Just want to clarify: the Quiet on Set documentary focused on the stars that worked on Dan Schneider's shows on Nick. As of so far, the stars of the other Nick shows haven't had that same experience.
@phillinsogood Unfortunately, the shows that weren't from Dan (by the late 2000s-early 2010s) would get mistreated by the network & put on the backburner. I guess due to favoritism.
@@GameLover-pz5zc they definitely played favoritism towards his shows. I saw that Taina was cancelled because it was too expensive to produce which I think is BS. I think they got rid of it because they didn’t want it to compete with The Amanda Show.
@phillinsogood Actually, "Taina" was canceled because of BTS issues. The Nick execs were trying to violate the child labor laws with the show's star, Christina Vidal and she wasn't having it. To make things worse, she signed a record deal with MCA records (a company outside of Nick), so they canceled her show after that. We all know about what's been happening to Nickelodeon over the years, because of that documentary "Quiet on Set." Since most tv producers and animators, even the writers including Dan Schneider should've take some time to realize they're only making things worst, which is the main cause of this downfall, and for those you think The Loud House actually saved this channel, or being popular after SpongeBob, they lied HARD, I mean who wants to see a show that's literally a mad house, and why stereotypes which are demeaning towards Lincoln's sisters? Why can't things go back to normal, when Nick was a beloved kids TV channel, well they should at least get rid of terrible episodes/seasons involving bad writing, along with bad shows and trashy sitcoms.
Good shows on Nick: the Secret World of Alex Mack, Kenan & Kel, All That (the first 7 seasons), Tiny Toon Adventures, Clarissa, Hey Arnold, the Angry Beavers, Catdog, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Aaah...Real Monsters, Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Space Cases, Cousin Skeeter, Mystery files of Shelby Woo, Journey of Allen Strange, Wild Thornberrys, 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd, The Brothers Garcia, Caitlin's Way, As Told By Ginger, Taina, Slime Time Live, Figure It Out, Fairly Oddparents, Danny Phantom, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Romeo, Ned's Declassified, Just Jordan, True Jackson VP, Big Time Rush, iCarly, Victorious, How To Rock, Just Jordan, House of Anubis, Life With Boys Bad shows: The Thundermans, The Haunted Hathaways, Henry Danger (season 1), Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Sanjay & Craig, Breadwinners, Fanboy & Chum Chum, Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Game Shakers, Mr. Meaty, Sam & Cat, FRED: the Show, Marvin Marvin

Imma be honest here, after Dan Schneider left the network, the content just got worse. I absolutely hate him but he did make good entertainment if we ignore the innuendos and what was going on behind the scenes
I grew up with 2012-2016 Nickelodeon and I remember watching victorious after school and the little Nickelodeon soap operas were my favorite. They dished them shows out every weekday at 8 or 9 before Nick at night. House of Anubis, every witch way, etc. and they had degrassi on teennick too. It’s sad how far Nick has fallen as a whole. Same with how bare bones NickToons and teennick is too. They also cancelled power rangers which I lived for as a kid too.
I agree. I feel like Nickelodeon really got bad around 2016. It’s just so different from what it was back in the day lol. It’s also hard to compete with social media.
I think we _ALL_ know what messed up Nick, along with every other kids channel, or anything in modern media, fun---And it rhymes with "Shmapitalism". Or in a Mr. Krabs quote: "Hello, I like money!" On a lighter note: The block name for Nick's games shows ("Nick Gas"), reminded me of "Gas Gas Gaaaas!11!!!!!11!111" (Initial D reference!)
Oh, how the mighty have fallen and frankly, it’s well-deserved. Unless they come up with some good long term goals and better leadership, they’re doomed forever.
My favorite part of the shows on Nickelodeon in the 90s was all the diversity there was. So many different actors and shows all about different people and ways of life.
The doc did not start the downfall😂. Nickelodeon hasn't been popular since the days of Big Time Rush, iCarly and Victorious. I knew shit was hitting the fan when they premiered Marvin Marvin in 2013😂😂😂. Nickelodeon hasn't been relevant in pop culture since the early 2010s (2010-2012)
I honestly feel bad for the 2000's Nick fans, you don't know just how great Nickelodeon in the 90s (and even the 80s too) really was. It wasn't just the shows, it was the experience too. The people behind the scenes back then wanted to give the network a "kids clubhouse where kids can be kids" identity to it. Look up the name Geraldine Laybourne (the president of Nickelodeon from 1984-1996) and the documentary The Orange Years and you'll see how it all came together.

Please do more research on your next videos.
@phillinsogood that you did and it was a great job. On the latter half of the 90s. Just not the first half. One of the reason nickelodeon is called nickelodeon is because of the old nickel films from a long time ago. Also alot of the shows recorded at nickelodeon were from the 90s. Also there were alot of sweepstacks. Like nick or treat. Nickelodeon super toy run. Earth day nickelodeon all star challenge. One of the biggest moments in nick history was also nicks birthday in 1999. They brought back a ton of the old shows for a few days. One big part of the network was nick at nite as well. Also in the 90s they aird black and white shows like flipper and Dennis the menace. Thank you for the video I feel like I just visited a time capsule. Lol Segway.
I didn’t know that was failing I meant that Doris is lol
I think we _ALL_ know what messed up Nick, along with every other kids channel, or anything in modern media, fun---And it rhymes with "Shmapitalism". Or in a Mr. Krabs quote: "Hello, I like money!"
On a lighter note: The block name for Nick's games shows ("Nick Gas"), reminded me of "Gas Gas Gaaaas!11!!!!!11!111" (Initial D reference!)
Oh yes I forgot about Nick Gas! Thanks for the throwback. Yea Nickelodeon feels very corporate compared to what it was like in the 00’s & 90’s
Oh, how the mighty have fallen and frankly, it’s well-deserved. Unless they come up with some good long term goals and better leadership, they’re doomed forever.
Yes exactly their reputation has been ruined unfortunately. Unless the leadership and CEO's step down, not much will change.
I'm glad you're in team indie animation, Magnet.
My favorite current nick shows are monster high young Dylan also cant wait 4 the tails of turtles show
Monster high is my favorite nickelodeon show right now ❤❤
The live-action movies are great, especially the sequel
@@mayflower7811 True but I’m talking about the animated series
@@jaykay47music Okay
My favorite part of the shows on Nickelodeon in the 90s was all the diversity there was. So many different actors and shows all about different people and ways of life.
I agree friend. I feel like there was just an optimistic view on life in the 90’s. Idk how to explain it
The doc did not start the downfall😂.
Oh yes I love documentaries. I’ll definitely check it out 😊
As a kid during the 00’s I saw the network change over the years.
Favorite Nickelodeon Cartoon Invader Zim
Favorite Nick at Nite Acquisition George Lopez (2007-2020)
Favorite Nickelodeon Crush Honey Nielsen (Hi Honey I'm Home)
Least Favorite Nick Decision Neo Saban Power Rangers (my favorite '90s franchise but still was pretty bad even Dino Charge)
Yes invader zim is so underrated. George Lopez was a really good sitcom
I wonder if you’re gonna talk about Sambo and chum chum fanboy
They recently Axed That girl Lay Lay after 3 years
My favorite Nicktoon was Back at the barnyard
My favorite Nick Jr show was Ni Hao Kal-lan
My favorite Nick show was SpongeBob
Whaaat? Why that’s sad to hear. Oh wow I completely forgot about Ni Hao Kalan & Back at the Barnyard you threw it back lol
I liked Doug, he inspired me to draw my own comics like the one in this profile picture!
I think my least favorite was Catdog because they’re conjoined and I hated how the Greasers always wanted to pound them.
Yea Doug is a show that I would love to rewatch as an adult. I agree I also didn’t like cat dog it was a bizzare show concept
In my opinion nick gave up on some shows to fast i mean remember show like the fred show and true Jackson vp and bucket and Skinner and cartoons like havey beaks back at the barnyard planet sheen tuff puppy mr meaty and more got 1 if lucky 2 season
Most Likely if it wasn't SpongeBob or one of Dan's shows, most became overlooked and forgotten
You totally bypassed the begining of nickelodeon and how the out sourced a bunch of forgen cartoons. Had shows like Mr wizards world. And all that was a justt rip off of a show that aird on nickelodeon called you can't do that on television which had a ton if skits on. This is the show that started the green slime. Please do more research on your next videos.
Yes I skipped a lot and focused on what was going on in the 90's.
Lol Segway. In 1992 nickelodeon did a time capsule and it was a very big event for them.
@@SPIKE169 Yes no problem I had a lot of fun making this video. There were so many shows that I forgot about over the years.
Yess I've heard of the time capsule event.
I have a crush on Ciara Hanna
To me nick's downfall started when Invader Zim was canceled halfway, the way the network is going now, it needs another chance. Since it hardly had a chance and it had so many episodes planed. I don't get why nick gave rugrats another chance even though it had a full run.
Yep they focused on the shows that were bringing more views and revenue.
@@phillinsogood Yes, but Zim was different, he wasn't a family show unlike what's airing now, it was about an alien. Plus he had better characters.
Every time nick tried another another alien show it didn't last long, you know about the other alien shows nick tried?
@@Zim999 ooooh good point. Yea I remember liking Invader Zim but I also remember it barely being on TV. Same with Avatar & Danny Phantom. Great shows but overlooked
@@phillinsogood I agree, until they give Invader Zim another chance I would rather watch paint dry. Nick is soooo limited today.
90s Nickelodeon and Disney is overrated
Oh no I’m curious to know your thoughts? 👀
i like 90s nick but I definitely agree with you on Disney
@@jessicology2008Disney is really overrated. I hate him even more than Nick but at least they didn’t have any bad working environments like Nick. 1991-2007 were to be Nick at its peak. It was downhill from there.
The rise e fall cartoon network
Ooooh what are some talking points? Idk if Cartoon Network is dead I’ve always felt like they were doing their own thing and not apart of the Disney VS Nick debate. I could be wrong
The only Nickelodeon Shows I loved was: iCarly, Henry Danger, Sam & Cat, Bubble Guppies, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Drake & Josh, The Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of awesomeness, Go! Diego! Go!, VICTORiOUS, Kenan & Kel, Game Shakers (my opinion), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Casagrandes, Dora The Explorer, Team Umizoomi, Paw Patrol, Zoey 101, That Girl Lay Lay, The Thundermans, Knight Squad, and Blues Clues.
But to be honest, before I watched all Nickelodeon shows: I Started off with NickJr. before watching all Nick shows.
Nice looks like you’ve watched a good amount of shows from the 90’s to now! What was your favorite Nick JR show growing up?
@@phillinsogood Bubble Guppies, Go! Diego! Go!, Dora: The Explorer + and friends into the city, Team Umizoomi, Blaze: and the Monster Machines, Wallykazam, Paw Patrol, and Blues Clues. That’s the only shows I watched on NickJr.
I was born in the 2000s
Can wait for power rangers reboot and cartoon 2025
Ive sampled nickelodeon to she how much its fallen apart, its as equally worse than disney channel.
I agree. I’m sure Disney Channel has it’s issues but they presented better quality shows with great life lessons
@phillinsogood most of those they air from the disney plus library and they barely air any movies which were like everyday
Power rangers forever
I didn’t know that was failing I meant that Doris is lol have a suggestion for Teaneck or something teen nick why would you say that because a dance net basically took older than tonight Dan Schneider
