- A complete playthrough of Presage's 1995 PC edutainment title, Mario's Game Gallery.
It's unfortunate that the only significant difference between these games and the free ones that used to be shoveled onto shareware discs back in the day is the Mario license. Considering the target age group though, it seems odd that there is no difficulty selection, Mario is brutal as an opponent here!
Oh, that, and this was the first time Charles Martinet ever voiced Mario (note the release date being earlier than Super Mario 64!)
The game features Checkers, Go Fish, Dominoes, Backgammon, and Yacht (a Yahtzee! ripoff).
I hope you enjoy the absurd nonstop talking... my favorite has to be the disabled child screaming, "Mario! Go fish!" over and over again.
No cheats were used during the recording of this video.

I remember this! We used to have this game on every computer in my kindergarten class and i would play go fish EVERY time. The “here fishy fishy!” was practically engraved in my head
I loved this on PC as a kid and played it for hours. Checkers was the only game where I didn’t feel like Mario cheated. So many times Mario needed a yacht to win and got it more than I think he should, totally mopped the floor with me at go fish because he went 4 turns in a row because he drew what he needed and backgammon rigged dice.

Something about this game makes me wish that Mario game had more English voice acting in his actual games! This game really fits him PERFECTLY! (Even though it debue Super Mario 64 by a whole year). It's a shame that Mario always stay a silent protagonist, just like Link. Mario may talk every now and then, but not actual lengthy sentences.

Yahtzee is actually a combination/modification of Yacht (an older English game) and Yatzy (Closer to what we know and popular in Scandinavia). I've been on a dice game kick and looked it up for fun earlier. Generala is a similar game from Latin America.

i miss games like this where it was a simple multi minigame collection where the characters talk and its not in a x great games in 1 you buy for the price of a pizza slice, but a funny you vs cpu with humongous entertainment levels of animation and voices to everything.

I played this title, except on a Mac (where it was known as Mario's Game Gallery).
It's been twenty years since then. Back then, I just thought I sucked at beating Mario, but looking at it now, holy shit does he have ESP! The checkers game was close, but he outright stuffed and mounted your ass in Go Fish.
Also, I facepalmed when you didn't score that first full house. Luckily you got the second one later on!

I did all the 3D modelling and cut scene animations for the star trek games - 25th anniversary, judgement rites, and star fleet academy, worked on stonekeep, buzz aldrin's race into space, clay fighter, rock n roll racing, Bard's Tale construction set, omar sharif on bridge,

While the was the first game where Mr Martinet as Mario. The very first time he voiced Mario Overall was a 1992 pinball machine simply titled Super Mario Bros. While his first time voicing Luigi & Wario is the US version of Mario Kart 64.
