This is the only quilt video that I can remember that explains the size of needle to use for what kind of fabric. Thank you! I’ve been sewing for almost 50 years. I forgot about the needle due to brain surgery in 2022 followed by a stroke a year later. I have to relearn some things sewing is one. The sound of the sewing machine is soothing. Inspired by your suggestion of a large center! I have some lovely panel of songbook scripture images, and I can cut the panel into squares and build the potato chips around the square!
Years ago, someone made a big quilt out of one Log Cabin block. She named it, "Say When". It was very interesting. Your big Potato Chip quilt block is colorful, interesting, and beautiful. This has me wondering just how big can someone go with this pattern without it going wonky? It may be fun to find out.
That's not a challenge I'd be willing to take on, Arvetta! Not unless you're willing to do the quilting when it's finished. I don't do too many large quilts any more but sure love the mid-sizes. Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
Hi Lea, I’m a quilter from the early 80’s. The potato chip block is my very favorite. I make them fro denim and flannel. I have a favorite thrift store that I go to to get my fabric. Can you imagine they raised the price of the jeans from 50 cents to a dollar. I use them for my homeless quilts. Keep on teaching they can become their favorite pattern too.
Thanks for sharing, Joann!! Do you recall the name of this quilt pattern back in the 80's? I've found it being taught at a quilt retreat in the 90's as 'Lumberyard Quilts'. More recently it's been called 'Scrappy Rectangles'. It's fun to share stories about these quilts, where they originated, and how they re-emerged! You're right about thrift store prices. As with everything else prices keep climbing. Fortunately there are still some bargains to find for the diligent shopper. 😊 Thanks so much for your comment and for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
Great tips that I really needed to make this block. As I have aged and aged!!! I have found that I need more help with instructions, and the way that you showed how to hold the material and how to spit the difference has certainly helped me. Thanks! Pat
Glad it was helpful, Susan! That's a tip I learned a long time ago and I still use it on every quilt I make. Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
The low volume worked really well with all those bright fabrics. After adding more rows of those bolder colors really makes it stand out. I'll be showing that in the near future. It's been such fun to make! Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
Hi louise my friend in Arizona and I in delaware are cutting strips and gonna each make a potatoe chip quilt. I'm gonna do a Scrappy one and a Christmas Scrappy one also. Thanks for showing us how to make them

You sold me...! I am starting a bag/tote of blues, blues, blues, I will continue to add for ??? Blue is a majority of choice fir me. I favor quee/king spreads, ( 110 x 110, & 120 x 130, respectively), so this top will be a while to do. Thanks for your video. I've quilted since I was 9, now 79. I sew 2 to 10 hrs, about 300 days a year. Most are tied, from baby to king, sold a local farmers market all summer. I use fabric to bits, rarely have scraps of any size unless I plan a use. Your it!!! Great video, love your honest approach to sewing/quilt making. Any beginner can be successful with your instructions & encouragement. There are masses of videos , & sime very good teachers, you among those select group. I have taught quilting, rug hooking, & on & on. I've had very good reviews many times over the years because my approach is loke yours.. basics, simple for newbies, & advanced to be successful. Keep up your successful approach. Thank you again.

✍Hello... I need a new sewing machine so I can start to sew again and want to start quilting. I've made one quilt several years ago for my oldest daughter's (60) bed. I made a knotted quilt because I couldn't do a quilted one. My grandma made all her quilts by hand and were very beautiful. Her stitches were perfect. I on the other hand sewed clothes but want to make different things now. I've her heard all these different terms you ladies are using. To me what you're making is just a piece quilt. I've never heard jelly roll, potato chip etc. Where in the world did these terms come from. As you can guess I'm79 and have been away from all you modern ladies and what you sew for a long time. I find what you are making right now very interesting. Thank You for all the helpful tips. God Bless Bye from Ohio🌹
This is one of my favorite scrap projects. I am cutting pieces now. So many left over jelly roll strips work well in this, and the colors can be very scrappy as well. Thank you for this idea. The center block is a great starting place and a resting place for the eye. Then the low volume strips make another feature. I bet that could also be dark fabrics for a feature round.
You're right, Nancy! Or even alternating light and dark, depending on how big you want to make it. So many possibilities! Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
yare so kiond to explain as you go, it's much easier for me to understand the how to do amd not to make mistakes that so often happened without really knowing why it is crooked or not properly sewed. Thank you so very much From a beginner that loves quilting, I have just started with a group in Montreal and I just love it we will resume in the Fall so I have time to learn plenty during the Summer to be ready in the next Session comes Fall
Happy to help, Julie! You'll have a fun summer of quilt learning, I'm sure. Hope you'll be back for another lesson or two. Sure appreciate you following along! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
I am making my first potato chip topper. I think it might be laps size or toddler size or baby size. Thank you Leo Louise for sharing your inspiration.
To the crabby folks who snark about her talking too much: Many folks APPRECIATE her "chatter" because she gives so many tips and tricks as she goes along.👍 If you are in too much of a hurry to take some time to watch her carefully demonstrate how to avoid making errors that can magnify as your quilt grows, or too busy to listen to this incredibly warm, friendly, helpful woman teach you, go find another tutorial! I, myself, feel as though I'm learning how to quilt from a dear friend, and that goes a long way in this day & age!!😇❤
Thank you, Louise! My fat quarters keep me quilting with lots of fabrics so there's always lots of pretty colors. Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
I thinks so, too, Linda. Sometimes so many colors can make a quilt look cluttered. Adding a 'break' between it all can make a big difference. Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
Thank you for the tips in sewing this block together. I seem to have 1/8 to 1/4 inch extra on the ends. I see now how you eased the seam. Since Brenda at Conquering Mt. Scrapmore had a tutorial, I've made two quilt tops for the local quilt guild. I enjoy it so much that I've been making a block a day. They're piling up! Also Melissa from 70 acres studio has tutorials of "stuffed potato chip" blocks. Possibilities are endless. What fun!!! Take care, Marion in Oregon.
Glad the tips are helpful, Marion! Congrats on your finished quilts. It sounds like you have many more coming soon. 😊 It's great to have you following along! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
Love it! Will try next time. Working on Cal King low volume potato chip block quilt. I am sure I will have plenty of leftovers. I love this design. So much fun. Thank you for so much inspiration!
I have been sewing a traditional potato chip quilt in harvest colors. It does take a long time to sew. At least, for me. I love the way you use lights and darker fabrics for framing and a place for the eye to rest. ❤❤
That color scheme sounds beautiful, Nancy! Mixing up fabrics and colors is what keeps me quilting - I love doing it! These blocks are fun b/c you can do so much them whether for décor or personal preferences. This large single block went much faster than lots of little ones so there may be another to yet to come. Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
I appreciate the tips you give while sewing, e.g. how to align each round to avoid having slants (see min. 19:38). Great advice❣️ I like starting the quilt with a larger, multi-colored print square that coordinates with a lot of colors. I prefer what I term "controlled scrappy." Thanks for sharing your excellent tutorials...don't change a thing.
I am with you on this block! Ive finished one quilt, several hot pads, and started another quilt. I love how certain colourways effect the look. All these different ideas for block placement do make this so fun! I want to make the log cabin, and now this medallion style large block has me intrigued. Thank you for all your great turorials.
It's true that you can't make just one! 🤣 There are just too many options to try. The fact that it's so easy makes it even more enticing! I think there are still a few more for me to play around with. Appreciate you following along. Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
There's definitely enough blocks cut for at least another couple rows. I'll be working on that tomorrow. I'll get a picture out on the Community Page so everyone can see it. Sure appreciate you following along. Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
This is such a great idea. The quilt top is beautiful. I only completed one quilt years ago and really disliked trying to make all the seams match. I hand tied it.. I never had a machine that would do quilting.. Thank you for showing us this beautiful pattern and the lessons on how you choose colors. All the information you folks provide is very valuable to us.
You're right, Christine! There's always something that doesn't match somewhere in any quilt. I always leave my mistakes in the video as the solution can be very helpful to new sewers. It also makes for 'lighthearted' moment, too. Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
This is so fun! I am not wanting to work on a specific block for a quilt, so I am cutting up scraps to 2 1/2x4 1/2 pieces to use for a future quilt. This is a great thing to do when you want to sew but not on a specific quilt block! Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt.
Absolutely, Pam! I started by sewing lots of strip pairs together end-to-end which saved me lots of time assembling blocks. Have fun making yours! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
This was a fun design to play with, Debee! Just need to wait a day or two for my sewing machine so I can get it finished. Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
This is beautiful. I could see making a baby quilt using a quilt as you go technique. When you've sewn all the rounds, quilting as you go, all that's left is trimming and binding. 😊
Great suggestion for finishing! This is an awesome pattern and QAYG would make this quick quilt even faster. Thanks so much for watching. Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
Yes, a perfect baby quilt, Jacqueline! It'd also be fun with a larger panel in the center. So much you can do with this quilt! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
I made a queen size and working on 2 lap quilt. So relaxing. My scrapes still seem to grow. So looks like everyone and their dogs might end up with one. lol.

Wonderful quilt. I'm doing a shop hop and that is a wonderful way to display all the fabric I pick up while traveling to all the shops here in Michigan
That's wonderful, Debra! You'll be amazed how many scraps you'll use. This is an awesome scrap buster! Appreciate you following along. Happy Quilting, Lea Louise

I’m quite thankful for your videos and sharing of knowledge 😊. As someone with misophonia (little to no tolerance for certain sounds, voices or repeated sounds), for some reason your voice resonates well with me. I can’t say that for a lot of channels because they are too shrill or hard to understand (due to the fact they mumble…not because of any accent), or even worse - prattle on and on about nothing related to their subject. They take forever to get to the point so if I encounter that, then I tell YT “not interested” in their channel.
Your feedback means a lot to me! I appreciate your support and I'm happy to hear that my content is helpful to you. Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
I love all the vibrant colors, so pretty together, and thank you for explaining everything so well. I'm still working on my first quilt top, king size Irish chain quilt, can't decide if I want a border or not. Thank you for all your videos, they really help ❤
That's a huge first quilt project, Barbara! You may appreciate even just a narrow border on a quilt with so many pieces along the edges. Otherwise it can be difficult to quilt and maintain that narrow seam allowance. Borders are very forgiving! Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
Thank you, I added 6 inches border . Now to figure out how to make a quilt sandwich and quilt i and how to use a walking foot.. I need some luck on this one......tyvm for all your help
Just give yourself plenty of space to get it laid out and layered, Barbara. I usually tape my backing down to the floor or table to hold it taut. Then I add the batting a quilt top. My new favorite is to spray baste everything together. So much easier than crawling around with safety pine! Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
@@InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouisethank you for all your help, I finally got it all together and I quilted every two inches a straight line, I can't do fancy quilting.. so do I try to trim it up now and then add the binding around it? I'll keep going through your videos 😊 thanks again for your help ❤
Thank you for the information on finger pressing the seams as-you-go. Many videos tend to ignore the issue (or just press open all seams). This is a variation of the Court House Steps.... Is that right? The effort of using all same size rectangles is gorgeous. 🍄🍄
Glad you found this helpful! Yes, this is a variation of the court house steps and multi color strips make such a difference. The CHSteps block often uses lights and darks on opposing sides. That's another layout that would be find to try with the smaller sized blocks. Just when I think I'm finished more ideas keep popping up! 🤣 This is such a fun block and the results are so pretty. Yes, Karen, that surprised me too! I've made lots of brick patterns and enjoy how versatile they are. This actually reminds me of the log cabin courthouse steps block, but the strips are mixed fabrics instead of one fabric. It's an awesome idea and the block goes back at least from 100 years that I can find. Great results for such a simple block! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise

This is something I definitely am going to try. It looks like a relaxing quilt to make too.
That's awesome to hear, Sharon! I'm glad you're excited to give it a try. Enjoy your new quilt! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Inspired by your suggestion of a large center! I have some lovely panel of songbook scripture images, and I can cut the panel into squares and build the potato chips around the square!
Thar sounds so lovely 🤩
I agree need more sewing, learn more that way
That's a fabulous idea, Evelyn! it'll be gorgeous. Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting

Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I like the Way you explain what and WHY you do something. Thank you!❤
I appreciate that, Kris! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Great tips that I really needed to make this block. As I have aged and aged!!! I have found that I need more help with instructions, and the way that you showed how to hold the material and how to spit the difference has certainly helped me. Thanks! Pat
They are all comments so you know how to manage any “problem” you may have during the process. Very helpful.
Thanks so much, Carolyn! Appreciate you watching. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Thank you. I like the way you measured as it got bigger. I have a hard time keeping my squares squared. This tip will help. I will try this soon
Glad it was helpful, Susan! That's a tip I learned a long time ago and I still use it on every quilt I make. Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Love the low volume … it frames the center ❤
The low volume worked really well with all those bright fabrics. After adding more rows of those bolder colors really makes it stand out. I'll be showing that in the near future. It's been such fun to make! Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Hi louise my friend in Arizona and I in delaware are cutting strips and gonna each make a potatoe chip quilt. I'm gonna do a Scrappy one and a Christmas Scrappy one also. Thanks for showing us how to make them
You and your friend will have a great time making this quilt, Debbie! But let me warn you, you can't make just one! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Just like Lay’s 🤣🤣🤣
I just hope I don't quilt the whole bag of potato chips, Sandy! Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Your dedication to quilting is truly inspiring, and I'm honored to have played a small part in your creative journey. Thank you for taking the time to share your story, Pat! Sure appreciate you watching. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
This video was so interesting I really enjoyed it!
Glad you enjoyed it, Jenice! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
This is one of my favorite scrap projects. I am cutting pieces now. So many left over jelly roll strips work well in this, and the colors can be very scrappy as well. Thank you for this idea. The center block is a great starting place and a resting place for the eye. Then the low volume strips make another feature. I bet that could also be dark fabrics for a feature round.
You're right, Nancy! Or even alternating light and dark, depending on how big you want to make it. So many possibilities! Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
yare so kiond to explain as you go, it's much easier for me to understand the how to do amd not to make mistakes that so often happened without really knowing why it is crooked or not properly sewed.
Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I love the idea of a large blocking the center. I have some embroidered squares that would look great in this quilt.
I am making my first potato chip topper. I think it might be laps size or toddler size or baby size. Thank you Leo Louise for sharing your inspiration.
To the crabby folks who snark about her talking too much:
Many folks APPRECIATE her "chatter" because she gives so many tips and tricks as she goes along.👍 If you are in too much of a hurry to take some time to watch her carefully demonstrate how to avoid making errors that can magnify as your quilt grows, or too busy to listen to this incredibly warm, friendly, helpful woman teach you, go find another tutorial!
I, myself, feel as though I'm learning how to quilt from a dear friend, and that goes a long way in this day & age!!😇❤
What they said!
@lifeofjoy9404- Thank you!💕🧵
You have the prettiest fabrics. 🥰
Thank you, Louise! My fat quarters keep me quilting with lots of fabrics so there's always lots of pretty colors. Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Love this. I'm going to have to make the potato chip quilt. Thank you!!🎉❤
You've gott'a do it, Janet! You'll love it, even after you make 5 of them. 😂🤣 Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I love the 2 rows of low volume. It makes it look so soft. Really pretty.
I thinks so, too, Linda. Sometimes so many colors can make a quilt look cluttered. Adding a 'break' between it all can make a big difference. Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I love the colors and the light contrast on the two rows. Good job! I will probably do this soon with my scraps.
Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Sweet. Your low volume round was truly inspired. What a happy lap quilt you are coming up with.
Thank you! 😊 I'm very happy with the results. Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I appreciate the tips you give while sewing, e.g. how to align each round to avoid having slants (see min. 19:38). Great advice❣️ I like starting the quilt with a larger, multi-colored print square that coordinates with a lot of colors. I prefer what I term "controlled scrappy." Thanks for sharing your excellent tutorials...don't change a thing.
Great description, Marsha! Thanks so much for following along. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I am with you on this block! Ive finished one quilt, several hot pads, and started another quilt. I love how certain colourways effect the look. All these different ideas for block placement do make this so fun! I want to make the log cabin, and now this medallion style large block has me intrigued. Thank you for all your great turorials.
It's true that you can't make just one! 🤣 There are just too many options to try. The fact that it's so easy makes it even more enticing! I think there are still a few more for me to play around with. Appreciate you following along. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I just did my live doing a potato chip block, want to try this version next.
That's awesome, Lawayne! You'll enjoy it, I'm sure. Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting
Lea Louise
I vote to keep going! I would love to see it big! (KH)
There's definitely enough blocks cut for at least another couple rows. I'll be working on that tomorrow. I'll get a picture out on the Community Page so everyone can see it. Sure appreciate you following along. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
This is such a great idea. The quilt top is beautiful. I only completed one quilt years ago and really disliked trying to make all the seams match. I hand tied it.. I never had a machine that would do quilting.. Thank you for showing us this beautiful pattern and the lessons on how you choose colors. All the information you folks provide is very valuable to us.
You are so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my video. Thanks so much for watching. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Nobody really says how things don’t always match up. But you show how to get around it. That’s what I need. Thanks
You're right, Christine! There's always something that doesn't match somewhere in any quilt. I always leave my mistakes in the video as the solution can be very helpful to new sewers. It also makes for 'lighthearted' moment, too. Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Looks amazing ❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting
Lea Louise
This is so fun! I am not wanting to work on a specific block for a quilt, so I am cutting up scraps to 2 1/2x4 1/2 pieces to use for a future quilt. This is a great thing to do when you want to sew but not on a specific quilt block! Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt.
Absolutely, Pam! I started by sewing lots of strip pairs together end-to-end which saved me lots of time assembling blocks. Have fun making yours! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Such a versatile layout, the rows or low volume make it pop
This was a fun design to play with, Debee! Just need to wait a day or two for my sewing machine so I can get it finished. Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Great video! I have panel pieces that I have no idea what to do with them, now I know what to try! Thanks
Wonderful idea! Have fun making your quilt. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I love the chatter! ❤
Thank you for enjoying the chatter, Nancy! Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
This is beautiful. I could see making a baby quilt using a quilt as you go technique. When you've sewn all the rounds, quilting as you go, all that's left is trimming and binding. 😊
Great suggestion for finishing! This is an awesome pattern and QAYG would make this quick quilt even faster. Thanks so much for watching. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I think this would make a great baby quilt.
Yes, a perfect baby quilt, Jacqueline! It'd also be fun with a larger panel in the center. So much you can do with this quilt! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Love the way you teach your craft of quilting SCRAPS ! You sound so talented at this craft of your talent of quilting!
Thank you so much, Joan! Sure appreciate you watching. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Can’t wait to use up my scraps using this technique. Will use project s to collect my many color combinations
I made a queen size and working on 2 lap quilt. So relaxing. My scrapes still seem to grow. So looks like everyone and their dogs might end up with one. lol.
I love this !!! I am recovering from shoulder replacement now, and can’t wait to do those it looks so fun. ❤️
It is fun, Carroll, and a very creative way to play with fabrics and colors! Get that shoulder strong so you can make your own. Sure appreciate you following along. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Love this quilt! The colors are gorgeous, and the low volume strips really set off the middle area. Thanks for such a clear and informative tutorial. Added this quilt to my very long list of quilts I want to try. Thanks!
Definitely think about this quilt when you need to clear out your scrap pile, Linda! It's an awesome scrap-buster. Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
So lovely. Thanks.
So glad you enjoyed the video, Dyana! Thanks so much for following along. Happy Quilting,

Very pretty and easy to do thx
Glad you like it, Michelle! It's certainly a fun pattern to make. Thanks so much for watching. Happy Quilting,

Looking at your fabrics I see so much that I’ve used too! I didn’t know what a potato chip block was so I turned in and subscribed. Thank you!
How fun! Thank you for this tutorial. I love anything scrappy!
This is an awesome block for a quilt, Sandy! So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for following along. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
❤that is really a nice potato chip quilt, and I like the larger block in the centre, thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for watching, Doreen! Happy Quilting,

Wonderful quilt. I'm doing a shop hop and that is a wonderful way to display all the fabric I pick up while traveling to all the shops here in Michigan
A fantastic idea, and also a great memory quilt! Enjoy making your quilt. Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Love it!!
So glad, Mary! Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting,

Really pretty colors! I like your methods.
Thank you so much, Deborah! Using all those colors really make it lots of fun to put together. Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Love your detailed description very helpful for the beginner. I will be using up my scraps and left over jelly rolls.
That's wonderful, Debra! You'll be amazed how many scraps you'll use. This is an awesome scrap buster! Appreciate you following along. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Nice! You have so many nice fabrics!
I once mixed pre-cuts and hand cut strips for a Bargello, it was a disaster. Never again...
Good for you for trying, Jil! I've admired them and even did a bargello needlepoint, but can't imagine doing a quilt. It's the minute details that would do me in! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting
Lea Louise
This is so well done! I had never heard of this potato chip method. Thank you so much!
Very pretty. I must try this one. Except for choosing colors of rectangles it could be relaxing and mindless for a time.
I hope you give this quilt a try, Frances! Just choose colors you like and you'll find it's very relaxing to make. Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
May 28, 2024 Update from me. Tried your "easing" method tonight with potato chip block. Worked out well. Thank you. Marion in Oregon
It's a great trick to have up your sleeve for those blocks that want to be a problem, Marion! Thanks so much for following along. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
I love all the vibrant colors, so pretty together, and thank you for explaining everything so well. I'm still working on my first quilt top, king size Irish chain quilt, can't decide if I want a border or not. Thank you for all your videos, they really help ❤
That's a huge first quilt project, Barbara! You may appreciate even just a narrow border on a quilt with so many pieces along the edges. Otherwise it can be difficult to quilt and maintain that narrow seam allowance. Borders are very forgiving! Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Thank you, I added 6 inches border . Now to figure out how to make a quilt sandwich and quilt i and how to use a walking foot.. I need some luck on this one......tyvm for all your help
Just give yourself plenty of space to get it laid out and layered, Barbara. I usually tape my backing down to the floor or table to hold it taut. Then I add the batting a quilt top. My new favorite is to spray baste everything together. So much easier than crawling around with safety pine! Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
@@InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouisethank you for all your help, I finally got it all together and I quilted every two inches a straight line, I can't do fancy quilting.. so do I try to trim it up now and then add the binding around it? I'll keep going through your videos 😊 thanks again for your help ❤
great video thank you and great tips .
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much for watching! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Appreciate you following along. Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Thank you, just love this design. Thanks also for all the tips and tricks. I learnt so much from you ❤
Awesome, Cornelia! I'm happy you liked the design and picked up some helpful tips! Thanks so much for watching. Happy Quilting,

Really helpful tips, thanks!
Happy you enjoyed this video! Watch for the next "PCB Installment" later today. I thought I was finished until this idea popped up. Sure appreciate you following along. Happy Quilting,

We always call those pieces “ bricks” and yes they’re a lot of fun to work with
Yes, Karen, that surprised me too! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Thank you, I really enjoyed this video ❤
Glad you enjoyed it, Barbara! Sure appreciate you watching! Happy Quilting,

It looks so pretty
I'm excited to see it finished, Barbara! The colors are nice and bright against the low volume which worked well. Thanks so much for following along! Happy Quilting,
Lea Louise
Inspiring ❤
Holy smokes Lea - now you teach me how NOT to wrestle getting a new needle out of the package. WOWSER tHANKS!
It's a great trick, Pat! Can't tell you how long I struggled with the same but not anymore. 🤣 Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting,
