Nice one mate! Yeah they're great pieces of kit - I brought my old Kamvas 13 everywhere with me since it's the perfect size to fit in a backpack, so no doubt this new one will be travelling around with me too haha ⚔️

I just got the Kavas pro 16 last week actually and for the price it is pretty impressive I think... non Wacom tablets really went a long way from what they were in the past
Sick mate! Yeah I fully agree, it's seriously good quality for the lower price point. Not too long ago Wacom was king of the industry but it's quickly being toppled from it's throne by the likes of huion and XP pen!

I just made my first artwork using gimp which was a tricky learning experience since I normally do everything on my phone and gimp doesn't have all the filters and things like Photoshop does to get the full xerox effect. For a first attempt I'm happy with it and it's way better than a phone can do. I really appreciate this tutorial/review since even after one attempt I can tell doing everything with a mouse is super tedious 😂 I'd have no idea of what to look for in a tablet either so it's super helpful to know what some good features are because this will definitely be my next investment. I get so hype for your videos you have the best tutorials on TH-cam, you're a great teacher and an inspiration man, cheers! 😎
That's absolutely sick mate - I must reinstall gimp and give it a whirl to blow the cobwebs off and maybe make a lil tutorial vid some time!
Absolutely, using the pen is so intuitive and helpful not just for drawing/logos but for almost all other uses of a mouse!

@@SpearheadMedia that would be awesome! It took me longer to learn the software and Google things every 5 minutes to figure out how to do the equivalent things in gimp you'd do in Photoshop haha. Not to mention hunting down assets on free websites 😂 a lot of the free sites don't typically have good horror based stuff. I think next I'll take a crack at making a logo for my Horrorpunk project with some influence from Death 😂 I love all the texturing and drops you include and letters that are made from swords and scythes and things like that.

Would you say that the non-pro Huion 13 is also worth it? The pro version is a bit above my budget, but I'd love to upgrade my Wacom Intuos to a tablet with a screen
Oh yes definitely - I actually upgraded from a Wacom intuos to a regular kamvas 13 myself a few years ago, and loved it. I used that kamvas 13 about 5 days a week for years and the only issue I ever ran into was a problem with the 3 in 1 cable (likely because I was throwing it into my bag every day bringing it to and from the studio, so may have damaged it through wear) but huion support sent me a replacement after unexplained the issue! Definitely recommend it - especially for the price point in comparison to a Wacom display ⚔️

sorry for asking but i am brand new to this type of design, if anyone can help me out but how do you or how do they create a solid object using the lasso tool? Like when they trace around a typeface and then it instantly changes to a filled version of the shape they created... also if anyone has brush tips to get started? thanks a bunch! Ive always wanted to start learning how to create brutal ass band logos
Hi mate, yeah when you've made a shape/selection with the lasso tool, you can press shift and F5 which will bring up the fill function, then just select black and press enter and it will fill your selection solid instantly. Hope that helps! ⚔️
Thanks a million for getting back so quickly, I've legit been up all night watching your videos and I saw you mention this a few times and when I tried it I was having an issue where it didn't fill and I just now realized you have to be on a seprate layer first. CHEERS @@SpearheadMedia
