Hey there Dave- I bought my ’92 Vmax with 8800 miles on it back in 2007. It now has a little more than 65,000 and still doing very well. When I bought it, the previous owner had the slash cut cobra’s on it and he made some jetting adjustments but it always ran way too rich and it was boggy. After a couple of seasons, I pulled the cobras and installed a set of used stock cans. It ran MUCH better but it was too quiet. A year or so later and I found the Delkevic slip-ons I have on it now and like them the best of all three options I’ve tried. (Incidentally, the Delkevics run perfectly with the stock jetting, if you’re wondering for informational purposes.) Back to you and the cobras, if you want / need it, I have the data on what Cobra recommends for jetting. From your videos, it sounds like its running fantastically so unless you just want to do so, I’d leave the carbs as is other than routine balancing / synchronizing. One last thing… in the opening, you run it up to 11K. I nearly pissed myself thinking you were going to later show us how you blew the motor! Lol that’s from another video I haven’t posted yet and I thought this thing had a Revlimiter at the time I did that as well. Installed a shift light on the bike so don’t over rev it!!? I am curious about the jetting actually I appreciate the offer.

I love this video I have a Vmax 1200 also it’s a 1988 he has super traps and has been jetted for that and I love the sound I do like those pipes on yours though it could make me switch thanks so much I appreciate all you do Pam Bonner

I like the way the Supertrap sound too. These I wouldn’t say are the best exhaust choice out of what’s available but they look the best.

Dave, you dropped the rear 3" - just with rear shocks? What size? And, what size tire? Did you do anything to the front? Thanks! - beautiful bike.
No it was rear shocks, front springs and I slid the top mounts down a bit to lower it overall 3"
