Wanted to come back to this video to say thank you! My battery was fried over the winter on my 2015 c7 and this video saved me a lot of money by teaching me how to replace it myself. She’s running like brand new now. Hats off to you brother thanks again
Np ✌️
I appreciate the video, but I learned that I am going to take it to dealership to have it done.
Thanks for the video. It will help avoid some frustration with getting the old battery out & the new one back in.
I have to change mine next year. Thanks for the video.
'19 GS here. Very very very helpful. Thank you.
Yw
Because I saw you flip the battery sideways (longways?), you saved me a lot a lot of aggro...and time!
right lol..
Absolutely awesome!!! Subscribed.
Thank you for the video.
I need to check mine also after I add that Milwaukee ratchet to my collection 😀
Hah yeah.. xmas is around the corner lol
Disconnected and reconnected battery. Got soft code U0422. (No CEL just on the obd reader) will this clear after a few cycles? I sincerley doubt and hope not that the PMC went bad and would need to replace
That doesn’t look as bad as what some people have said about it. A little PITA but I’ve swapped out batteries in my Harley’s.
What about window operation? memory?
omg thanks a lot.
I need to do mine
What size is the nut on the red cable you took off the battery that was attached to the piece with the fuses on it?
1/2 inch
I use this guide whenever messing with it. Anyone know what that attachment (with a bunch of silver screws) near the positive end do?
show time of video of this ' bunch of silver screws''
@@AutomotiveDysfunction 00:45. I know it’s the positive terminal but haven’t seen this setup before
@@airforcex9412 oh yea its bunch stupid wires lol I think there is fuses in there too
Mine didn’t come with a rubber plug for the hole on the positive side, do I need it?
Where at show time In Video?
@@AutomotiveDysfunction at 3:24 how you plug the hose into the hole, I see people plug the hole on the opposite side with a rubber plug but rewatching your video I don’t see you do that to yours either so I’m assuming it doesn’t matter
@@jlove24 yea at 3:24 I did plug it In .. that’s for real releasing gasses from battery
If the battery is disconnected and the power is cut off, are there any consequences on the circuits and the control unit?
No
My negative won’t pop out what do I do???
stick flat smaller screw driver separate clamps and pull up(while wiggle left to right)
No coding or stereo resetting?
no
a T5 size battery would be a better choice, in lithium of course
The engineer responsible for this should be fired and never work in his/her field....ever!
Continuous narration about what you are doing, including socket sizes as well as order of operation would be much better instead of the useless (and rather annoying) music.
Trade the ratchet for a battery carrier.
So glad the car doesn't need a dealership to install a battery like some modern cars today. IMO, it's just another way for dealerships to rob customers of their money.
Wrestling with a 50 lb lead battery trying to get it out made me cringe. For Gods sake, get a LITHIUM battery. Best deal is from LithiumMoto where u get a remote auto restart feature and weighs only 16 lbs!
You ain't kidding. The design bastards couldn't dare give us an extra 1/4" to play with to actually make it easy, could they! Rotated to get it out but it would NOT rotate back in, WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
