    I love my AVACADO Soaps.. I have done puree, then I've done my own cold pressed Avacodo Oil, Also sun dried AVACADO Seed Tea W/ Avacodo Skin sun dried and then as a Scrub. It's DIVINE.. It's good to see someone using the entire Fruit.. So many people think that if you use PUREE in the soap it will go rancid, but it doesn't because of the Saponification Process, love it TY for Sharing your video, absolutely Divine!!

    Thank you so much for this I thoroughly enjoyed watching your process. I am yet to attempt making my very first batch of soap. I would love to make this recipe as a gift for someone special to me, my question is what is the best way to gift wrap (I favour clear cellophane) & how long should I leave it before I wrap it? Hope I have made sense 🤗

    • @SoapSchoolUK
      @SoapSchoolUK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carol, I am biased but I think you will love soap making. It generally needs 6 to 8 weeks drying before it's wrapped. I like to use a paper band around it or glassine but cellophane works well too. good luck making your first soap!

    Hi Sarah, I love avocado! Thank you for this video :) I have a couple of questions....on the course you mentioned not to go above 30% with coconut, this recipe has a higher content of coconut - I think? Is it to compensate for the avocado? Also what can you substitute palm oil with?

    • @SoapSchoolUK
      @SoapSchoolUK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Sharon, It is ideal to keep the coconut or cleansing element at under 30% but it isn't fixed in stone. When you start using a SAP claculator you can begin to adjust the different parameters to tweak the elements of your soap recipe. You can't just swap the palm for a different oil sadly. As each oil and butter has a different SAP value you would need to build a recipe and recalculate the amount of lye accordingly. You could create a recipe with alternative hardening elements like cocoa butter, shea butter and calculate that new recipe

    Hi Sarah, and thank you for sharing your techniques and expertise. I tried that recipe a while ago using water discouny and it came out as a good soap with a terrible smenn. I think it is due to the avocado oil I used but not sure. Did you use fragrance in your recipe, and if not, how can I avoid that strong chemical smell that persisted even after 1 year? I hesitate to rebatch and perfume it. Thanks in advance for your input and have a nice day
