    I totally agree with your comments, the Bee Gees were unique & still are, even though Barry is the only one left, he is still writing, when he sang falsetto it used to hurt his back, apparently he suffered many years with some sort of muscular skeletal problem & was frequently in pain when singing. God bless them, they are irreplaceable. More please. Xxx

    The essential quality of BeeGees' music is you can listen to each song literally thousands & thousands of times & they remain relevant masterpieces almost a half century later & the songs still absolutely captivate listeners every single time. 'Musical genuises' does not even begin to describe these talented brothers.

    I've just lately watched a lot of reactors to the Bee Gees 'Too much heaven' and without exception all have stop rolling the tape several times to tell you how shocked they are blah, blah blah. You wonder if they were really listening.
    You however listened to the song from start to finish before commenting and clearly were blown away.....as was I as I hadn't heard this song for many years. Unique, soulful and beautifully sung by this talent trio of brothers. Effortless!

    This song was number #1 in so many countries around the world when it was released. The Bee Gees are singing in falsetto especially Barry (in the middle)....it would be extremely difficult for any male singer to sing this song with their normal voice. The harmony is out of this world. I'm from the U.S. and a big fan of this legendary group!

    It’s nice to hear a younger person say that… About the music today. Kids don’t wanna hear that but they’re teenagers and they listen to one of their friends listen to. Let me tell you something music has changed and not for the better. Grinding on a stage and trying to be as sexy as you can and showing some fast cars and throwing some money around and a video does not make you a musician or excellent singer songwriter. These guys were the whole deal. They wrote a ton of their own songs, They composed a ton of their own songs. They are all very good musicians if you watch them in a live concert you will see they all can play instruments in fact one of them plays about seven of them

    Your comment about todays music all sounds the same is spot on. This is why the Bee Gees had lasted so long (50+ years), as they kept developing their music. If Barry Gibb had not tried and found that he could do falsetto back in 1975 for the song 'Nights on Broadway', who knows, the Bee Gee's might not have lasted as long as they did. But with Barry's falsetto which became so natural for him that he could turn it on and off when needed, allowed the Bee Gees to go off in another direction. If Maurice and Robin were still with us, who knows where the Bee Gees would have developed into for today. But they certainly would not sound the same as the music is today.

    Spot on! The Bee Gees are unique. They have 50+ years singing professionally. They have evolved and changed over the decades, but the flawless harmonies are still there. They write and perform their own songs. They wrote songs for other famous singers. They can also be very funny as well.sadly, Barry, he oldest brother ( the one in the middle in this video) is the only one left alive. They started singing together as kids. Barry just turned 75 and lives in Miami wit his wife. He has 5 grown children and 8 grandchildren, last I heard. Him and the twin brothers were born on the Isle of Man and later moved back to the mainland and Manchester. After their youngest brother Andy was born in 1958 they immigrated to Austrailia . That is where the Bee Gees got their real professional start and their name. They moved back to England in '67. They had some really great songs back then as well. They moved to America in the mid 70's ( I believe), Miami, Florida. They still maintained homes in the UK too. Barry and his wife became US citizens in the early 200's, but have duel citizenship with the U.K still. They also produced other artists. So much talent in one family!

    @lydiabugner6437 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is the most perfect love song ever and this was from 1978. And they wrote the music, the poetry of their lyrics, the arrangements for the orchestra and then they sing it. And they did this for all the songs they recorded or sang and also wrote songs for other artists like Ceiine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Dione Warwick, and a lot more. All this with no formal music or voice training. No auto tune here. All the harmonizing is natural and not forced and it is all their voices. No one sounded like them or will ever sound like them again. They were the whole package. Listen to their song "Alone" which was done in the late 90s and please pay attention to the video that it goes with that shows some of their old home movies growing up together.
