Just finalized the deal and pricing. Yes in canada with taxes, a few options and all the fees you are just over $100K with some options added, but a similar equipped Audi Q7 with or BMW X5 4.0 both having the same options, they are $15-20K more. Looking forward to picking up in the next few weeks and many years of driving experiences. I have been waiting since June 2021 when it was announced and should be one of the first in customers driving on the road.
@@afzalshaikh2128 thanks but I plan to keep for atleast 7 yrs so long term. All my previous Honda/Acura products I keep for atleast 10yrs. Great realiablity. Hoping this follows the same.
On the MDX type S, I wish it was 400 hp to compete with the power of the Genesis GV 80, Lincoln SUV. Also I wish they would have had the exhaust sound as TLX type S. And last ventilated seats in the second row and air vents in the third row.
the MDX has vents under the second row that sends conditioned air to the third row & all HP is not created equal. Watch the drag race videos pitting the MDX Type S against similar competition with more HP. The ten speed tranny is a big advantage for the MDX, achieving 0-60 times in the 5.4 range. Just how fast do you want a three row SUV to be?
Nice video. I think Acura could have provided an active exhaust to please those that prefer a bit more growl in the exhaust. The fake exhaust noise inside is unnecessary. They also need to offer wheel options from the dealer. NSX wheels would look great on the MDX. Thanks for the video.
Exactly. The actual exhaust makes no sound at all and honestly it's not worth the price tag. You're better off just putting a quad exhaust on the 2022 aspec model. Great suv but lacks much needed horsepower and torque compared to the competition
@@garysandhu5082 i was definitely expecting the same, they dropped the ball. This should be competitng with the BMW X3M or X5M and it failed lol. I myself will just go for the aspec and do some modifications. Hopefully acura get it together in the future
@@Foreign84 the potential for the MDX is definitely there. They have a great platform. They just need to unleash the power potential. I would also have been happy with this engine mated to a plug in battery to get that extra boost.
@@garysandhu5082 absolutely look wise it's a sexy suv in my opinion lol! I don't care for the touch screen but I'm sure they'll eventually change that anyway. But just add more horse power and torque with a better sounding exhaust and close the wheel gap some.
@@atlaspop8123 fair enough, however all those models are $15-20K more then the Type S Advance. I don't thing Acura intended to compete in that arena and price point, more like with the Q7 55, X5 40i and Volvo XC90 T6. Everyone's definition of "performance" can differ.
I just bought the type s advanced for my wife and she is so happy with it
Awsome! Congrats. She will love it!
5:50 exactly, if people understood this segment, they would know that all of the competitors have conservative exhaust notes just like the MDX Type S
Nice video with minimal dealership sales bias. Didn’t expect such balance. We’ll done!
Thank you for the feedback and watching!

JB4 has the tuner dude for the TLX S and the MDX S puts you way over 440 + turns your S into a 12.4 and 0-60 4.3 your done!!!

Great video. I have a Type S Advance coming in at the beginning of April and I can’t wait. Trading in my ‘22 A-Spec.

Dealerships are jacking prices up 15k in PA. Not right!!!
Thanks for the driving impressions. Very cool!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Mine is due to arrive next week. I put my order in last year and the dealer I’m working with has sold their entire allocation.
I love it wish that was my car
Canada fully loaded warranty, rim protection basically loaded 86000
This should have came out a year earlier, now with gas prices not going down anytime soon, I want to convert to a PHEV SUV.
Made 60 in 6.1 seconds...Thats disappointing
Says the wife. Lol
There are now plenty of test/comparison videos out where the Type S Advance is in the 5.4 range, using proper testing methodology.
0-60 in 5.7s, lol
what should it be?
