    The dog one horrified me. I recently lost my best furry family member, a 14 year old Australian Shepherd. I'd never had a pure bred dog before, but after researched the breed and found it to be a great fit for my home and lifestyle. The only regret is that he's gone. He was the smartest, easiest to train, and most fun and chill dog I've ever had. He was good around people but instinctively protected me from certain people or animals and I never questioned his judgement. I trusted him and he trusted me. He was so perfect that honestly the thought of getting another dog just isn't something I can consider for a long time. I miss him but am grateful to him for allowing me the opportunity to live and grow with him.

    I have a Dyson v10 animal. The “animal” is the model that has all the bells and whistles. I don’t find it requires any more maintenance than any other vacuum. And it’s certainly less maintenance than a bag vacuum. I love my Dyson vacuum. It was worth every penny . I agree. Dogs are not luxury items. They are animals. I for one love my purebred Havanese and I am an allergy sufferer so I cannot have a dog that is not cleared as a hypoallergenic breed. There were many instances where others told me to “adopt, don’t shop”. I make sure that I find ethical breeders when shopping for a purebred puppy because there are many ethical purebred breeders around although some may think otherwise. I do think it’s unfortunate that there are so many dogs in shelters that need a home, however the large amount of dogs that are actually in shelters would not fit my criteria especially since many shelters do not have documentation of the dog’s breed or history, let alone if it has a lineage of medical issues. Adopting an animal from a shelter is not for everyone. I personally rather not want others to force their beliefs on me. If that’s something they want to do, so be it, however there are reasons why people seek breeders over adopting from a shelter.

    • @catalinaquijano6477
      @catalinaquijano6477 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. I have both bred dogs and rescued! Both are expensive! My horse I rescued, she was expensive and worth every penny. My sweet bully dog rescued cost me 10k for surgery and I painfully lost him. I don’t regret a single penny. There is no price on love.

    • @CogMarks
      @CogMarks ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with you. I have tried to adopt a cute small dog from a rescue, but they charge high adoption fees, or the dog may have developed bad habits, and the rescue always, always wants to adopt those dogs to people with a stay at home mom and a fenced back yard. After dealing with that foolishness, I’ve stuck to buying purebred dogs from breeders. The cat rescues are almost as bad about having ridiculous requirements like wanting home visits. I think home visits are too intrusive.

    • @lovebug9386
      @lovebug9386 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CogMarks the reason they are so intrusive and higher in price is to try and limit the amount of dogs that end up returning to the shelter. Also, some people will adopt a dog and agree to spay/neuter and other veterinary care and then not follow through. So many shelters and rescues are above capacity it's becoming an epidemic, if it's not already. And the same goes for cats. No, it's definitely not for everybody but, tbh pets in general aren't and shouldn't be for everybody... 🤷🤷

    Whilst the idea of designer luggage is alluring, I wouldn't want to draw too much attention to myself as a target of theft and also I see how some baggage handlers throw the luggage onto the plane lols. For me, it's something I can be more frugal about so I can invest in other things. Sadly, there are some people that see animals as "things". They are not. They are sentient, living breathing little souls and members of our families. I have a feeling they wrote it like that to get picked up by news outlets and social media for the click bait etc.

    From a Gemologist in the gem trade: Diamonds (Natural diamond of high quality VVS F_D are very RARE ) Natural diamonds in small sizes IS clarity H-below and most industrial grade (Walmart diamonds) quality are plentiful just like Gold. However Like gold , Diamonds are controlled distribution as both Gold and diamonds are commodities many countries use it to back their currency (Russia's government has one the largest reserves of diamonds in the world followed by India so does Canada as you guys have Mines (Canadian diamond are more valuable as there only a few mines that produce the poller bear diamonds and very much controlled distribution by the Canadian movement and share holders. ). Lab grown diamonds are fare from ethical, it takes more energy then to mine natural ones and creates heavy air pollution to create them. Once China floods the market with them , the lovely ladies who get divorced in 3-7 years will find out that their lab grown Daimond at a pawn shop is worth $25 no matter size or quality . Its already happening in fact , Lab grown diamonds have dropped 30% in the last year as more manufactures create them .
    Natural diamonds will never get flooded into the market as Governments hold them as a commodity and the gem industry controls the distribution . Many who get divorced in 5-7 years will a get a minimum of 60% back on what they paid for a natural diamond. If it a fine diamond D color VVS1 clarity ideal cut 5ct they will make 5-10% profit in 5-7years. While your D VVS lab grown will be worth $25 even if your hubby paid $25-40k for that lab grown diamond during the hot marketing period.
    FYI (All luxury goods are to be purchased for pleasure!! not for investment even though some can make profit. Birkins seem to make the best investments in bags and high fine rare colored untreated gems and fancy natural colored diamond will 100% make you a profit . at the end of the day unless you have $$$ to risk on investment gamble ...always buy for pleasure first...
    special nite: A 55ct Ruby just sold at auction for $39million , and a 5ct pink natural diamond just sold for $30million at Sotherby's in June, yet that same diamond sold back in 2015 for $1.2million def a big investment return. or the RICH. No lab grown will make you a cent only loose $$.

    I can’t laugh anymore😅 “the president of housecleaning”
    I love my Dyson super powerful vacuum, I bought it because I don’t have a maid to clean my house. Maybe that’s why the so called president is compliant he wants us to hire a maid instead of buying expensive cleaning equipment

    I am going to say this, I totally agree with what you said about dogs not being an item. I agree with most of what you said anyways however, I am just going to point out the fact that people very much DO treat dogs like a luxury item. Especially certain breeds that become "trendy" such as Poodles, Yorkies, Frenchies, etc.... So, while most of us agree that our furbabies are our family, I can see why they included them in the list.

      Have to disagree with poodles. That's been my favorite dog breed for decades, and most people discount the breed as being frou-frou, snooty, neurotic, any number of negative stereotypes. "Doodles" (poodle-mixes) are such a trend not only because a lot of them look like "teddy bears" but because they get the hypoallergenic properties of the poodle (which is in a lot of cases a lie) with the personality of a golden retriever, labrador retriever, etc. Poodles get hated on a lot.

    • @lovebug9386
      @lovebug9386 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Hannah_Becton I know they do but, I'm specifically speaking more along the lines of high society back in the day. Was just using different s breeds that have been trendy at some point. However, I will say that the actual standard poodle I don't see much of anymore but, I do still see toy poodle mixes quite frequently... Not as often as Chihuahuas and Pomeranians now though.

    I got a Rimowa a few weeks after I got the LV Pégase because I was worried I might have to check the LV in. I got the M size Rimowa which is a check-in size. A few days before I went on a trip, I went to a Rimowa store to get my tag hot stamped and was shocked at the condition of a luggage someone brought in for repairs 😂 I wouldn’t want my luggage to look like that even after a hundred trips considering the amount they cost. So, yeah, I kinda agree with the high end luggage stuff 😅

    Diamonds mined from the earth are actually more rare due to the imperfections they naturally form when being created. Lab grown diamonds are in fact more “perfect” due to the controlled environment- which to the average person is just as good tbh lol. Unless you are a royal with handed down heirlooms, having the most rare diamonds/gems is not necessary. It really isn’t. Lab grown diamonds without natural imperfections would be my choice. No need to flex as most people can’t tell the difference anyways between natural and lab. Yahoo Finance had me in splits today 😂😂😂

    We’re up to vacuums and so far I regret none of these purchases. Whoever wrote this article is very odd. (I don’t believe in buying blood diamonds, but I’m aware that the whole diamond thing is basically a scam and I’m ok with it, as long as everyone else believes the scam, it’s still worth it 🤷‍♀️)
    Ok, I’m out with the pool tables 😂 lamo I don’t want any kind of pool table, most ppl don’t even have room for one wtf

      My dog is not an item and I will never regret him. We got our cat at the shelter and she’s great, but the dog is completely worth what we paid for him. He comes with a health guarantee from a wonderful reputable breeder and he’s perfect for our lifestyle. Don’t buy dogs from a puppy mill, yes, but all breeders are not evil

      @@SuperDacob For me, wearing a lab grown diamond it would be as wearing a fake designer bag - It does not feel right. What makes a diamond special to me is the feel I get when wearing and looking at this natural "stone/rock" found on the earth that happens to spark as beautiful as a star?, from the original creator to me. it is amazing. Something, that is not comparable to a rock created by a men in a lab. 💗

    There is certainly more value in a mined diamond that is discovered, mined and cut than a leather handbag sourced from a dead cow or lamb. I disagree with the premise of what you say. If one believes in God then owning and finding a perfect stone is a real ambition for some. There is a shortage of high quality certified stones. I’ll never buy a lab grown diamond, ever.

    That dog recommendation is utter bull. Purchasing a purebred dog ensures that you know what health issues the dog you have has because of lineage. Breeds are technically prone to certain issues but knowing what your dog's parents' parents' parents' have technically reduces the chances of your dog having that problem. (I.E. hip dysplasia) As a rule, most responsible licensed breeders should be keeping track of the dog's lineage to a certain generation.
    While I do recommend adopting over purchasing a purebred dog, I think that some people might not be ready for a dog that might have had issues because of their previous owners. Some poor dogs have suffered from mental issues and/or behavioural issues because of how their previous owner treated/neglected them too. And while an experienced owner can handle and treat these dogs with the love and care they deserve, a new pet owner might not be able to handle these dogs not through any fault of the new owner but simply through inexperience. And that gives rise to the possibility that the dog will go back into the adoption system :(
    A person should be able to choose what sort of dog, whether adopted or purebred, so they can increase their chances of keeping the dog. As Dacob said, I think everyone should research what sort of dog suits your lifestyle best before purchasing or adopting. It's a whole lot of responsibility because unlike your kids that grow up and become independent, your dog will always be dependent on you for your love and care for the rest of it's life.
