    Sharon, I wanted to express my gratitude for the excellent training you provided. It was incredibly helpful in enabling me to craft my inaugural PowerPoint presentation complete with recorded video for my professional tasks. The enthusiasm my supervisor showed upon viewing it was truly inspiring. Thank you!

    Very impressive presentation/training video. Very specifically demonstrates with very succinct yet informative step-by-step instructions how to effectively use the video and audio functions of PowerPoint. Also, I very much appreciate your offering a link to the types of recording equipment you use. As Siskel and Ebert would have said in one of their movie reviews: Two Thumbs Up!

    Couple of comments and a question. First, very informative and very well done. Secondly, I would also like to know how you installed the video of yourself over your screen. The question is this. I completely agree that the screen shot and animations are *FAR* superior to the original bullet point. There is definitely information on the top of the screen capture that isn't pertinent to the approval process. Would you consider cropping the screen capture so it maintains the shaded space above and below it? Or possibly introducing the full screen capture and using Morph to crop it down so the pertinent part of the screen capture fits into that area?

      Hi Julie! Below is a list of gear I currently use along with my affiliate links from my video description. I don't use a webcam, but I connect my camera to my PC using the Cam Link. This way, you can get better angles and lighting. But if you do use your phone or a webcam, I recommend elevating the camera, so you don't have it pointing up at you. I hope this helps!

    • @SharonSmith
      @SharonSmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Sweta! Glad you found my videos helpful. I do my desktop screen recording in Camtasia and I also film myself on a green screen and then merge the two in post production of the video. Two videos you may find helpful include how to create training videos in PowerPoint: th-cam.com/video/HD5q48xWSgY/w-d-xo.html and how to capture video for your presentation: th-cam.com/video/2UYtE6Q3tVk/w-d-xo.html I'll be working on more videos this year on how to create training videos. If you record in Zoom, it can capture you on your webcam and also capture your screen share and the rendered video usually displays with your webcam to the right of the screen capture. Here are some affiliate links to the tools I use:
      ✦ Screen Recording Software: techsmith.z6rjha.net/NZG5b
      ✦ Green Screen: amzn.to/2DnHsY2
      ✦ Camera: amzn.to/39KvpQA

    thanks for your very helpful video.
    maybe you can help me with the following question.
    I do NOT want to record an audio in powerpoint, but have a pre-recorded audio, I want to insert it and "click" my animations so that they match the pre-recorded audio. The video should then be able to see/hear the audio and the animations.
    How can this succeed?
    Thank you in advance for your feedback.

    What version of powerpoint is this... I can't find that recording tab on my 2016 in ribbon customizatin

    • @SharonSmith
      @SharonSmith  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello - I'm using M365. I found this information on PowerPoint 2016:
      PowerPoint 2016 includes a Recording tab, but it may not be visible by default. If you don't see the Recording tab on your PowerPoint ribbon, you can enable it manually. Here's how to do it:
      Open PowerPoint 2016.
      Go to the File tab at the top left of the screen.
      Select Options from the menu. This will open the PowerPoint Options dialog box.
      In the PowerPoint Options dialog box, click on Customize Ribbon in the left-hand menu.
      In the right pane, you’ll see a list of tabs. Look for Recording in the list.
      If the Recording tab is unchecked, check the box next to it.
      Click OK to close the dialog box.
      The Recording tab should now appear on your ribbon, giving you access to features like recording a slideshow, adding narration, and creating screen recordings directly within PowerPoint.
      If you don't see the option at all, it might be because the version or build of PowerPoint 2016 you have doesn’t include it, as some earlier versions of PowerPoint 2016 did not have this tab. If that's the case, you might need to update your Office suite to get access to the latest features.
      Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
