  • Welcome back to Unfiltered Stories! In today's powerful episode, we listen to Steven Smith's life journey. Raised in a dysfunctional home with an aggressive father, Steven endured a challenging childhood. He turned to another family member hoping to find a father figure in his life. Tragically, this person took advantage of Steven's vulnerable situation, causing him even more pain.
After he started his healing journey, he realized he had to leave this man and the pain he had left behind. That's why he forgave him despite what he did. This act of forgiveness allowed Steve to move forward and find peace within himself.

🙏🏾 Lord he went through so much. He was so unprotected. His father was demonic and abusive. It's also sickening what the family member did to him. This is more common than people realize. In the end I'm glad he was able to forgive them and properly heal.

So sorry you experienced such a traumatic childhood. Thanks for sharing your story, your helping me and others. It must have been so difficult as a man on top of that a black gay man to speak your truth. You are a very strong, brave man. That man groomed you. I really believe as a young boy who suffered molestation in the hands of a man, the chemicals in your brain where disrupted therefore you took the path as being gay. Like you when I suffered molestation in childhood I myself grew up a very angry person and at times I would come up in to a man's face and didn't care. Trauma does lead to stress and illnesses on the body. To except the love of God in your life really helps you to go on, it did me. I cannot find the heart to forgive, however, I have moved on. Counselling helps. I pray continuous love, light. healing and peace over your life 💜🙏🏾💜

And that's the hard thing about sin, knowing that your life and identity would've been completely different before encountering sin. Also, with sin, even if it's something inflicted on you as a child, you are pretty much on your own with deliverance and healing.
I think of it like this: someone you trusted fed you something that made you sick, but there aren't really any specialty doctors or nurses that can help with your illness. And that's how it is for some people. They need specialty health care but where are the equipped ministries?

As the man (Gen 1:26-28) KJV, a husband (Gen 2:21-25) and a father (Gen 3:16), the minister of God (Rom 13), teacher (Eph 4) and one of the survivors who was bullied in school, I am so sorry this happened to you. If I could have protected you from being harmed by "it", I would have, but I can not be everywhere all at once. (1 John 4)

So sad.. My Question is for the majority of Gayez who endure Being Rapped... why as an adult do you continue to relive this ordeal with other men? Not to mention the denial that it ever happened? The first step of healing is to expose who rapped you...and to know that sodomy is wrong.. Stop reliving this experience every day!

Unless you've been there or know someone very close to you, you will never understand Also it is possible that you already know someone that is in or in the past has been a DV relationship
You should be thankful for your walk (which isn't perfect) and have some mercy and grace

    • @melaniel7880

@@kimberlyb6522sometimes its financial support....sometimes they have been threatened and scared. The kids have been threatened. Unless you know, you don't know. Please dont be so quick to judge. A close friend of mine was killed by DV. We had no idea until she was killed. She stayed because he was the "man" and the provider. The only blessing was, he didn't do it in front of her children. And because of this, she hid it from everyone.
