I realize now that I might have to just pick the song one string at a time instead of the chords. I struggle with both C and D chords but I'm perfectly fine with Em and G. This tutorial was very helpful. I have two books I am starting to read that both have this listed as the first song with several keys and while both said that the song with 3/4, neither said it was "Short-Long". So they show the two strings like you do and I am completely lost because I couldn't figure out how you get 3 beats out of just two string in a measure. So thank you very much.

It's basically his classic, "Old Red", except maybe 4BPM slower, in the key of C (not G), and has different lyrics. For the LIFE of me, I can NOT CRAM the F Maj chord I want, into the 1st Fret of my Grandmom's old ES125. (No, that ISN'T a typo!). That fret is the width of 2 of my fingers. HOW in God's Name do I DO this...?
