They perform the jobs they are trained for.

Why does the dog have an Army Special Forces patch on his harness? Deployment patch? Was he attached to an SF unit?
So basically, in the air force, sf means security forces
it means this doggy was attached to an army unit on deployment, most likely
Do they sleep in kennels or do they go home with a handler?
They stay in the kennels normally.
