  • In today's episode of Unfiltered Stories, Tanisha Bankston generously shares her profound journey of resilience and reclaiming her power. Growing up in a challenging family environment, Tanisha faced multiple betrayals of trust from those who should have protected her. When she found the courage to disclose these painful experiences to her family, she was met with disbelief rather than the support she needed.
At a young age, Tanisha faced the life-altering impact of an unplanned pregnancy resulting from the actions of someone close to her family. Despite the immense challenges she encountered, Tanisha ultimately broke her silence after nearly three decades. She channeled her experiences into a powerful self-published book, "My Pain Is My Power," as a testament to her strength and resilience. Join us in holding space for Tanisha's inspiring story with empathy and respect.

Listening to what this young lady is saying, I am really sorry for her. I know that kind of things happened to little children, but when I know that she was up to it. Because she said that the guy sex her with condom and, went she tried to have sexual intercourse without condom and. She say no,that how I strongly believe that she was old enough to know what was going on. She could have runaway from her family and, someone would take her in.she sounds like a very bad girl, we know that some of the parents are very cruel to their children, ok.

There were so many failures to Ms Tanisha from such an early age!! I’m so sorry that that no one protected you! (Maybe her mom started to believe her when she was 5, but ultimately didn’t pursue justice)-but I just don’t understand how no one would believe this little girl when she had injuries!! All those males in her life were predators!! I’m glad she spoke up, and I look forward to reading her book! ☮️
