I've been a multiclass healers since '07. My healyvoker has been siting for a while now and I just picked it up again. Only lvl 64. You've helped me make sense of some aspects that were bamboozling me, making me not feel confident. Great video, ty!
Thanks for this video. I've been a healer for ages but am just now giving Evoker a try. I was doing okay, but this really helps me to think about the spec correctly which I think will improve my performance a lot.
It's a same Prevokers struggle in high keys cause i genuinely believe it's one of the best designed specs in the games history. I'm always having a blast playing with this spec. Keep up the good work!!!
I absolutely looove Evoker healing, and describing it as "fighting game combos" is exactly how I explain it to others asking about the spec! I'm so glad that you see it the same way, it creates a different kind of satisfaction that other healers just aren't able to give me. I feel like the skill ceiling for pres evoker is insanely high, and I absolutely love learning more and more about the spec almost every time I play it. Your channel has been amazing for picking up new things and for solidifying the other things I've come up with while experimenting. Keep up the awesome work and I look forward to seeing how everything turns out in the next season! :)
Thanks for the reply, and ya pretty much echos are the only way i've been able to handle max range ranged players. I would say the temporal nerf from 5 to 3 makes echos in shorter supply. I tested out living flame against mobs in a dungeon, turns out they don't consume an echo off an ally. For some reason I was convinced that wasnt the case so I wasnt casting living flame if i had echos up. Glad thats not the case!
Thank you for this great video, I’ve been a resto shaman for many years and am about to play preservation. Nervous about the change in playstyle and the muscle memory. Excited for the green spells!
Hi Bowser! Thank you so much for your videos and the way you explain it. It would be awesome if you did a video like this but for Raid, the talents you would use and the main combos during the fight. Let's make the Prevoker the best healer 💪🏻
gosh i am such a WoW noob even though ive played it before, its hard for me to understand at times. what are those buttons on the left side of your screen and how would i use them?
Okay so some of those are things I just click like a mount or the transmog toy I like to have on my bars. But some of them have keybinds. Its much easier to see at a full crispy 1080p resolution not on TH-cam LOL. But things I don't need the intimidate info about are often off to the side. Like I do not need to know when Lust is off cooldown. I do have bloodlust (fury of the aspects) as click only so I don't accidentally slam that in the middle of a key when we don't need it! Some people use these WA packs that have bars and icons show up. I don't tend to use those, and run with my UI kinda big and in a place I can see cooldowns. So not all of it needs to be super visible. But the things I wanna see the most are upright and in my face!
What I learned from your video: try out diff talent and mix in bloom as a 3rd big heal What I'm not sure I agree about (not around the game to test this out), you mention several times doing damage, but we only have 3 real damage options (ignoring our 3min bombing run); flame breath, which you should be doing anyway, disintegrate, which is costing you echos or blooms to use, and living flame ~ but I'm fairly certain that casting living flame on a mob will still use up an echos you've set up. So, I'm not sure really what damage you're suggesting people do after setting up a round of echos. Unless you mean flame breath every 30sec maybe a disintegrate if you dont mind the possible loss of healing potential Also, I'm surprised you don't talk about healing with ranged in your group, whom typically stand behind us. This became a huge issue for me during Lord Chronos (or whatever) in the S2 mega dungeon. I came up with my tactic to overcome being stuck in the middle of ranged and melee, but what's yours?
I talk about ranged healing in my guides, I have gone over it many times so id run and find those videos but the short answer is toss echos on ranged people in narnia otherwise yell at them to move in. Damage makes keys faster, is very important. But disintegrate gives mana and living flame doesnt pop echos if cast on an enemy. Even leaping flames that heal from low enemy target count dont. And those heals from tier set will potentially give an echo, but not remove them until you directly heal!
I wonder if I've been doing it wrong this whole time, lol. I usually follow every individual echo with a heal immediately, you saying I can just pre echo everybody first, and THEN toss out one heal and it'll heal everybody I pre echoed? If so, that's a game changer for me, lol.
I like these, but since I've just started Preservation, it would be helpful if you'd put the spells up when talking about them, makes my new slow brain understand better.
I dont know if is the case, but i use "big debuff" addon for see more than 3 buffs, Also others addons like "leatrix plus" or "advanced interface option" works.
I’m new to WoW, my friends got me into it a few days ago and i’m LOVING the healing. However, a lot of this feels like nonsense to me and it goes over my head. I really need a dummies guide to this kind of stuff. The dragon class is so sick and preservation sounds fun but damn, I have no idea what’s going on.
Well first of all welcome! Second of all this is more for once you know how to play! BUT I have some great news, I am literally starting the process of making my Season 3 guide to preservation. My Season 2 guide might help while you're waiting too! But I will have that guide coming this week! However, what kind of beginner things would you want me to go over? What things are you lost on? Ill either try to include it, or ill write it down for when I make my absolute beginners guide!
@@Bowserthehealer Thanks so much for the response and sorry for taking so long to write back. First a foremost, for the Preservation healing, I’m not sure how the echos work how to get echos on players. Secondly, I don’t completely get the playstyle of the healers. Like positioning, macros and some of the micro-play, if that’s making any sense. I’m still pretty new so i’m sure I just need to invest more time into the game. Sometime im not even sure what i’m confused by, i’m just confused 😂 I’ll be looking forward to your beginners guide though!
Please specify that this is mainly oriented towards M+ healing, not raid. Raid healing is a whole another world. Ofc it shares some combos with the M+ healing style.
My content in thumbnails always shows who I'm talking to. I don't think I said it here, but all these combos are geared towards dungeons. In raid you always go big for combos, you would never wanna cleave heal lol. Ill be sure to say so next time, like I usually do

Bowser you always do such a great job of explaining in your videos, amazing stuff as always!

That’s so big for our new four set so I hope it smoothes your gameplay out as much as it did mine!

Love this advice, i struggle with combos on Pres
Shoutout to the boy Lilscotty running by at 6:30 :D

so if you're in a raid environment would you ever TA twice before spending for a decent sized ramp with the current changes to TA?
So in raid you can but the timing is extremely tight. Positioning must be good, and you need to cash out almost immediately
Keep these healer videos coming...I think I will finally give pres a try
Very good video, thank you

yoo what is that circle mouse thing you got going on!? :)
what is that party frame addon?
I like these, but since I've just started Preservation, it would be helpful if you'd put the spells up when talking about them, makes my new slow brain understand better.
Hey! How are you getting more than 3 buffs/hots to show on ur party frames? I'm using default frames as well and only see 3
I dont know if is the case, but i use "big debuff" addon for see more than 3 buffs, Also others addons like "leatrix plus" or "advanced interface option" works.

That's honestly a great questionxI too am curious on this
Hi can you name your addons?

You're fine! Normally I do say it outright, I prob did in one take but not the final take!@@tryptic1120
Dude for god sake... i can't belieave you are so dumb. C'mon
how do you guys think Preservation is going to perform next tier?
I think they are going to carry like we did the last two :=). They are just such a strong healer..
Preservation is hard in healing i heal with every class but this one is complicated
Please make a raid guide!
My only issues with playing evoker as healer are azralon and ragnaros players.
Ultra hard...makes me sad how bad Im and can only play holy priest
Stop by sometime! I'm sure I can help you make sense of it! Holy has its tough spots too so I firmly believe you can do it!
Who is dat cute purple dwagon.? I wonder if he knows Spyro 0,,0
