@@catlovers3527 I love the Heart Mirror Zero, the technicalities are great for the price. Rhapsody has far better bass, and also crunchier mids for rock and metal music. For my library Rhapsody is the better pick, but Heart Mirror Zero is more comfy and lighter weight, thus having an use case as a daily driver. It would actually be 7Hz Sonus that beats Heart Mirror Zero in its job, and perhaps Kefine Delci as well. I hope this helped!👍
Wow! What a great review!!!! 😁 I agree with every word you said. And by the way, I always look for what a reviewer kind of specializes in. Their own niche for lack of a better word. I think the air tip rolling segments are freaking awesome. I'll be watching this one over a couple of times. And I fully agree with your assessment of both of them. And they're both good for what they are. But like you said, bang for buck especially if you can get it down to 35 bucks. It's a no-brainer. It's like I got the Conch for 22 bucks. What a deal. Doing the Ali thing. Which they have a sale coming up on the 18th. They have some pretty good coupons from Ali. In other words, the money off of anything above a certain amount. And no I don't work for them. I just love getting gear at of the affordable price. Please keep up the great work. Thank you so much! Please stay healthy Erik
I have no idea what the tips are called, but they have a wide (6.1 mm dia.) red rigid bore with dark gray silicone. I usually use a large silicone ear tip, but with the RHAPS I opted for a deeper insertion and medium tips, which allow for a flusher fitting IEM. They now fit nicely for me with the mediums and the clarity improved, significantly. I ordered Moondrop Spring Tips (both M and L) as well as Universal Latex (M, L) and SpinFit CP800 (M). I settled on the initial red/rigid wide bore silicone ear tips.
I loved the review so much that as a n owner of the Zero:Red I bought the CCA Rhapsody. The first four times I tried a Rhapsody, I was disappointed, it sound terrible. I even bought aftermarket wires thinking that would not help. I was willing to give the CCA Rhapsody one more try. This time I changed the ear buds from a small to a medium. OMG, now I love my CCA Rhapsody. I use myu Rhapsody with the bass boost dongle that came with my Zero:Reds, and if you own both IEMs you need to try it! Anyways to make a long story short, I heard that if an IEM sounds like total trash... it's probably your fault and not the IEM. I my case, I was using the incorrect earbud size. My friend thinks I am a bass head so he recommended me to buy the Scarlett Mini. If anyone tried these IEMs, please let me know what you think of them. They cost $600 - $700 -ish range.
@@BeerOverIP, when I first tried the Rhapsody, I too, was bitterly disappointed. However, after changing the eartips, I managed to achieve a good bass response. However, they hurt my left ear canal after a couple of hours. Reverend Dr. Thomas, The Vegan Vicar.
I've been into headphones since lockdown and have spent around 2-3k in total, for Christmas I got myself the Soundcore Liberty 4 and after using the custom eq hearing ID thing in the app, I can honestly (somewhat sadly) say they're my favourite IEM. If I'm really in the mood I'll hook up a £500 dac to £700 headphones and it usually sounds better but not always, slightly badly recorded stuff nearly always sounds better on the Liberty 4's... 🙃 That being said I'm very sensitive to sibilance and harshness so my custom eq settings have a lot of treble roll off..
That’s kind of how I feel about my status 3ANC, my favorite iem for medium volume. The bass gets in the way at loud volume though, so that’s where the “audiophile” eq comes in and actually sounds good. Low/medium volume the audiophile sounds dead ass.
Wow top level review. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I have the Rhapsody set and Im kinda interested in the Reds. The only thing is the wider nozzle on the Reds. How do they compare to the Rhapsody (specifically with the same L silicone tips)? Is the stock cable for the Reds the same exact cable that comes with the Hola? cuz the Hola cable is pretty wack (the over ear part is too big, especially on my left ear).
Thanks! If you like the Rhapsody, there's nothing meaningful you can gain from the Reds, plus the comfort issues and eartip fit issues. I would look probably towards 7Hz Sonus, or Simgot EA500LM, depending on what I was looking for. Sonus is around 50usd right now on sale on Hifigo/Linsoul, and it's still one of my favorite IEMs, easy rec.
@@Jaawaudio Oh damn that sucks to hear. I was wanting to get the Red but I dont want it to be uncomfortable. With the Rhapsody I dont feel any discomfort even tho theyre bigger and heavier than usual sets. I just looked up the Sonus on Ali and its down to $35 and I can use coupons for it too 🤑🤑. The configuration is the same as this other set I just ordered and still waiting for. Its the recent release of the ZSN pro 2 (1dd+1ba). Are the Sonus really like $98 regular price???
@@SpacedOutDoonie Sonus regular price is 60 usd, all Aliexpress stores make scam discounts, pretending the msrp is something much higher than it really is. But 35 usd for Sonus is incredibly good deal 👍
Nah the stock cable on the reds is the same as the Hexa/blue. The hola cable is the best one imo, but I don’t mind the reds cable. Some find it tangly, but I think it’s leaps and bounds better than the oh10 cable and the kiwi cadenza cable.
Loved the review of these two! I'm quite new into this hobby and trying to find a good neutral set in a reasonable price. My eyes have been in Zero Reds. You still think that Rhapsody could be still a better choice for my needs when the emphasis is on the neutrality? If not, got any recommendations under 100€?
Neutrality hmm, Rhapsody has a bass emphasis no matter the switch setting, Zero:Red is more neutral for sure. But the fit issues make me not rec the Zero:Red anymore. I might look into Simgot EM6L, it's a less bright Simgot.
@@Gresu, since Jaaw responded to your question, the Simgot Supermix 4 has been released, and is better than the EM6L for rock music. Which earphone did you eventually purchase? Reverend Dr. Thomas, The Vegan Vicar.
@@Jaawaudio Thanks, took me a while to figure out that the switches only shift the FR in the 20-500Hz range. I thought initially that 0010/0001 or 0011 would boost the mids/highs, but it just lowers the bass and lower mids so you hear more of the upper mids and treble coming through.
hello jaaw what do you think of the sonus vs these two, main vs the red in details, resolution, vocals etc? have you try the artti t10?i'm between the t10 and the sonus.
I haven't tried any Artti IEMs yet. Sonus is great, I pick it over these two. But my bias is that it's hitting my preference tonality near perfectly :D Thanks for the question!
The point was, that headphones have soundstage, IEMs don't. A better term would be headstage for IEMs. There's a few that are great at headstage, for example like A4000, A8000, FD5, MEST. And then 99.98% of IEMs have very little to no stage. It's a frame of reference thing, if we forget all other audio and compare IEM to IEM, then yeah, there's those 1 in 50 sets that have great stage, but the average is barely outside our skulls.
