    Michael: the problem with the pressure in zbhush is not you hand, is an issue with photoshop open at the same time with zbrush.

    It would be really cool to see a direct side-by-side comparison between the XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2) and this Huion.
    Many artists are recommending the new XP-Pen, so it would be incredible to have a direct comparison of it with the similarly priced Pen-Display

      One difference is the screen aspect ratio. The Huion is 16:9 while the XP Pen is 16:10. I bought the Huion but I do prefer the 16:10 aspect ratio of the XP Pen.

    Thanks for the video! I have a problem with HUION Kamvas 22 in Zbrush. At times the zoom in or out in the viewport works poorly, when I zoom in or out zbrush frames the subtool in another place. Something similar happens when I move the model. It's really annoying to work like this.

    Quick warning to those that would use the Huion Kamvas Pro 16. I'm a proud owner myself, however I have noticed I loose pressure sensitivity in zBrush if I have Photoshop open at the same time. Close Photoshop and my sensitivity immediately came back in the zBrush app. Not sure if @Michael Pavlovich has seen or can confirm the same as me?

That why i returned my huion.

    Hi, anyone can help? I have a strange problem. My huion makes a high-pitched noise when the screen is turn on. When I touch the screen with pen the noise changes to a buzzy sound. A similar high-pitched noise comes from the power brick. Its quiet noise but its give me a headache. Is it normal noises? This model is my first display tablet...and i'm afraid about my pc too. Display tablets, which my friends use, do not produce those sounds.

    Bought a Kamvas Pro 16 (4K) not too long ago, and was very disappointed. In fact, the tablet is very good, although the resolution for such a screen is too excessive, but a strong ghosting effect, very striking. In my daily work I use 32' monitor with 5ms response time and 164Hz bit rate. Huion has 25ms and 60Hz respectively. I've tried to get used to the Kamvas matrix, but to me it seems incredibly slow. Maybe for 2D work it is not critical because it is almost invisible against the light background and you can draw in Photoshop without any problems, but for sculpting in Zbrush I would not recommend it.

      Thanks very interesting ; what would you say about durability ?

    • @acidicbloom
      @acidicbloom ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In general, the materials are not bad, and the responsiveness of the pen is not much worse than the Wacom. The pen is great, without batteries. Judging from the reviews and my month of using the tablet, the screen is still as good as new. I just read purely positive comments about the tablet and watched the reviews. But almost all were from 2D artists. And I don't know if it's a problem with my model specifically, because they have a 24' with 14ms response time, or if it's a matter of habit, because I use a much more responsive monitor. In general, my advice, before buying, pay attention not only to the positive reviews, but also read the specs and compare with your everyday equipment. If you google "kamvas ghosting", there are few reviews where they complain about the same problem in other models. But if you are a 2D artist, this is a much more affordable tablet than the Wacom models and the overall quality is not much inferior to the Japanese company's tablets.

    tbh untill they start making monitors at 144hz refresh rate or whatever else needs to be done to eliminate cursor lag (not brush lag) I won't really care about the new releases, iPad has spoiled me with it's zero latency

    • @acidicbloom
      @acidicbloom ปีที่แล้ว

      Feel you there. Been using Pro 16 (4K) for a month and ghosting effect is killing me. I think my HP monitor with its high refresh rate and 5 ms response time also spoiled the Kamvas experience for me. Considering that the only 120Hz tablet display is from Wacom and costs an insane $4.5K, it is really worth waiting for Huion to respond with its model.

      @walid walidos Thank you for the info mate. 🙂 What do you use it for?. I draw on a 24" monitor using an intuos (not a pen display). I think going from a 24" to a 16" is kind of a bummer for me. But im just collecting some info from people who have used it to better decide whether to buy a 16" or a 24".

    • @yugi9710
      @yugi9710 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pixbstudios it's not a downgrade cuz you will be drawing at 1:1 scale just like paper. Try 16" piece of paper. It's perfectly fine.
      Now if your intuos is large and you are used to big strokes ( shoulder movement) then it'd matter.

  • @crazylegsmurphy

    In my opinion there are only three things that matter in a tablet review. Nothing else matters unless these are solid.
    1. Is there a fan and what is the noise?
    2. What is the delay when using the pen?
    3. How bad is the parallax?

    • @buffwarriors
      @buffwarriors ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IspyrGameDev I am a professional artist and using Kamvas 20" pro at home. The pen's pressure sensitivity is just so poor that there is virtually no difference between pressure opacity on and off with photoshop's airbrush. It is a pain in the butt to use pen while color picking from the color wheel, you can't make precise selections. I simlpy have to switch to mouse whenever I want to pick a color few pixel away. The input response time is bad as well compared to wacom. If you wanna make very detailed, high-end illustraion assets Kamvas is just not efficient enough and therefore not for pros (at least to a certain degree) imho.
      At my office, I use Cintiq and it provides much smoother experience and it simply works with me. At home, with Kamvas I feel like it works against me. At the first chance I will sell my Kamvas and buy a Cintiq.

    I was not able to find the price on their site, sounds fishy to me when they are hiding it so hard. Store button doesnt work too. I had bad experience with Huion in the past, it seems like nothing changed after 2-3 years to be honest. XPPen is not better (offset pen to display = really bad, it seem like you have the same issue with the Huion when looked at properly, but you dont mention it.) Also nothing is perfect. Not even a tablet. Barely any negatives, I just cannot believe that.
