    Hi, I'm Sarah from Soap School, and today I will take you through a simple no-melt soapmaking method for making your own handmade soap! It's quick and easy, perfect for beginners or people who want to make simple batches of soap without too much fuss.
    All you need are some simple oils or butters, herbs and essential oil if desired.

    Herbal Soap Recipe With Rosemary, Cedarwood & Lime
    150g Coconut oil
    150g Olive oil
    200g Palm oil
    150g Distilled water
    69g Sodium hydroxide (lye)
    1 Teaspoon chromium green oxide pigment mix in oil
    4ml Rosemary essential oil
    4ml Cedarwood essential oil
    2ml Lime essential oil
    5g Dried rosemary leaf

    I love your videos. They are not overly complicated and easy to follow, with easy accessable ingredients. And I love that you make small batches for beginners, so we can afford to try multiple recipes and not spend a fortune, or have a thousand bars of soap collecting around, that you can't use or get rid of. Even family and friends can only have so much lol.

      You are so welcome Tasha! That is exactly why I make them small batches and although I do love to use some other beautiful ingredients, I think it's important that everybody can access and enjoy beautiful handmade skincare, so I am thrilled that you like them

    I use Rosemary EO in a roller bottle mixed with a carrier oil - perfect for when my girls or I are congested. Roll a little on the base of our feet, or along the back. These soaps look great!

    Thanks Sarah for sharing your recipe and I have used dry rosemary in my batter before which turned dark/ugly
    but now after watching your video today I will add the herbs to the outside only. Thanks again.

    Can't believe I have never thought to use rosemary from my spice rack. I love using rosemary and I love using lime but have never put both together. I'm on this as soon as I can. Thank u Sarah X

      It's fun but you do need to use the lye hot

      @@SoapSchoolUK I usually soap at room temperature but I've been toying with the idea of the heat transfer method because I think it gives more time to work with the batter if I want to do intricate details.

      @@SoapSchoolUK Do you feel as though you can get into soaping faster with the heat transfer method? Sometimes I feel like I'm waiting forever for the oils and lye to come to similar temperatures before starting.

      @@tiffanybaskerville3846 Not really, I heat solid fats only and pour liquid oils in once melted so it bring the temp down to almost perfect straight away, so no waiting

    Thank you for a lovely video as usual. It would be brilliant if you could show us a lather test at the end, and also explain which skin it's good for eg especially good for dry skin? Or an everyday soap to have by the sink? Thanks so much.

    The simple soaps are actually my favorite to make. Have you ever tried spirulina powder for the green. It's such a wonderful color and leaves little specks of nature behind. It is always so good to hear your voice. I hope you are well. Sending a huge hug.

    Which skin type is this type used for? Is it for oily skin because the cleaning is high and the moisturizing is little? Thank you for your beautiful videos

      Coconut is only at 30% so not very high on cleansing

    Hi Sarah, assuming you sprayed Isopropyl alcohol to burst any bubbles as you have have used individual soap mold, am I right?. My friend and I are going to try making this today and thank you for the recipe. ❤ from India.

    I have tried the No melt method multiple times and I just can’t get it to work. Always end up with spots

      What a shame. Do you mix the lye and add it straight away to the fats? Also chopping the fats up really small can help

      @@SoapSchoolUK yes. Maybe it’s because my soaping room is in the basement and rather cool. I don’t know.
