I'm not a very clean person and this stuff has changed my life. I neglect things like my stove top and hate doing dishes. I just sprayed it on my stove top that I had neglected for months and caked on eggs and grease just came right off with a paper towel. My air fryer basket that I haven't cleaned for about a year is like new after a couple of sprays and scrubs with a brush. This stuff actually makes me excited to clean.
I understand that I'm a disgusting person and shouldn't have neglected cleaning in the first place but I live alone and don't date so it's whatever. I do like not living in filth though so I'm happy that this works.

That's great to hear! I personally hate cleaning the stove, and once a week seems like a chore. Right now, my stove is filthy and I am inspired by your comment to use it on my stove too! Glad that it's helping you stay tidy. Every little bit counts.

Just because you haven't deep cleaned doesn't make you disgusting, I grew up in a hoarder environment and always said I would never let that happen to me... Now my sister isn't a clean freak hut her house is clean and cozy etc etc mine is a nightmare of biblical proportion but cleaning and my anxiety go hand in hand. Logic says start on one side of the room and clean all the way around which I use to be able to do, until I
Started experiencing anxiety now I walk into a room and the mess overwhelms me so bad my brain goes into panic mode and shuts down and I can't do it so it just ends up piling up 😔.. I do see where you are coming from and happy for you that this is exciting for you and hope it still is because I know I am getting there 🤘

@@beansmama8914 I was that way and still struggle! Cleaning, tidying, and organizing are not the same thing.. it’s totally fine to work on one at a time and gain the skills as you go to find what works for *you*. I only got this far by hiring help for 2 years twice a month. They literally slowly built up my mental health so I could focus on our health and stuff-management. I discovered gluten was setting off a lot of my health issues and by then I’d been working on our stuff slowly like a river eroding its banks, so I’ve gained a lot of traction! It’s a process.. and it’s not all progress, but eventually the efforts of trying does pay off. I wish everyone could hire help like that to support (it came at the cost of saving money towards a home though).. basically it’s just really hard to do and be it all. I hope you find what helps and don’t give up! Taking care of you will better enable you to tackle hard things. It’s possible and it’s not something to be ashamed of. I’ve carried far too much shame surrounding my ‘failings’ which added to my struggling to make them better. Best wishes on your journey to progress!

@@beansmama8914 this is me. Not sure if it will help you, but it helped me. Don't think you're going to tackle an area all at once. The moment you walk into the messy rooms and have that mindset, it automatically becomes overwhelming and triggers the flight response. Instead, set a timer on your phone for 15min. Allow yourself those 15min to pick up or put away whatever you can, take garbage out etc. Do this everyday, and if you're having a good day, maybe up it to 20, then 30. Put on a Playlist of your favourite music to help your mind focus on the songs, not the overwhelming mess! Even if it feels like you've done nothing, it will make a difference over time!

For your baking pan, line with silicone baking sheets!! Makes cleaning up soooo much easier.
For stains, have you tried bar keepers friend? Not the powder. Perhaps the foam or liquid. I think you can use on nonstick but check before using. I know it works great on stainless steel on other pans (even the ugly brown stains on the outside of pans). Not sure about nonstick

I found something called Krud Kutter and I really liked it. I tried Greased Lightning in the past and it didn’t impress me much. But pure baking soda and boiling water has saved a couple pots that I burned. I just poured a bunch on the pot with a tiny bit of boiling water and let it sit and it wiped off like oven cleaner. Sometimes I have put more water in and boiled on stove top, then let sit. Safer than lye(oven cleaner) but the same action.

Bought a starter kit at Costco today, try it on different things... not worth it. Does about the same job of regular dish soap and water. After scrubbing and rinsing I felt like the plate and cookingware are not clean so I need to wash it ... so all the process is done nothing but wasting paper towels.
If you watch carefully the label, it says that you need to scrape all the food off before using it. Nothing's better than hot water and dishwashing soap to remove the stuck food ...

I highly recommend trying extremely hot water and letting it soak with some oxiclean in the sink for however long you'd like. That left mine brand spanking new. You can also do this with your oven racks in the tub :)

For the exhaust filter, use the Fume Free Easy Off cleaner. Leave it on for 30-60 minutes and use boiling hot water to clean. If all the grease doesn't come off, then follow up with the Powerwash and leave on for another 20 minutes and rinse with hot water, and that should get it clean. I didn't experience any noxious, caustic fumes or any skin irritation. But you can open up the windows and use gloves if you feel the need to.

Another method for cleaning exhaust filters, boil it in fish soap if you have a large enough pot. Let water cool down before pouring into the drain, boiling water can damage the pvc drain pipes. You'll need to clean the pot after though.

I have a countertop dishwasher that I used everyday. Mainly because I have a single sink and it's a pain to fill the sink then have to empty it then rinse all the dishes. This is a game changer for me. Now it's so easy to wash the dishes and rinse them without filling and emptying the sink constantly. I now use my dishwasher maybe 3 times a week instead of everyday. Btw yes I'm OCD, I can't stand bits of food in my brush because I think about them staying there and rotting and then I'll be washing dishes with rotten food so what's the point of washing them anyway, yes OCD.....

    • @thegplate

YES! For me its the feeling of soggy washed up food bits touching my skin that makes me want to gag. This is great for reducing that! On a side note (despite my sponge being dank AF) I usually just toss my scrubbing brush into the dishwasher when I run it. Makes me at least FEEL less gross, hahaha.

I understand you can take regular Dawn and dilute it a certain amount and put it in one of those bottles that creates foam and not have to spend the extra money; someone did a video demonstrating it, but I can’t remember what the portions were. You might want to research and see if there’s anything to that; if it does work could save a lot of $$

I brush it in to my filter and add a little water on a cookie sheet and it gets everything clean easy peasie. The trick with the filter is to get it in to the layers and not just sitting on top.

For the stains. Although I've never tried it. I've see it advertised on Utube. Put salt on the pan. Then baking soda. Layer a few sheets of paper towel on panto cover mixture. Then spray with vinegar. Let sit for about 10 min. And wipe. Let me know if this works.

I am cleaning the baked on grease on inside of my Weber, worked 10x faster than steam cleaner & it cut thru to the base. So happy, now on to the food grate which everyone knows is a disaster. It actually has cut thru to the stainless 100×better than the easy off grill cleaner.. yes it takes a bit of elbow grease only cuz I have 1 hand jacked up. But the grease that gets the baked on sheen that never comes off.. Dawn power wash all the way!

I used engine degreaser that I get from the auto parts store of big box store. It is really cheap, and it does a great job. Also, for the vent filter, I would go old school and soak it in a bucket of diluted ammonia cleaner that you can get for pennies on the dollar.

The ventihood filter if u let it set for 5-20 mins depending on how bad it is....u don't have to wipe or scrub on it just rinse it....& due to how it's made with the layers u may have to do it a few times....& it tells u not to run the filter thru the dishwasher depending on the brand of ventihood &/or dishwasher....always read the manual especially if u have a warranty on them cuz something as small as putting something thru a dishwasher when it says not to in the manual can't void out ur owners warrenty due to in proper use/cleaning...different variables can cause different outcomes.....I use dawn power wash & have O.C.D pretty bad so I believe their is a rite way to clean & even u shud clean stuff in a certain order or it's not clean....at the end of the day it's a person's personal preference & opinion....this is my opinion & my personal preference is much higher than more....so to really know what a product can do for whatever it is it after or looking to accomplish is to just test it out for yourself....this is a good video as far as a fast test on everyday items but all in all I like this product....I use this on my dog kennels....it leaves them clean & most importantly it gets rid of the pet/kennel smell leaving it smelling better than it did when I bought them brand new....& it perfect for cleaning all or kitchen appliances down faster with less effort....I don't mind as much to clean them now...but 👍 on this video! 😇

I decided to give this stuff a try, and it REALLY works! I had to spray it and let it sit over night, and I had to do it 4 times over to get all the baked on stains off the metal surfaces, but it finally got them clean!!!

I use aluminum foil on my cookie sheet or baking pans normally, but there are certain times that it would be easier go without it and just let pieces of the food stick to the pan and use a spatula to remove it, because it can be a nightmare to peel aluminum foil off of a piece of food that it's glued to. I hope that makes sense. In general, though, I like the idea of being able to just throw the dirty piece of foil away and lightly clean the oil off the pan if there is any there.

I’ve bought this 3 times now, IMO I think it’s a waste of money. I love to soak my dishes before I wash them. With this I spray the dishes and it dosent seem to loosen up the food, no matter what it is. I’ve tried it on my trash can lid and still had to scrub the lid despite it not really being too dirty. Maybe I let it sit for too long and maybe it’s made for more of an instant use. I’m just gonna go back to what I use to do before this was invented.
