Not what I was looking for (adding lyrics to an MP3 song) but have to say, what a terrific presentation. Well done, Mr Dolphin. I'm sure you've helped countless folks in the business world.
oh my GOD ,this the video what about i was looking for and finally i got it and got valuable content ,thanks for sharing this like amazing information .
Hi Matt, How can i add an already recorded voice over or music in my gallery to a text video. I just want the voice as a background music to the text content. I am about opening my TH-cam channel, I think i prefer text video. I keep deleting all my recorded video due to the quality.
If you don't have powerpoint, you'll need some sort of presentation software. A search for "powerpoint alternatives" should give you a few different apps you could use. Google's Gsuite includes a basic tool called Slides: gsuite.google.com/products/slides/ Most of these powerpoint alternatives don't have the capability to record your audio and save everything as a video. So you'll need to use a different tool for that... TH-cam livestreaming and google hangouts will allow you to record a screen share of your presentation.
Matt Dolphin OK. but then how do I add my voice over it after? or will this presentation type program have that option is that what u re saying? thx for the quick reply
the audio would be recorded with google hangouts or youtube livestream. Here's some google hangouts info and a few other options for the audio recording part... www.techrepublic.com/article/three-ways-to-record-and-share-a-presentation-with-nothing-but-a-chromebook/ and here's some info from digitaltrends.com on using youtube's livestream... TH-cam: Sign into your account, go to Upload, and under Live Streaming choose Events. Create an Event, Go Live, and then move over to the livestreaming page (you are now recording audio and video, although you can turn that off immediately if you want). On the left you should see a button that says Screenshare. Select it, and choose a desktop window for recording. Then choose Start Screenshare and Start Broadcast. You’re now recording that window! Select Stop Broadcast whenever you are done, and save your Event as you wish.
hello again... so if i have made all the text images for my vd in paint ( paintbrush ) any ideas of how to make it into a vd ? and adding my voice ! asking this WHILE looking into stuff that you said earlier! bec i love conversation!! :D
Glad it was helpful. Keynote is free for Mac users in the app store. Powerpoint is usually bundled with your windows computer. If that doesn't work it's possible that OpenOffice or LibreOffice will allow you to do this. I haven't checked though. There's a work around for google apps, but it seems like a bit of a hassle: hislide.io/blog/how-to-add-narration-to-google-slides-presentation/
Sorry, I don't have a step-by-step answer for that. But maybe look into Keynote on iphone that has an export as movie function. Or on Android look into installing powerpoint or Google Slides and using the screen record function? support.google.com/android/answer/9075928?hl=en
Hi Matt, This video was very helpful! I made my first educational video through iMovie, but it was a pain to but the text through titles. I'd like to transition to voice with text, but want to know if in Keynote you can add images in the background and color correct them as you can do in iMovie? OR can you make a Keynote video and edit it through iMovie that way?
I sure wish it was some way i could take my click back and folks not get credit for comments. i mean dude. why do you have to go through this whole spill? just give the information. gee whiz!!!
Hey John - Thanks for the feedback. I wanted to give people an example of a video with text and voiceover before going into the details. But, I'll try to shorten things up and get to the point more quickly moving forward. Here's a bonus tip: You can speed up the playing of videos on youtube. Derral Eves has 3 minute long video explaining it at th-cam.com/video/0xe4D_T_WN0/w-d-xo.html You'll probably want to fast forward to 1:29 for the good stuff ;)

Hi Jeffery, On windows, you could use PowerPoint. Everything in this video should work with powerpoint. Let me know if you get stuck.
Please is there an Android app that can do same too??
Sorry :/ Not sure. But let me know if you found anything.

You need to learn to go to your topic directly. time is money. you said so much empty staff before you got to the topic.
