I have the texa marine and bike kit. Very good coverage. Also their wiring diagrams are so easy to use. Mine was from diesel laptops.
Can you share how much was the kit?
@@jakec1483 My memory was around $2000. Diesel laptops sell refurbished kits for about half what their new kits are.
would you recommend buying from diesel laptops?
Looks like I will be looking and picking one of these up i work on a host of different things diesels big rigs cars trucks on road offroad cats quads and more looks like a great unit commercial and non commercial

Hi, can we do airbag module hard reset with this tool, reinstalling a new software provided and able to install the new software for 2020 Volvos car & BMW’s with bs6 norms
I have TEXA and everything is fine but you have to have a subscription for certain things from the program like database or coding.
This scanner is a great tool, but is all texa tool you can skip their update and they will still continue functioning? can this tool program all heavy duty ecu and their transponder keys? Cost of update is not to bad. Love it

@@RustbeltMechanic Its a good unit. I only have marine software on mine, but I can cover all watercraft from PWCs up to very large diesels with just one laptop, which is a huge plus.

Im interested in the SUPER CAR AUTOMOTIVE applications... I'm wondering if there is any side by side comparation with LEONARDO software.
For code "readings", I have enough diagnostic power to work with, but bi-directional capabilities is the most important feature.
I work everyday with Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, McLaren often I need to activate, program or code new/used modules.. What is the capabilities of this tool? Thank You

My new TXTs came worked one day now does not work does not communicate Bluetooth does not work, cannot connect to modules, had texa support on it said its broken needs repair, and I just got it, emailed the the supplier said send it in yourself, the spare unit is being used, and I have not paid for it yet.

Automotive locksmith here...As for our work with programming keys the CDJ (at least Charger) gateway security started in 2018 but it may be different on your end. I program keys via OBDII through 2017
I started turning down all these scan tools. So many companies have contacted me about doing scan tool reviews.
This is one that I was interested in doing because of the fact that this one tool will have the functionality to connect to everything I can think of from cars, to my side by side, to commercial highway vehicles if need be.

not sure why you keep saying they are new into automotive ? ive been using texa on cars since 2009 and my unit is still running they are the top of the tree because they develop a lot of the OEM software for the manufacturers
Can you get it with a full package to do everything from bikes to excavators all in one or do you need a tablet?
I believe you would need one of their 3 tablets to choose as well as the TXTs unit. I don’t know if the cost to get every software package but that would be something to ask them for sure.
Hi @AgTech 45, Yes you can get the TEXA tool as a full package (Tablet, VCI, Software License). Essentially you would buy the Off-Highway Package, and from there you can add individual software licenses a la carte as needed. Off-Highway will cover everything mainstream in Agricultural, Construction, Crane/Container Trucks, and Standalone Generators and Pumps. As you know most everything in AG/Construction & Bikes is proprietary when considering cabling so depending on what you are working on you may need to order specific cables for diagnosis. If you have any more questions on the tool, let me know!

This thing runs circles around the x431. And yes you can use it without a subscription. You can just pay for updates as you want/need them.
