    I have always used Delonghi Automatic machines. My Magnifica XS just died after 10 years. I am on the hunt again. I was considering this machine, this video made me decide to get another Delonghi. That grinder seems very wobbly and loud. The pump also sound way louder. Thanks for the video sir!

    Great video Bryan!! Being a cigar smoker, coffee and especially espresso goes hand to hand. One thing you forgot to mention is to avoid using very oily beans. Oily beans can clog up the grinder and that leads to frequent clean ups. I’ve been using semi and fully automatic machines the past 15 years and I’ve learned the hard way. Keep up the good work!

    awesome machines..I've been using the Philips 5400 for 3-4 months. Love the coffee it makes and the simplicity. Can't beat it !!! Ive been using Lavazza Caffe Espresso / Pablo's Pride Gourmet Coffee(low acidity) from Sam's club.....Thank Bryan!!

    Had ours for 14 months, so glad we did it. Was worried that the newer model w/ touch screen that was available in Europe would come out, and it eventually did, but I would've missed out on 6 months of great coffee in the meantime. The biggest difference on 4300 seems to be touch screen and 2 user profiles (which would be nice). For those who like frothed milk, the Philips models w/ LatteGo is the one to get. Can't beat the convenience of the milk carafe on this system. Just pop it on and off and store it in the fridge.

    Extremely helpful. I like both Guatemalan coffee for a regular cup of coffee and I like latte's. Should I just grind my Guatemalan in my burr grinder and make it in the ground coffee compartment on the Americano Large setting?
    I didn't see the link for your little 4.5 oz pour cup?

  • @tam8197

    sounded like the machine did a pre-infusion, helps with the extraction of the coffee from the ground beans !

    Got really excited about the machine. But read the reviews online and seems it can break down after a few months for some. Wanting to wait on you for an update at about the 4 month mark.

    • @COGuyStuff
      @COGuyStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      lol I don’t know where you got such nonsense. You can change it whenever you please. You do need to send a few grinds through before you see the difference though, between changes. There is always some grinds in the chute under it.

  • @Has_B94

    I’m more used to pulling my own shots but my husband wanted an automated one. Can you explain why the pick of grind is just watery? I’m ran a bunch of shots.

    • @COGuyStuff
      @COGuyStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      Too watery means too course. You also need to run 4 grinds through to see any change. What is grinding is not what it’s brewing, there is some in the chute.

    How would you do compare the quality of the espresso this makes as compared to say a Starbucks espresso?

    • @COGuyStuff
      @COGuyStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      On par. Good enough for daily use. That being said, Starbucks is not a high standard. This is not something that will wow an espresso lover. But it’s super easy, makes a fast delicious pour, and is very economical. If you want high quality you still have to do it all manually, no super automatic can deliver that.

    Thank you for the video! We just got this same machine yesterday. The pucks are nonexistent. Just soup. does this change after a while. Or should we be worried? havent touched the grind as the manual says not to for a month. So it is set at six.

    • @COGuyStuff
      @COGuyStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The chute holds a few grinds worth before it hits the mechanism. Just run a few espresso cycles until it’s full and starts packing.

  • @delsarcade
    @delsarcade 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So I just got mine and I (think) I'm disappointed? Before each brew it injects a bit of plain hot water into my SHOT, watering it down. Why oh why? Wondering if mine is defective or if that's by design. If so, I'm returning it. Thoughts?

    • @COGuyStuff
      @COGuyStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is called pre-infusion and is a very good thing found on better machines. If however you see plain water coming out through your grounds, it means you either aren't set fine enough (it's leaking through) or you just set it up and it's not fully packed. It takes several cycles to fill the internals first, to start working correctly, you have to run a few through and dump them to get it charged.

    • @COGuyStuff
      @COGuyStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Note you also need to run a few through after changing your grind settings. It is not brewing what was instantly ground, there's a 2-3 shot amount in the shoot from the grinder to the extractor.

    Nice review! The directions included are meh to say the least, I was questioning why my coffee was so “watered” down out of the box. Now the water buttons make a lot more sense! And I learned more about a couple other things!

  • @TheAlioop16
    @TheAlioop16 ปีที่แล้ว

    It stores more beans than water. I have to refill the water often.

    • @COGuyStuff
      @COGuyStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      That completely depends on what you make. The bean and water quantities chosen for each drink. Also, how many you make in between on and off cycles,since each one uses quite a bit of water to preheat and clean. So, yeah, that’s normal.

    Why is Seth Rogan reviewing coffee machines…?

  • @carlosgouveia
    @carlosgouveia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Got this machine today and I'm very disappointed, the coffee looks and tastes weak (I'm using premium beans so it's not the coffee, also tried cheap ones), the foam is very thin and goes away as I take one or 2 sips, and since I know the taste of the coffee that these beans can produce, this machine is miles away of producing the same flavour.
