Does someone know movie name which start like Americans find group of Russians spying them and they killed them all and one of them was a son of some important Russian woman and then she send some Asian guy. I think that mark Harmon is in that movie
No, no, no......Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is much higher than 6. I think you have seriously underrated it. Munich is a good film but Spielberg lays his messages on with a trowel. There is no subtlety in his direction.
Another great list from you guys. Lives of Other is a fantastic movie and the good choice for number one. I think Ronin was very underrated movie. Amazing movie for post coldwar era and one of my best.
I got in a discussion about who was better Jason Borne or James Bond. He picked Bond and I picked Borne. He asked me why and I told him this: Bond has (in the past) relied on fancy futuristic gizmos which makes his movies only suitable for Saturday morning cartoons (Danial Craic excluded), whine Borne uses nothing but skill, and intelligence.
tinker tailor soldier spy was amazing. but ya prolly have to watch it twice to get it. they didnt make the heriarchy of the spies very easy to pick up on
"Infernal Affairs" is one of my favourite spy movie - not even mentioned as honorable. Though Scorcese remake was not bad at all and well-known all over the world.
The good shepherd should be on the list...tinker tailor and Munich are amazing and inception is pretty good as well. Honourable mention: man from uncle
We have the same top 2. Ive always loved all of the Bond films but I just recently got into Kingsman and I would say it’s either equal, or better than Bond.
@@AAMPictures When I made the original comment, I was really just getting into Kingsman and now looking back, I couldn’t disagree with myself more. Honestly don’t know what I was thinking when I said Kingsman is better than Bond. Bond is in every way the best spy franchise (except for consistent releases). Anyway that being said Kingsman is still fun like you said but lacks the quality that you’ll find in any Bond film.
I have seen most of the top mentioned movies. Yes, they are good enough to be placed s the best movies.. Thank you very much for your postings..........
Where is Syriana? One of the best spy films EVER!!! A true geopolitical thriller examining by way of indictment, the corrupt influence of defense and energy industry lobbyists on foreign policy and intel activities. Veteran operative George Clooney and smart naive Matt Damon characters were NAILED. True Lies was big studio blockbuster dumb action movie.
A spy, enters into the enemy domain, blends and live among them and passes information over a period of time. So, Argo looks like, it fits more in the category of 'Rescue Mission'. Munich too looks like a political revenge or retaliation kind movie. No doubt, they are great movies. This is my opinion, please ignore if they are not appropriate.
Because "The Lives of Others" is No.1! A film that does without (the typical) action scenes, without a lot of noise, without an endless budget (á la Hollywood) and yet creates so much more tension than most films in this genre, where wild chases, explosions, shootouts, etc. should create a certain tension... Getting that done is a certain art...
Argo Zero Dark Thirty 13 hours in Benghazi Jack Ryan (Tom Clancy) Should be the next milestone for spy movies. Not some cliche dramas like Bond 007, Citadel, or Quantico
Le Carre's books are excellent. The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, The Tailor of Panama, The Constant Gardner and Tinker, Tailor Soldier, Spy are all books that should be read.
There is simply No Better Spy story writer than John Le Carre ... I've read his novels over and over again and this is why I hated the American movie version of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy ... primarily how George Smiley was portrayed , any fan of John Le Carre knows that Smiley would rather be shot dead than go swimming outdoors like the American version showed him doing ... and it was completely outside of Smiley's personality to go to a news years party because George Smiley despised things like that in the novels .... then to really ruin that wonderful novel ...the writer/director threw in that completely unnecessary and out of character scene where Boris beats up Irina after finding out she was hanging out with the British agent Ricki Tarr ... I'm OK with literary license and I know this movie was made for a dumb American audience who would get bored by John Le Carre's sublime subtlety , but portraying George in ways that never appear in John Le Carre Novels and chucking in scenes that are not at all how they were portrayed in the Novels in simply literary Malfeasance ... In case you don't know ... The BBC did a wonderful mini-series of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Smiley's People with Alec Guinness playing George Smiley ...it followed the Le Carre Novels perfectly and Alec Guinness was sublime as George Smiley .

Jason bourne #1
Bourne supremacy
Bourne identity
Bourne ultimatum

Jason Bourne is the best by far
Yea Bourne is so badass

"Infernal Affairs" is one of my favourite spy movie - not even mentioned as honorable. Though Scorcese remake was not bad at all and well-known all over the world.
Its omission is based on it not generally being considered a spy film.
Do you mean: Internal Affairs?
"Life of Others" haunts you forever and I think TTSS should have been higher.
There were many stories about spies. My personal favorite was Jacob and Penuel.
I thought "Salt" deserved to make it, female spy movie.
Thanks!
