    Awesome! After one year with Proclaim, we've decided is time to move to ProPresenter. All of you guys still on the fence about ProPresenter or Proclaim, I have to say that you should carefully consider what is the level of tech savviness you have on your team. Proclaim is powerful and easier (especially if you still use PowerPoint) and ProPresenter is a fighter jet in terms of features, but requires a good pilot.

    • @bossssie1
      @bossssie1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We also use Proclaim and I have looked at ProPresenter in the past, but for us Proclaim is much easier with cloud sync. We have multiple people that make the presentations each week on there own PC. ProPresenter seems a bit lacking in this part.

    • @bicher6914
      @bicher6914 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bossssie1 Agreed, but we fixed that using OneDrive and SharePoint or Google Drive, Dropbox etc. for that matter. The point is, you create a synced folder where all you volunteers can sync to, and then point the Support Files link insider ProPresenter's Advanced settings to that folder. Now everything and everybody will use the same ProPresenter version.

      We just switched to pro presenter from proclaim. Liked proclaim but the yearly license gets expensive. Good tip on the shared folder.

    This is about to be sooooo helpful. I’m tired of adding 8,000 actions to every service

    I love the macros, my biggest issue is not really an issue, but this definitely makes easier for volunteers to build presentations. It also stop them from learning the techniques used in these macros. Just gotta make sure we train them on what’s actually happening, so things can be fixed if there is an issue. (Speaking to myself here ) 😁 great video

    Been using macros to organize Looks and changes in stage displays for a couple weeks at this point. It's been super helpful and actually saved me quite a bit of time already.

      I'm pretty sure macros were designed for all of the different looks and stage display setups required to make it through one service. Definite time saver!!

    Still trying to wrap my head around this for our main use case. I understand the basic concept. Our use case for songs: outputs for in-house audience view, lower thirds NDI stream to livestream PC and separate full screen NDI to livestream PC. On the title slide for the song we want both outputs to be the same, so I queue the audience look and the full screen livestream look with a full screen background and text on top. For all the lyrics slides I keep the audience look, which keeps the background with lyric text centered for in-house, and then turn off the full screen livestream look and turn on the lower thirds livestream look, which shows text over a faded background on the bottom over the top of a green screen. The video mixer then superimposes live camera shots of the praise team over the green screen that is sent to the livestream PC.
    So, if I understand the macros correctly, I have to set up a ‘title slide’ macro to drop on the first slide and a separate ‘lyric slide’ macro for the second slide and associate the appropriate looks/actions. I can’t do this with one macro dropped on the first slide.
    I have to set up the themes for the looks separate from all of the above, which is probably appropriate.
    Do I have this correct?

    Thank you Jake for another great tutorial video, macro's makes thinks a lot easier for example changing to right look at the right moment in service, I hope in future to automate more thinks with Pro Presenter such as lightning etc. Looking forward to more great tutorial video's from you and your team

    I'm using macros to eliminate any repetitive / duplication of steps used within a presentation. I would like to see a new action added that would "Start Capture" so going live is a click of a slide away. Macro organization would be a nice to have feature. Having a macro folder to help declutter the UI would be helpful. Lastly, search functionality within macros would be nice. Being able to search on macro name or embedded actions would be a nice bonus.

      Have a "look" for online and another for "livestream". There are a few tutorials on YT which do that. I assume you have figured it out by now, but in case anyone else is reading these comments, thats how it's done. That was the first thing I had to figure out when first learning PP.

      Personally, I plug my ATEM Mini Pro Iso into my mac via USB and then I add it as a camera input source. I have a separate "look" for the livestream playout vs the in-house playout. I disable the background (video input) for in-house and enable the media layer. I disable the media layer and enable the video input for the livestream. I make a macro to use at the begining of each presentation which clears all the other layers before proceeding with different overlays. There's no simple way to do this, but it's worth the effort to learn. I chose PP7 to be my livestream graphics software of choice. My main livestream target is a Syphon stream which is picked up by OBS running on the same machine. OBS takes care of streaming because it's much more flexible that PP7. It also has a fallback scene in case PP7 crashes. That way the livestream is kept alive.
