Santa cruze, or even the subaru baja.

Ordered my XL hybrid maverick in 2021. $19995 with 1500 delivery fee. Insane. Now have 23,000 miles .. As far as power - - 0 to 60 in 7.7 seconds and quarter mile in 15.7 seconds !!! Underpowered ??? No it’s not. These are better figures than a 350 v8 Chevy Camaro muscle car had in 1977 . lol. In sport mode it’s extremely zippy. I usually just cruise in eco mode and depending on many factors average anywhere between 30 and 56 mpg. Mileage is better in summer ( battery efficiency and electric AC ) winter takes a toll with the heater requiring the engine to run for heat . And around town is much better mileage also bc the battery does a lot of low speed power . Highway generally uses more gasoline motor. All in all it’s great and handles like a small sports car . Honestly, there’s not much not to like

How many people that bought a Ridgeline plan to take it on the Rubicon trail? No one buying this is planning on going real off roading. Trail riding? Sure. I bought my Ridgeline to haul plywood and lumber from the mill and it does just fine. I pull a "small" camper trailer, and it is fine. Before buying a truck, you need to define what you want to do with it and then make sure the truck can do it. I would never expect to pull a 30' travel trailer. They need to do is to get rid of the volume control on the radio. My original 2017 does not have a volume knob and I have never had a problem. I use the controls on the steering wheel. I'm assuming that the volume knobs is just electronic switch anyway and not a real volume knob from 10 years ago. I use Android Auto with the AA Wireless adapter, and it works perfect. I never use the built-in version on those screens. Make sure that Honda does not take away the buttons for climate control and better yet, bring back old school mechanical switches. Also, put a MANUAL transmission in it.
