The 17-20 MDX Sport Hybrid powertrain was only $1500 more compared to a similar tech or Adv 3.5L sh-awd model. I would have traded my 19 MDX Adv Sport Hybrid for the +22 MDX Type-S if it had the hybrid powertrain mated to the 3.5T engine (+420hp, +420tq, near 5 sec 0-60 mph, 21-23 mpg city/combine/hwy). I have zero need to tow anything in my +40 years of driving.
I try to order the blue, but it couldn't come with red interior. so, we went white outside and red inside. my dealer said I got the first one in Houston area. I guess. I don't care about that. just glad after 3 months waiting for this Advanced to come out is finally here

Absolutely love the look, but pretty concerning hearing all the bad reviews pertaining to the infotainment system on the 2022 MDX’s. Can anyone elaborate on whether the type S is having the same problems, and is it worth waiting for the 2023 model and hope Acura fixes the glitches?
@@jeffklem4489 I have yet to see an issue like this, and this video doesn’t really say exactly what’s happening. I say this because we have had people who are turning their car back on because their screen stays on so they think they need to hit the on button again. Well that turns the infotainment system back on and kills the battery. Probably a user error.
What is the difference between regular type s and ultra type s hp wise? If it's the same, what is the point of having 2 different type s? I'm sure you can easily upgrade the wheels to match and paint the plastic trim as well. Different suspension or same? Looks like they got the same brakes as well.
There are lots of differences pointed out in the video other than trim. Paint options are the same, engine is the same. The 25 speakers, massaging seats, heads up display, quilted leather, second row heated seats, are just a few. Those wheels alone would be about $5,000 alone.
@@DuragVince- a spec comes with the tech package.. So the advance pack you have to look up but I think you get a few things like surround view maybe a hud with a more traditional styling with chrome trimmings
Looks good but gas mileage is atrocious. By far the worst in its class. If the Advanced is any indication, that gas mileage is far far worse than advertised.

I like the wheels and flat black paint on the regular Type S! Can you get the same wheels on the blue Type S?

Man, for that price I do not like the seat pattern or quality. They don't look durable either.
How does this compare to the aspec?
The a spec is for looks.. No performance enhancements. The type S gets performance enhancements & the upgrade to the looks.
