Nissan Kicks Volume Knob Issue (May apply to other Nissan Vehicles)

2018 Nissan Kicks has an issue with the Volume Knob, where if you use the volume knob on the stereo it would bounce all over the place from increasing/decreasing the volume by any ampunt at random. (Note: The Volume controls on the steering wheel work just fine). I just dealt with the problem for a few years since the Dealership I dealt with left me a very sour taste...
I saw a video in a forums about a similar issue but was on a Nissan Altima, so I decided to try it an it worked!
P.S. inside the Volume Knob there is a Blacl cloth ring that can be removed if you really want to get the WD-40 in there good, I just didn't remove it but did dry it a bit after the video.

My car also has this issue, this is something Nissan should address because it seems it was an issue with all 2018, 2019 models…

I totally agree! I have a sour taste from the Nissan Brand, this was my first Nissan and not even thinking of buying another Nissan in the future. (This wasn't the only issue I faced with this car and the dealership).

I had the same issue, all I did was turn the car off, make sure the radio is off, and just spin the knob one direction fast about 60 turns (I just used my hand, got it done in less than 20 seconds) then spin it the other direction really quick. Works now, time will tell. I believe it's probably dust or particles and spinning it or using wd-40 rinses that out from the encoder
