Here is a free lesson in WRIST HEALTH from a Pianist: 16:49 this is more important than most people realize. I have played piano for many years including at university, and they really stressed how bad your wrists and back can get if you do not have proper posture and hand movement. Same applies for keyboards. Your wrist joints should move as little as possible, and be as relaxed as possible. Let your fingers and elbow joint do all the moving. Imagine you have a brace on your wrist, so you cant bend your wrist very much. That's the best way for your wrist health. You will still bend your wrist left and right slightly, but only to get your fingers in place to do the actual pushing. Your wrist should not be moving your fingers up or down, at all. That is entirely your fingers job. And if you use your wrists to press buttons, this puts a tiny bit of strain on your back muscles (from anchoring your arm in place, allowing your wrist to bend down without moving your arm in the wrong direction), over and over and over again. Do this for years, and now you have a bad back, and risk arthritis in your wrist. Your fingers are the most precise thing we have, and are MADE for repetitive movements. Your wrist is made for convenience, and is WEAK. This will also GREATLY help your muscle memory. My professors told me that fingers have a better muscle memory than our wrists, because our fingers are used for more precise things. This is harder to do with your mouse hand, but your mouse hand will not be making those repetitive movements over and over again, like your left hand mashing a spell. Using your finger/thumb to mash a button on your mouse will not harm your wrist (unless your wrist is tight all the time). The thing to remember with your mouse hand is to keep your wrist loose, and use your wrist as little as possible. You will need your wrist for fine adjustments on your mouse hand, but this isnt a repetitive movement, over and over again, over the course of years (like mashing a button on a keyboard is). It is okay to use your wrists in non repetitive ways, just don't use your wrist joint to apply pressure (like pressing a button) because this translates to stress on your wrist and back.

it feels like that there is got to be a crazy flameshaper combo in raids thats mental and we just havent figured it out yet. just think of crazy combos with stasis...i think were not respecting it enough, unless the consume flame talent is not as good as i think it is

3k rated S3, I've been running nozdormu's teachings since S2. You get so much extra throughput from your empower spells that for the most part major cooldowns are not used in anything below 10-12 right now and stasis is basically never used. At some point I stopped speccing into it. Don't miss it one bit. Flow state is amazing and easily the most valuable points on the tree when playing nozdormu's, because you are going to be maintaining the buff basically 100% of the time with minimal effort and you're double dipping empower CDR.

DPS as a healer is totally pointless and more often than not leads you to missheal or take unnecessary damage because you're not focusing on the environment. Blowing Chastise on DPS is like a drop in the ocean, its far better kept for an interrupt. If you get downtime and want something to do, just Holy Nova.

I want to main evoker next exp

Raid blossom build enjoyer here. The 15% mana reduction and power nexus position change has been great! I can cast 3 or 4 blossoms in any damage windows depending on essence burst with 30% spawning another one. These will be cause HOTS in the war within.

Feels like Preservation has now much more choices that are equal and play style related, nice!

i switched to blossom build at the start of season 4 and it was rough with mana the 15 percent mana cost reduc is HUGE the build is way more fun and way better!!

Im switching to Evoker for TWW and i might also heal for the first time in my life basically, so thats going to be interesting.. specially seeing how bursty the damage is nowadays. Are you planning on doing a Augmentation Video too? Also, any professions you prefer?

how do you have it so you just put your cursor over the part icon to heal instead of clicking to heal

Method do this on their videos and it really does make it easier to follow for visual learners as its easier to see the integrations! Much love!

Awesome video dude!! I’ve been a Vengeance DH main since Legion dropped and will play a good amount of Havoc as well. I’ve been really interested in Evoker, especially Augmentation. I’ve had a rough start getting everything down, but your video helped a TON!!! Very good breakdown on how to utilize the class as well as when and why you use abilities!!

what you say is 100% correct and is a great rebuttal to people say that healers only need to heal. feel like people that say they only need to heal really dont understand the game and the content that they are doing. m+ is for finding those windows to dps after all the healing is been done.

I'm a "new" healer, only seriously picking up the role at the end of last season when the group I play with was struggling to find healers. I have to say, and this will be obvious to anyone that has healed M+, the group you are with and how good they are at mechanics makes a HUGE difference. In this group we were struggling to complete very low keys and I was having a hell of a time keeping people up. A friend of mine pulled me into some M+ with a certain guild on Moon Guard (😉 ) and I healed my first 7s and 8s. I was scared to death! However, I found these higher keys faaaar easier to heal than the lower keys! …It was the group! They KNEW mechanics and stayed out of them. I’ve since joined this guild on Moon Guard, but I still play with the original group. They….aren’t good, but we do have some good laughs. Cheers!

Thanks so much for this video, Bowser! I’ve been struggling switching to the echo raid build from my blossom build of last season, even with using icy veins & similar tips/builds. Your video is very clear and concise to explain the main deal on how to setup the raid combo’s with it. I’m glad you got around to this requested topic!

You can use communion whille HOVERING?! This is a game changer!!

Your point at 15:45 ish is a really great point that I think could be applied to anybody learning to heal. To get into an action flow (and I think the flow is important) and learning how to add in and remove parts of the flow as you go along healing. I think it also helps nervous healers how to be calmer and less likely to frantically key and spell around. There are mistakes and there are emergencies, but a healer should feel like a rhythm where you're totally aware of the castbar and already ready for what your next spell should be. A lot of people don't learn that rhythm (especially the bare basics "this is not good gameplay but will keep people alive) of each healer and go in and panic and start spamming this and that and then make mistakes. They need the healing.... idk? Flow? Healing has a flow, I think. For people who may struggle to feel that flow, maybe think of a spell interaction to get you into it. Like resto shaman tidal waves (riptide - heal this, heal that) or holy priest Lightweaver (flash heal, flash heal, give this big heal!) rotation type stuff. It's a sort of back and forth that you weave between in healing. I am probably making no sense, but it's how healing has always made sense to me, in that it has a (chaotic? OFTEN) rhythm, but it has a rhythm, and the more you know the rhythm, the easier it is to make little deviations

(Just started the video, but remember when Discipline healer's niche was low constant smart healing, and targeted big healing, and they said that they wanted no smart healing in the game and removed it all. Now discipline is the spec with the least (i.e. NONE) smart healing, and all main healing has to be targeted or decided 10-15 seconds before, and almost every other spec has OOOODLES of smart healing, while disc is still in prison for its MoP sins lol) And some healing specs are literally now defined by smart healing, and have waaaaaaay more absorbs than disc does. RIP the smart battle healer with smart healing and absorbs. Now you have a ramp to get into a ramp to get into a ramp for a cooldown for this cooldown for that cooldown and you need to do this cooldown. Meanwhile, the resto shaman: "Chain heal go burrrrrrrrr". Even Prayer of Healing from Holy Priest is effectively a smart heal, and spammable, even if it's (to be polite) an absolute pile of unicorn excrement.

The first part of this, about echo being a smart heal is just not the case. It is entirely separate, whether a target gets a double db is just up to chance. These smart heals are just "is player under 100.0% health? They are an option to be healed." The only exception to this for us is spiritbloom, which will cleave onto the lowest health allies in range.

Random question, I've had trouble with Verdant Embrace on mouseover macros. It doesn't work if I mouseover a nameplatr like all my other heals, only when I mouseover the character itself. Is this intended or is there something I can do to change this? It gets confusing in content when I'm trying to balance everything and then I have to find the right character too.

I think the time ratio of healing to damage is pretty good right now, my main issue is just that a healer can spam damage and do less than 1/4th of a tank. It makes me feel like I'm just wasting mana, so I might as well cast nothing... It also makes it mandatory to pick up an off-spec for open world content.

To me it comes down to simplicity. Healing is much more reactive and complicated than damage from the decision making you have to do. You either need to have a clear idea of the boss fight ahead of time and line up your cool downs acordingly. Or you have to react. Damage doesnt have to do that to the extent that healing does. Yet most dps kits are still more simple than most healing specs. I just want healing to be more simple. Less buttons, more straight forward.

They need to nerf prevoker dmg.

The healer role isn't easy to balance when every class has so many defensives and dmg reduction sources, they know that yet will do nothing in the short term. I'd love a deep defensive pruning so survivability depends more on the healer and everyone can blame the healer again 💜
