Deep feral is actually very good in pvp with the right gear. The issue is how extremely gear dependent they are and how difficult they are to play competently compared to NS builds. There is little room for error since you don't just have a second health bar in your back pocket as you do with NS. The thing is against rogues and warrior bear form is used a hell of alot, against caster its mostly cat form, you gotta be like water, its just you will encounter alot more rogues and warriors out there.
this makes me miss the good ol days of 2019, right before classic launch, when we all gathered on a duel private server to play 60 1v1s and 2v2s was so good
dude youre a frickin gangsterrr on druid and i always wanted to see a feral play at this level. i would actually pay you to coach me how to get better if youre interested.
Of course! Since this build is a deep feral / omen of clarity spec we are trading survivability for burst. Since it's PvP it depends on what class you are fighting and how many enemies there are but the general rule that I find works for me: VS Clothies/Leather: Ravage -> Shred -> Ferocious Bite. VS Plate/Mail use bleeds instead. This means Pounce -> Rake -> Rip -> Moonfire (if there's time) -> Bear Form. In PvP there are so many moving parts that there is no set rotation for anything though, so it's hard to give a simple rotation in comments. Generally speaking those 2 strategies are what I aim for. If omen of clarity procs, you want to use that free cast for an extra shred almost every time. If you are in a pinch, War Stomp (Tauren), Nature's Grasp, Bash (Bear form) are basically your main ways to create distance and heal. Almost always go for a max rank Regrowth -> Rejuv when healing mid fight. The thing about playing Druid is that there is always so many options in a fight that it really is very situational. And there are many situations where I am not following an exact rotation but just trying to stay close to those 2 strategies for using energy efficiently as possible. You'll learn as you play this spec that VS clothies you have a more offensive/burst strategy while VS armor classes you have a more bleed/survival strategy. I hope that can help!
Mark of Tyranny or Backhand's Breadth? Help me decide. I'm learning towards Blackhand's as it is good threat per second for tanking anyways and I like to PVP. Though for PVP I'll likely be using trinkets with an on use effect anyways, so may not have Blackhand's equipped all the time. So not sure if I should just got Tyranny since it is BiS for mitigation tanking. Such a tough decision!!
Personally I chose Mark of Tyranny but the points you make about Blackhands are valid as well. If I had to choose again I would STILL choose Mark of Tyranny for these reasons: 1. While both are useful in the early stages of end game content, you will eventually be replacing Blackhand's with DPS trinkets like DFT, Slayer's Crest, Kiss of the Spider, etc. Albeit those are going to be very hard to acquire in the first place there are still plenty of low hanging fruit available outside of raid (Rune of the Guard Captain, HoJ, Earthstrike, etc) 2. Mark of Tyranny stays useful for tanking and mitigation forever. I still use it to tank Naxx and have never switched it out for another trinket. You could in theory craft a Smoking Heart of the Mountain as an enchanter for a similar amount of armor on a trinket (150 instead of 180 and no dodge) but personally, I think it's an unnecessary trade off. Unless you are really determined to cat DPS Mark of Tyranny will have more value, assuming you are willing to do more bear things in raid. A tanking role (for me) has been the best way to acquire all the other feral raid gear. Now you could heal or dps and acquire feral pieces as well, especially in a GDKP, but I just prefer tanking and back in classic was rolling for gear MS>OS so being a feral tank was how I was included into those rolls. 3. Like you said, in a PvP setting both trinket's are not going to be as useful as just rotating on use trinket's. So IMO PvP needs shouldn't really be factored into the decision. Ultimately it is still preference and at the end of the day it isn't going to make or break your character. But just looking at how often I used Mark of Tyranny over the years I cannot recommend Blackhand's Breadth over it. Good luck on your decision I hope this helps!
@@wowairheart Thanks mate, those are great points. I will go for Mark of Tyranny then, as I do really enjoy tanking on my druid too! Will be crafting a smoking heart of the mountain too, so will be able to use both initially. Appreciate the advice.

It's actually not a private server, it's Blizzard's Offiical Classic Era servers. They are on the Blizzard Classic servers. They are basically permanent Phase 6 servers. They are still very active and have raiding guilds, battlegrounds and world PvP.
In Classic Era, any class with budget gear will feel sort of bad because many people are running around full BiS and in Phase 6 Naxx/AQ40 epics. However, if you embrace the druid playstyle of not relying on being the best at any one thing, you can find a way to survive and be effective in PvP situations. You will always have to accept that druid is a jack of all trades master of none sort of class, resulting in many strengths but also weaknesses. As far as 5% hit gear for feral goes, the lowest hanging fruit are: Head: Mask of the Unforgiven / Blooddrenched Mask Belt: Belt of Preserved Heads Gloves: Primal Batskin Gloves Wrist: Blackmist Armguards / Primal Batskin Bracers Chest: Primal Batskin Jerkin Cloak: Zulian Tigerhide Cloak Trinket: Rune of the Guard Captain (Horde Only) Shoulders: Truestrike Shoulders Ring: Tarnished Elven Ring These are solid upgrades for a fresh 60 and any combination of them is fine. Most are dungeon and ZG gear. As a feral you just want as many stats as possible, prioritizing stamina, and securing that 5% hit minimum for PvP.
@@wowairheart hybrid gear is accessible with blues but lack stam. Also do you think crit/agi is more valuable in pvp than in pve ? (where it is roughly = to str/ap)
@@sylvainbonnamy987 It's hard to say because I'm not really an expert on the stat weights, but I'd bet that crit/agi are better in PvE than PvP since in PvP you'll want more stam and even int. I find that people tend to sacrifice a lot of int/mana for a little more AP/crit and it ends up being a downside because it limits your options during fights. Less shifts, less heals, less moonfire damage kind of a thing.
I basically use two types of macros across feral attacks. 1 is for stealth openers, a targetnearestenemy macro. And 1 is for all other main attacks, and is a simple startattack macro. >>>The opener macro looks like this (using Pounce as the example) : #showtooltip Pounce /targetnearestenemy /cast Pounce This allows you to spam your opener while in stealth when you're stealth vs stealth, and will help you quickly snap target someone in front of you and open. It should also be used for Ravage. >>>And the startattack macro looks like this (using Shred as the example): #showtooltip Shred /startattack /cast Shred This macro ensures that you are always autoattacking. This is useful in PvE and PvP. For example, when you are engaging a target spamming Shred but haven't got behind your target yet, you will often miss out on auto attack damage because normally you won't start autoattacking until you actually land that first Shred. I highly recommend making all of your Cat and Bear form attacks startattack macros. So Claw, Shred, Rake, and Maul are all a must. I recommend making your Faerie Fire (Feral) a startattack macro also, since ideally you are spamming it in combat and sometimes initiating with it. Other than that, I am not really using any macros. I have a few meme ones that do silly things like /giggle when I war stomp but nothing that affects combat besides the two mentioned above. I hope that helps!
I play on Turtle WoW, where the devs gave polearms and 2h maces in the game feral attack power. I currently run Eye of Nerub (second only to Atiesh because they did NOT put feral AP on Might of Menethil for some reason), and yeah, feral slaps HARD. Oh, wolfshead helm effect was turned into a helm enchant, so you can wear normal helms and still powershift. Feral is brutally good on that server. They even gave us "berzerk," which acts like adrenaline rush while in cat form, or last stand in bear form. Feral is soooo damned fun on Turtle WoW, it's not funny! Restos got tree of life form, and Boomies got 3% spell hit from talents and 20% mana cost reduction while in Moonkin form, so no matter what you do as druid, it's better on Turtle WoW. For pvp, I can either sit back and throw 3k+ starfires with my soulkeeper staff, or I can go feral. HOTW/NS is kind of bullshit on our realm, because tier 2.5, which is kind of essential for the best play in that spec, was turned into a pure boomy set with no agility or strength.
