So what's next for your channel? Will you still make the Valor & Victory and other videos you had previously planned? Or maybe more guides for other games?
Thanks for asking! :) I'm currently playing Baldur's Gate 3, there's content being written and coming for it (and the previous games). There will also be something about Workers and Resources, given how well my video about it has been doing. Valor & Victory, I have even a script for it done, but unfortunately, I don't think there's going to be enough interest in it. I really like the game, and there's a new DLC coming, but it's probably going to be just a stream, nothing else.
@@Hexaboo I see. Sad to hear about Valor & Victory, especially since I'm not too interested in Workers and Resources. Looking forward to your BG videos and whatever else you have planned. Loved BG 3, the best crpg I played in years.
I managed a quick ahistorical run-through already (back to back with 1944 ahistorical), and found it interesting, with an ambitious alternative timeline and some neat units. But it is a bit weird to see zero development in scouting or infantry since 1943 except Volksturm. and the most advanced long-distance bomber being worse than cheaper ones? I really did like the Indian part, a pleasant surprise and clearly beta testing new terrain... Also the 'endless soviets' early on vs the more technical allied advances later are entertaining. But, it is a short campaign, disappointingly so even though some of the battles are large. On the Minsk scenario - watch out for the elite tank army in the SE ... I suspect the '1946 TBC' DLC might be a hint of a link-up with the 'Pacific General 2' line which is yet to be released. Hopefully it will be better than the US missions on the base game which, with the exception of the landing one, are basically too high scale. But of course, for more of a sim than an arcade - I will wait for Unity of Command II to get to 1945. I do wonder how they will handle the alternative branching as here PC2 has blazed a trail.
Re: recons/infantry/strats, agreed. This is another problematic thing that is creeping in, including finding the vehicles that fit the period, especially given that arms development slowed down post-war (especially for Germany). I think this far into the war, there's also an element of 'just increasing the stats is not enough'. The tactics changed historically, and this needs to be reflected in the game mechanics, so it'd be nice to see more than just a 'Wehrmacht Infantry '46' with beefed up stats, for example.
