just grabbed some of those Tangzu Sancai eartips, I use the Dunu S&S quite a bit as well and to see you using and liking the Sancai equally was a seller for me. Looking forward to the review on Xuanwu Gate
Just recently refunded my Quintet, it was very good, but I think it matched my tastes so perfectly but in a very vanilla flavor. If I wasn't struggling for money, I would have kept it as my "I know it'll be good" set I'm still chasing the magic of Plutus Beast but upgraded on everything if possible, something about it clicked and it felt like not a concert but like a small bar with the band near me. I love those oil-impregnated cables, they feel great
Hi, You have a Nice Collection, like me too. Good Job. I now have 24 to 30 IEMs in my Audiophile Collection now. I know it is a lot. I like listening & collecting IEMs. I cannot list them all. I have 3 Watch Cases just like yours too that I keep all my IEMs inside too for storage. I have all of the upgraded ivipQ and XINHS IEM Cables too. Of my 24-30 IEMs, I have a TOP "18" List that are my Favorites. I am real Happy with my Collection. I have about "5" TOP Favorite IEMs that I always take with me when I go to work in the Office, My Favorite 5 IEMs of mine are for work in an office are:, #1The Thieaudio Oracle MKII it is a 2EST+2BA+1DD Tribrid IEM, and #2The EPZ 530 IEM it is a 5 BA IEM, it is really excellent, and #3The JUZEAR 41T it is a 1DD+4BA IEM, and #4The AFUL Performer 5 it is a 1DD + 4BA IEM, it is good, and #5The Yanyin x HBB Mahina it is a 2EST+4BA+1DD Tribrid IEM. These are all really Good IEMs, these are some of the Best IEMs that sound Exceptionally Good/Fantastic with all Genres of Music, even when listening on any Dongle DACs too, they are real good. That is a Very Good TH-cam Video, Thank you very much. 😊Good Luck.
Thanks for the awesome list of your favs! Good stuff, I especially look forward to getting the EPZ 530 at some point. I will be doing another top12 list, but that one is for budget IEMs :)
Hell yea, get yourself a wrist watch storage case like it, there are many brands all over, any watch shop will have similar cases available for you I bet!
Nice IEM and cable collection. I miss having different iem's to switch between, but as my wife says "you've only got one pair of ears!" In the end I gave away or sold most of them in an effort to de-clutter my life. I only have 3 sets of iem's now with my daily driver being the Monarch Mk 3.
Look for "XINHS Headphone Cable HIFI Store", on Aliexpress. And the cable on Performer5 is "XINHS 8-core Leeds 6N silver-plated OCC+7N OCC hybrid cable"
If you already own the 500 LM, both the Performer5 and Chopin aren’t going to push the bar that far. I own the Performer5 and 8 and the Chopin. The 500LM is such a good value you’d really need to move up to the next price bracket to hear a significant difference in quality. The Perfomer8 for detail and clarity, the Hype 4 for fun and musicality. Past that, the Dunu SA6 MK2 (or Ultra if you can find it used). If you’re 100% set on a marginal upgrade, the Performer5 is what I would consider a very safe tuning. The Chopin offers a good, neutral tuning, but it sounds like a Chopin whereas the Performer5 doesn’t provide anything unique. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a great set; it’s a fantastic entry point into the $200 price bracket because the tuning is so accessible, but it’s never going to be the set where you think “it did X or Y extremely well.” It is a jack of all trades, master of none. The Chopin feels like Timmy’s answer to a more affordable Variations.
So... I already used the Tangzu Sancai Balance with my Phoenixcall and have to say that it improved the overall tonality using 4.4mm balanced output (although at 3.5mm I still prefer them with the stock white eartips). Notes: - The Tangzu Sancai are possibly the most comfortable eartips I have ever tried. - The eartips make slight changes in the sound when testing them on other IEMs (never negative results, it will depend on personal taste). - I can't listen to the Kinera's Celest Phoenixcall at a medium-high volume, only low/medium-low, but I can still enjoy the sound. - The Phoenixcall is very sensitive to changes (eartips, cables and sources). Thanks for the recomendation, I feel it was worth it! 🧐
It's a watch case, they are really awesome for IEMs yeah, check your local watch stores! Cases like this are made by many brands, in pretty much every country 👍
Nice collection! By the way, I'm torn apart between Ew200 and Nuo. What is better for Jpop and Metal. I'm upgrading from chu ii, I loved it but it lacked bass for me
Thanks! Hmm, not sure if you're going to get much more bass with those, since Chu2 bass is still pretty okay. What about eartip fit and seal, if the seal isn't full, that is going to lessen bass the most, could that be the issue?
I want to upgrade from the ZS10PROX witout spending too much, what can you suggest or recommend friend... I saw this for example: polaris,(you said that is no upgrade kz zs10pro x vs polaris, but i wanted to still including it in this tiny list; trio, rhapsody ? Ziigaat Nuo, TINHIFI T2, Simgot Ew200, BLON BL03, Zero 2? Cronch? Kiwiears Cadenza? Kz AS16 Pro? HIDIZS MS1 Galaxy or any other you think is way too good and NOT expensieve, budget price, cheap.
That would certainly be Tangzu Nezha and Tangzu Xuanwu Gate, runner ups would be Kinera Hodur and Hidizs MS3. Pretty big difference in tuning philosophy between the Tangzu sets and the Hodur/MS3, Tangzu sets are reference style, much more neutral, while the Hodur and MS3 are very V shape. Thanks for the question!
Accessibility and price mainly, I'd love to get my hands on Campfire Holocene, 7th Acoustics Supernova, Notbrand Pursuer of Emotion etc. But import taxes, shipping, and other fees are making the value drop. European stuff I will get when I find something that interests me, for sure, this is just how things are right now 👍
@Jaawaudio I guess you like me. Loud volumes. I have around 90 iems now. And I mod all of them. Some can be mod inside the nozzle. Some sound better with filter sticker nozzle tuning , ans Some with cotton nozzle tuning method. And belive it or not. In many cases they make the iem sound better and thicker than it was before regarding the tuning change
@@paulosilva8200 Thanks for the info, I will definitely look into it. I listen to all volumes, mostly low-medium, but sometimes I am in the mood for a song or two on loud, to let out some steam :D
@@paulosilva8200 Yeah depending on the impedance response of the IEM, the tonality will react to volume when non-flat impedance response. And impedance adapters are also funny sometimes. It's a lot of fun to test and explore :)
Unfortunately I don't have any of the Sennheiser sets, I lost interest in the IE200 when I discovered it needs a tape mod to sound good (because of the awkward vent on its nozzle), and then I've head middling opinions on IE900. So IE600 probably would be the one to try. Maybe someday, can't promise though :D
It is in techs and treble performance to my ear. But P5 has better bass both in quantity and quality. I rank Nezha high because of how refined and relaxed it is, but P5 is definitely more fun.
The colors of the most of your cables are too bright, which makes them tacky IMO. I think cables have to be neutral and not drive too much attention to themselves.
It's no surprise that tangzu is in the top spots, when wanners are probably the best iems under $20. The only problem is that the other tangzus are quite expensive.
