    Beginning sewers or anyone with arthritis should not be afraid to pin. It is worth it and the time you put in pinning won’t be wasted on ripping out.

    Lea, have all the donation quilts been given out? My husband was watching as the president visited the devastating flood victims yesterday. There were victims who had not received anything or any help from anyone. I don't have any names or exact areas because I was not watching the coverage myself. I am in Kansas so too far away to do much to help. I would gladly send more quilts if that helps

      Not to get too political. I would not trust the new president for truthful information.
      Asking people who live there is a much better idea.

      thats political.. and unkind…And yes.. hundreds if people have gotten nothing. reference the NC fema head who sent memo” bypass and house with a trump sign

      @elainelear4982 ... quilter to quilter: the request was made by flood victims in the presence of the President. No need to get political. Respect goes a long way. Took courage to make the request.

      @elainelear4982 Stop already. EVERY president gets information from boots on the ground. With teams of people, they can ALL get incorrect information. My sister lives in Pasadena and yes it looks like the apocalypse there. 😊

    Thank you for this Lea Louise!! I have been wanting to know how to twist & turn hsqts to make those beautiful designs! Do you have to start with 5” squares or can you use 51/2 or maybe 6”?

    I prefer to trim half square triangles with the strip tube ruler before pressing them open. Much faster for me.

  • @ChristianAustinite
    @ChristianAustinite 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    I usually cut them first diagonally and then sewing them together, I tried that technique and have not been able to mastered it I don't know why.

  • @katem1105

    I prefer the paper pieced method. No triming

    Why draw the line corner to corner? I draw the line short of the corners about 1 or 1.5 inches. I can sew straight confidently from the corner to the line, then again from the line to the corner.
